Hi Todd l am 65 years old. I play of 9 handicap . I am always working on my swing trying to keep consistent body movements. After seeing some of Your lessons on Moe Norman golf swings. For today l am changing to Moe Norman .It looks so simple and I be following your You Tube Chanel for the tips Thanks for sharing your moments about Moe.
I have the training club from years back. Before Todd even developed this aid and still used PVC I drilled a hole in the end of my grip and stuck an alignment rod in it. Works great and one less doohickey laying around the garage.
That was excellent Todd. I m the guy who wanted to take you to Qatar years ago. Back on Canada now. Awesome validation in Bryson these days! Huge Congrats to you and Mr. Norman!
I'm been golfing off and on for about 25 years. Playing about 8 to 10 rounds a year on average. Normally shooting in the 90's and would be happy to break 90. I was using the conventional golf swing and I just couldn't find that consistency of hitting the ball I've just gotten back into the game after a 4 or 5 year layoff and watched some off Toods videos and started practicing on my own on the range and was finding some success. I finally decided to try and commit to play a complete round with the new swing. I shot a 91 my first time out. I was really happy with that because I could already tell my striking was more consistent. It was other factors in my game that let me down that day. Then around the 4th round this year. I shot my best round ever of 83. I could have broke 80 but I missed a few par putts but super ecstatic. Im constantly now shooting in the 80s and happier with my game since the swing change. I hope I can find a coach to get lessons that teaches this method to help fine tune
Another great video. I've been working on your system for a month or so now. Got the book and watched a lot of videos. Biggest issues i have to overcome is how the ball looks (and where I'm aimed) with Side tilt. I think it's going to take some time to make that seem natural.
I own one and love it. I used to do the same with the PVC, but this tool has the SP grip plus the black line at the top of the back swing that helps you check whether the clubface is on plane before the downswing. Thanks, Todd.
My single plane trainer arrived recently and it’s been a great help with set up and swing plane, but also with hand and grip position, especially the trail hand sunny side up position. I would recommend anyone to get one, wished I’d got my sooner, it’s a great training aid for muscle memory.
Hi Todd! As I’ve switched to the single plane swing, I’ve noticed by ball flight has been much straighter in terms of shape. However, my miss now tends to be a push (as opposed to the dreaded slice it was before). So I would assume (since I don’t currently have access to a trackman or other shot tracer) that my club face is open at impact. Is this something you commonly see with SPS players? And, if so, what are some ways I can keep that club face a bit more closed at impact?
I have had the single plane trainer sense if was first offered, used it so much I started doing the positions when I was playing instead of swinging the club...I have to remind myself to swing when playing and not try and hit positions...hit ball right of target a lot when doing that.
Well Todd the reason why its pointed to the belly button is that what conventional golf teaches, they say that the triangle formed by the shoulders and arms and the butt is pointed in the middle and never gets outside of it!>>> I know I taught it when I was with Jimmy Ballard as an assistant. The main question for me was
Todd great info as always. Started with Natural Golf 15 years ago and find your method of single plane definitely compresses ball with shallow and descending blow. Only time I used to take a divot was when I hit it fat!! Just wondering if you have a slow mo of wedge at impact to see how much shaft lean? Appreciate all the great info.
No. I don't think you need single length clubs at all. I have never recommended them even though I think they are ok if you have sufficient swing speeds.
I watch all your videos have your book and I continue to struggle hitting the ball consistently. I live in Michigan no way I can come to you for lessons. What can I do to become consistent? Thank you.
I have an online academy where you send videos and Single Plane coaches analyze your swing and instruct you personally. Email me at toddg@gravesgolf.com if interested.

Thumbs up! Great quick lesson. Once I learned how to create that rod alignment, ball striking improved immensely.

Great to hear.
Todd, one of your best videos and I think I've seen them all, in my opinion the back swing is toughest thing in single plane, thanks!
Thanks.

So much content T bone!! 💪 ty so much! Great webinar Wednesday night, ty.
Thanks.
A great reminder about shaft angle. One of the little pieces that seems to get sloppy in the off season
Thanks.

Ballard talked us into the bungee chords type trainer....that does not work very well with the single plane Moe Norman swing....
great explanation, well thought out, just ordered the ABT. On my way, thanks for all the help, keep it up.
Thanks.
fantastic Todd,a perfect tip to practice
Thanks 👍

Do you need one length clubs to play single plane golf? And what is a club fitting like? Different than the regular club fitters? Thanks
No. I don't think you need single length clubs at all. I have never recommended them even though I think they are ok if you have sufficient swing speeds.

Xcellent tip
When you have the club aligned with the lead shoulder and outside of the lead hip at address, will the club face appear slightly open?
It's square to a slight bit open.
WOW, i think my club is pointing near the middle of my belly.. My last 3 irons were hit strong but pulled left.
That will do it.
