I'm not a consistent prepoo person but when I do the only one in my stock is that African Pride. That stuff is a miracle worker right there. It makes my hair feel good , smells good, and shortens the time I'm in the shower.
Yall I'm so glad I came back with final thoughts because even after deep conditioning AND rinsing I still have little tiny exfoliating beads in my hair, and on my shoulders.. these are my recommendations if you're looking for some scalp exfoliating products -

I definitely prepoo. It makes wash day easier. I use aloe vera gel to moisturize my scalp so I don’t think I’ll have enough buildup since I wash weekly.

I always pre-poo now. That's my big detangling step: I can't stand hair in my shower and for me, pre-pooing really works for that.
Hey girl! I definitely have to prepoo before my wash day. My hair texture is like yours so by any means necessary I want to make my wash day easy.
Yes I always pre-poo and like using African Pride. Other pre-poos I like using are Nature's Little Secret Fenugreek Detangling Pre-poo, the Mane Choice Heavenly Halo Pre-poo, Soultanicals Kink Sink and Bloom growth oil, and oils such as coconut, or sweet almond oil. Also have used conditioners as pre-poos such as Alikay Naturals Avocado Cream Mask.
I picked up a scalp cleanser at TJ Maxx to try out: Eden Bodyworks Papaya Castor Scalp Cleanser. May pick up the Briogeo cleanser to try out too.🥰

Hi queen! Loved this video! I wonder if you would be open to sharing your hair care routine over a month or 6 weeks as content? Some of us new naturals are trying to figure out when we should do protein vs a moisturizing DC, or how often to do hot oil or olaplex....it gets so confusing! Just an idea :) keep being great!
I DEFINITELY prepoo every single wash day. I use a DIY by SheRea Del Soul, and it's made my hair a whole new woman lol. I shampoo every 10-14 days, and it has changed the game as far as length retention and the overall health of my hair.
I wish I had known about prepooing years ago because I've definitely paid for it. Now, I prepoo every single wash day.

I prepoo when I come out of braids or long term protective styles. Or when I feel like it otherwise i don't know. I remember taking out braids and went straight into wash day, talk about horrible 😒, never again.

The rubber pieces should be detachable from the bottle so you just hold it like a brush that you can fill with product. Trying to rub my scalp with that bottle seems like a struggle

I just commented on your purge video not realizing you reviewed this product!! I dont this the owner/company thought about type 4 at all in the design of the product!! Its funny cuz you made me realize that I'm tender headed cuz I thought the scrub was more on the rough side.
I never used prepoo before but I'm definitely gonna try it. I think it would help with my high porosity hair!!
I started using Carol's Daughter Dream Detangler, the aloe one, it really helps separate my coils without me having to yank it and I use it without water otherwise my coils get tighter
I prepoo but I only wash once a month. This keeps my long hair more manageable. I prepoo with the Mane choice Alpha oil. Then i pour onion juice over it.

I hate the extra time, but my hair loves prepoo. I use coconut oil cuz @nappyfu told me too! Recently I added some essential oils to it too. I leave the oil in the fridge, so I apply it like grease.

I was about to go and get that scalp scrub till you said that the scrubbers wouldn't deslove. Lol
I don't like the brush...I squeeze it into my scalp or into my hands and rub the product into my scalp. I have thin fine hair and it was so hard to use with the brush. The only negative to this scalp product. I love pre poo but only use it about once a month because I like mixing up my routine with a scalp scrub, bond repair lines to clarifying lines with a deep conditioning treatment. I'll rotate also with rice water rinses (hairitage by mindy has one) and glosses. I only use pre poo if I go a long time in between washes or need a little more protection before washing. I usually go every 5-6 days between washes but do not skip the leave in conditioner and serum after every wash!!! It has turned my thinning damaged hair to luxurious voluminous shiny hair with a quickness!
Most of the time Pre-poo, because I've become a lazy natural, coming up on 4yrs😊 and I won't go back 2 the creamy crack!
I finally came to the realization how much shampoo causes my hair to tangle a hot fierce mess. I was getting so frustrated and getting major extra breakage. I now know I have to fully detangle using a prepoo and MUST make sure my hair are in twists prior to shampooing. This is so extra. I just can't anymore. Team cowash just gained a new full-time member. When I cowash, don't have to prepoo, section, put in twists. Just get in the shower and do the needful. So much easier and less frustration. I know I can't dodge shampoo forever. So perhaps shampoo on a 4-6 week schedule will be better for me.

I pre-poo every time I wash my hair but I pre-poo in the shower. The link regarding the Briogeo doesn't work. I stay in the shower for like an hr because I deep condition and shampoo and condition my hair (I share a bathroom so I just want to use it and be done).
