That's why it goes to a Grand Jury. They look at all the evidence the prosecuter would present to see if it is enough to warrant a charge. Grand Jury should throw it out. I've been on a Grand Jury, and some of the cases we reviewed were just horrific.
This BS needs to STOP!!!!! STOP CHARGING PEOPLE WHO DEFEND THEMSELVES!!!!! How ridiculous it is that the 3 wanna be gangsters are not being charged yet the victim is!!!!!!!🤬
He hasn't been charged yet. The Grand Jury will throw it out. Trust me. That's what the Grand Jury is for, determining if it warrants the felony charge. The prosecuter should never have brought the case, but he/she probably wanted to avoid political issues. It IS Houston, after all. Lots of lefties in charge.
Where did they say the kids WERE NOT bring charged? It's called an INVESTIGATION for a reason 💩 for 🧠. They even said they don't fully know what all occurred. And who was trying to be gangsters? If immpoor and hungry I'm rob somebody, how do you know that's not what was happening. You are weird and I can tell you are hoping they are little black kids. You're a weirdo ong.
@@user-ln7of9gs4s The question is 'why would you charge him?' not 'why did they charge him?'. It was reported that the kids had at least one gun. Whoever they got that gun from, and the parents, better all get hauled before a grand jury, as well.
There should be no indictment on the adult man for defending himself against young criminals who have guns. Harris County DA should not convict him for shooting at criminals.
No, it’s NOT sad the would be victim was able to protect themselves. Nor is sad what happened to the perpetrators!! I don’t give a damn about their ages, just like they didn’t give a damn! The brats FAFO!! Now they need charged and prosecuted to the fullest extent!!
Actually, it's more complicated than that. The 2nd Amendment guarantees the right to self-defense. What makes it a touch and go is how self-defense is defined in the courts. So, even if a person claims self-defense, the way the incident occurred will dictate if it satisfies the parameters of what the courts would define as self-defense. So ultimately, if someone claimed self-defense and got jail time, it's because the court did not agree that it was self-defense.

Where are the parents? Some of them are thieves too , why are 12 and 13 yr olds trying to rob anyone? You think this is their first time committing crimes? A lot of prisoners start off young and if this was actually self defense , the man shouldn't be charged, I think charges should be brought against the parents and if the dad ain't in the picture, then look for him and charge him too
Lets review the facts. All of these kids committed a felony. When you commit a felony with a weapon and ANYONE involved is injured or dies, that is a homicide charge on YOU. This means that if the kid that is in critical condition dies, all of these kids are on the hook for it. They are the ones who should be spending time in prison, not the guy minding his own business and defending himself. I really, really wish these kids would have chosen a different path, but they put themselves in this position and they should face the consequences.
Kids parents should be prosecuted !!! If the grand jury decides to press a charge on this man that defended himself, THEN THEY ARE WRONG. Then it means that NO BODY has a right to self defense. The boys are the one who committed a crime here, not the man who was getting robbed. Oh btw- my first husband was MURDERED in 2000, in a similar situation which is now a “cold case” So please don’t reply and say I’m too harsh on the kids here. They did a crime they should get what they deserve, which is prison time.
The man saved his own life , 12-13yrs old trying to rob someone using guns .How stupid can you get. The man is lucky to be alive.
Man please- he should not have any charges against him…
That's why it goes to a Grand Jury. They look at all the evidence the prosecuter would present to see if it is enough to warrant a charge. Grand Jury should throw it out. I've been on a Grand Jury, and some of the cases we reviewed were just horrific.
As for the victim he shouldn’t be facing any charges. It’s called self defense.

No way they take this to trial
“Children”, no Criminals.
Considering charging a man for defending himself against three armed assailants? What is wrong with this picture? 🤦♂
Why would you charge him? That’s BS
They aren’t charging him genius. It’s standard to have stuff go to a grand jury. It will most likely be no billed.

Any threat by gunpoint is allowed to be have equal force for protection which in this case, the use of deadly force

Could be stolen. Probably a gang initiation.
Ray'Quan, Pookie, and RayRay were out wildin'. FAFO
"children"- you kinda lose that innocent name when you attempt to rob people while armed....
The parents should be charged.
Next this man will be charged as a terrorist for defending himself from someone threatening him with deadly force that you can’t run away from
The Grand Jury will throw it out. Let them do their thing. The prosecutor is a weakling for this.
It is a human right to be able to defend yourself.
“Young suspects”
A change from "teens."
The parents of these young thugs need to be charged.
Naw, arrest the parents...

Charge they mammies and pappies. 😡😡🤬🤬
They activated the messed around and found out chart.
The DA office will see how much cash they can confiscate before filing charges.
Lmao, the DA OBVIOUSLY didn’t press charges which is why it’s up to a grand jury’s genius.
@BETaveras88 DAs office is the one thats dragging it to a grand jury genius.
@ no GENIUS, all shootings per state law go to a grand jury.
The moment a criminal pulls a gun on someone, that criminal is an adult. This was self defense.
That’s self defense

Its all fun and games until it gets real.
No charges when defending yourself, period!
I wonder what the “content of their character” the suspects had
No he should not due to the situation. He was defending himself.
What’s the issue self defense period!!!
Face charges smh wtf
Self-defense shooting is not always guaranteed no jail time. I know more people who went to jail for Self-defense shooting in Texas.

They are all young, the man who shot at the teenagers is 25 years old. I dont know why they put the new apartments in a bad area, though.
The kids are just doing what they were thought by their parents and their grand parents and their great grand parents...
They don’t show the kids’ names. Perhaps due to difficult spelling? Marquavius? Lucreshimus? Jarquaid?
No charges. 👎🏾
