If it's gonna be street ridden, see if they'll send you a updated FW that's tuned for super moto. Also, maybe check into some super wide lug adventure tires for it, so you always get good grip on both the urban and rural riding.

I had a ZERO FX. THE MOST FUN motorcycle I EVER had! Only 44hp & 80+ torque. It would effortlessly wheelie with me weighing 205 lbs. I could Hoon through neighborhoods at night and no one the wiser. I could pass people with their dogs, kids and even babies in buggies and just a smile and wave. NEVER causing drama. I miss it! This bike is AWESOME. As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇
Me too. Had an FXS until I broke it trying to fit the next size bigger zero motor and controller into it for more power. Due to get my stark varg next month. When he talked about finally getting to a point where he didn’t want any more power.. it restored my hope in life and humanity.

Finaly you got one! had my Varg since December. Best bike i've ever had! The reason why it cut outs for you is not for the regen etc. The engine has an rpm limit, if you rev it that long it cut outs to prevent it from overheating. Like said its not made to be pinned for minutes at a time etc its made to be ridden in the dirt. Mine has never cut out.
Cutting out is a bad feature, proper programming would have it reduce power if needed, not kill the bike.
@@JRP3 Due to the extreme amount of power and heat the engine generate it is the best solution to save the engine. Reducing the power won't cool off the motor enough.
@@farbrornilsson9709Why do no other EV's behave that way? A well designed controller with proper programming will be able to back down the power if it starts getting near elevated temperatures. This is just poor design and programming, nothing else.

@@JRP3 Why do no other EV's behave this way? Because there is no other EV's that run this amount of power and torque. You forget the fact that this is a race bike not surron, you can't back down power at a race, its better to run the limit. Overall this is not an issue at all on the Varg and mine has never shut down, not even on street riding. Its made for tracks and enduro not being pinned full throttle for minutes at a time, its too powerful for that. Do the same thing on a 2 stroke and you'll be walking home lol.

If these seem too expensive, have a look at Electro&co. They do kits you can convert your old mx bike with.... just remove the gas engine and install the electric one.
The shape of the saddle is designed more for motocross / dirt, with full moto gear on, so that when you go into corners with speed you can sit forward while braking and it compresses the suspension evenly helping to prevent dumping the front end going into a turn as well as helping maintain control as you transition from brakes to gas again leaving from the corner. Will you be sitting that far forward in the saddle riding in the street much?
Yes also it's supposed to help keep the front wheel down and help with controlling a slide. If he were to get sideways with where he was sitting he'd be going down at least on dirt

I’ve never seen you run dual surface tires and I think you REALLY should bcs you’re always going from on-off road. ESPECIALLY now with this bike you need to be SURE there will never be any discrepancy between power and grip. Please stay safe. This is the supermoto bike I wanted 5 years ago when I was getting into supermoto. Wanted to get a battery bank inside of my sprinter to recharge it at the track and have the battery bank slowly recharge from the solar on top of the van. There just wasn’t anything like it at the time except the Zero which went under. I think this bike will help push the motorcycle industry into electric faster now that people are seeing how fun they are.
Dude Zero is still around. I'm guessing you're thinking of the Alta Redshift. The Stark Varg is kinda a tribute to that bike. To bad HD F'd them over and killed the company.

Might not have enough cooling, don't forget that the batteries also heat up. And if this is speed mode 1 out of 5, I expect 5 to instant loop or burnout. For most consumers there should be a mode 0.5 but what an awesome bike. It probably smokes my yamaha fzs 600 on 0-100

Dont forget! If you need to adjust the power settings to make it easier or less scary to ride/wheelie, you can change the settings. both power and regen. You arent just limited to the 5 modes that it comes preset with.

incredible bike. I found ebike from new can static snap a couple of times, before finding its way. all those motors are a wire flip away from being a generator..imagine what any bleed at all does. I love these things, I like to find all the faults..and live with them.

When I was in high school, i bought a used gen 1 Mazda RX7, which had 90hp from the factory. I think the car year was an '82...it think, but it was 1-2 years before they updated body styles to the gen 2. Regardless, 80hp in that tiny bike is unreal!!!

if you are really going to use it on the street, I recommend you to upgrade the front brake because the one that comes with the bike is meant for the dirt bike use.

edit- Just finished watching and I got a stupid grin from ear to ear. UA-cam got some crazy new content coming, I can't wait. This is gonna be SUCH A THING. Stark really needs to RAMP UP PRODUCTION and release a street legal version PRONTO while they still have a lead on ALL the other manufacturers. Right now with demand exceeding supply they can yield crazy margins like Tesla used to have. When Honda and the rest of the big boys FINALLY decide to go full in, it's gonna be GAME OVER for any new start-ups and kill the visionary manufacturers like Stark, if they're not running at profitability yet. If Stark can get a lead and own the market place, the owners could even reap a merger or buy out by one of the BIG FIVE ... "KA-CHING". RIP Alta.

You don't need much lube on an internally o-ringed/x-ringed chain fyi. Just use some gear lube for rust prevention after you wash it and put it up.
