I love that Stark offers the choice to have the rear break on the right foot. None of the other electrics offer it and it's super nice if you're used to riding gas bikes.
YES So many e bikes would benefit from a PROPER foot brake for us gas riders!
people use the foot brake on dirt bikes I've been riding for 20+ years and have never used the rear brake
But not familiar if you are a mountain bike rider.......so which one are you coming from? Some will be Motocross bikes and some will be MTB....

I would like to contest the idea of Alta being OG. My dad was huge on new dirt bike tech and I love dirt bikes myself. Unfortunately he passed away in 2016 when I was only 9. He was one of the first owners of the Electricross Drift dirt bike that was one of the first electric dirt bikes out there (that for its time) was doing very well in the racing industry. Unfortunately Neil Saiki left Zero and since then Zero has been nothing but talk talk talk. I am in the process of trying to get the drift back up and running. It only has 20HP (44 mph) but it has torque like hell because of how insanely light it is. I know that if my dad was still here he would 100% have an Alta and a Stark Varg since he was a pioneer in electric dirt bikes.

BEAR! A typical ride in Nor Cal. You either see a bear or a mountain lion chilling, lol. I got to ride the Stark Varg and I stayed in mode 2 as well. It's a monster compared to my Alta Redshift and my KX450F. I'm in Nor Cal. You need to come ride after we get good rain. So much better, it's so dry right now.
I'm near Folsom, outside of Sacramento and I ride my Surron Ultra all over. After the rain is the best!

I just got a Talaria XXX and it is crazy where electric bikes/motorcycles are going and is why I didn't want to spend more $ atm when things are getting better & better. However, for 13k that bike is nuts. I thought that the Ultra Bee was a decent buy at 6.5K vs a Sting R if you wanted a true dirt bike, but this thing is next level.

I have 10.5k into my decked Scott Ransom emtb, once I got Dt swiss wheels and suspension upgrades. 13k is a perfect price. Hopefully that battery lasts cause its expensive:)
@@danielbernard9706 Nice, I hope that you both enjoy it. For longevity try to keep it above 30% and below 80-90%. However, that all depends on how well you can ride and how fast you can go. I have seen a vid of a pro rider that could really push it going through fully charged batteries pretty quick, but for the average rider it should last a while. I normally charge my XXX right before I go for a ride and never charge it after a ride unless it is under 30%, and then I do not fully charge if I remember.

I did a lot of testing on my Alta and I found that the 18-in wheel uses much more battery power than the 19-in wheel. Also the wider the tire the more battery power it uses to so I don't go above a 110 on mine.
That Kinda goes without saying tho? Since it is a little bit smaller wheel with more flex so ypu need to put.or throttle for The same result
@@randomvbg7653 the 18 an 19 inch wheels have the same dimensions. The 18 is 3lbs heavier though and yes had more flex, so I think it's a bit harder to spin up. The 18 is definitely a more comfy ride haha. I was really surprised though that it used so much more battery power.
@@JoshStreetDesign honestly sounds worth it. Ive only ridden gas bikes and 18 has alot more grip and is alot more comfy.

its not twice the power my 250 4t can go 80 mph and has 50hp
@@eddiekolbert 250fs can't do 80 mph unless you have it geared super high which would make it a dog. 65 70 is what they top at and 42 hp. My KX450F has 58 hp and it barely hits 80mph. It's 20 horsepower less than a Starg Varg. 20hp difference is a big time power difference especially since it's on tap at any RPM.
Ridiculous you really said that a 450 got 40hp? Lmao factory is over 60-65 and tuned easily 80+

The more at look at it, the more beautiful it is, its awesome (as you Americans say).

Didn't expect to be saying this, but after looking further in to this bike, I'd 100% own this over my Yamaha.
And I'd have to admit the first thing I'd do would be dial that 80hp back to something more manageable, but that would no doubt give me longer on our gnarly and isolated trails.
Would LOVE to get a lights kit and super-retard wheels and make it my daily.
get the cheaper version it only 60hp .. you don't need 80 ..

This is what I would expect Stark Industries (Iron man) would make a dirt bike, but it would just need a machine gun mounted to it.
I don't think putting those tiny supermoto wheels on this bike is a good idea. You can put some street tires on it, but you need the size, or it might be completely out of control. But if you want to try it, I'd like to see what happens. 😁

I've got my deposit and waiting to hear when it will be ready. My concern is distance. Most of my dirt rides are in the 30-40 mile range, but a few 60 mile days happen. I'd like to let go of my tx300 and just have this, but not a fan of walking a 250+ bike out of the mountains if battery doesn't last. Other than that, can't wait to get it

I have one coming, same grey color. It'll see supermoto duty before it sees dirt. We have two nice kart tracks in my area here in Wisconsin and this thing is going to get some proper track time. I've yet to see some sm a Varg, but they use KTM mx forks, so finding wheels will be easy. You're more than welcome to come visit the cheese state and get some track time yourself for the channel. No eta on mine yet, placed the order about 6 months ago.
