Absolutely LOVE the bowl and the stool is fabulous! Dirt? Flour? GENIUS!!!!!
Wow! I loved this video! I'm from L.A. but have been an expat for almost 20 years. Miss some things over there.... like Olive Ateliers!
Dont' give up Emily. You represent the real people out there. The ones who make beauty out of the mundane.
I loved this video, please do more dupes, because I cannot afford these expensive stores as a teacher! 😂
Your stool, who would have thought, dirt could look so good. 🥰🇬🇧🐾🐾💖🖌️
We as Californians may have pop up shops. But everyone else has the better goodwill and antique stores. Not to mention way way better prices. 😂😜😚🤗
Fr, there is nothing good here in Cali unless it’s an importer.
Being a Cali girl born and raised for 40 years then moving to N Alabama I can say I do love all the little antique stores here better and of course our cheaper prices 😀
And here I thought I was doing my research wrong, coz I couldn't find good affordable antique 😔 Now I don't feel alone 😅
You are wrong...depending on where you live...
You should see the prices in Denmark😳😭😂
Mud stain! That just changed my life. 😂 The stool looks GREAT!
I quite like both projects!!! If I may offer one tip, when you’re putting paper-mache on the outside of a bowl, draw a line around the bowl on parchment paper or whatever type of paper or plastic you’re using, make the line about 1” around the perimeter of the bowl and use that as your guide for the thickness of your sides. Using the paper it may not be necessary to make it an inch, but, follow that same thickness all over the bowl. Using a level, put it on the bottom of your dish and use it to level the bottom of the bowl before adding your ring. All in all, I think you did a pretty good job and like the colours when you were finished. Thanks for sharing.
I love the idea of this becoming a series! DIY dupes for the win!
Stool is neat ....but really LOVE the bowl!!!
WOW! That was just amazing!! I loved this! You are not only the Queen of mud but now of paper mache and Flour!! You must be so happy with the results. Show us where you put them and how you styled them!
You obviously nailed it about the Olive Atelier patina, suddenly your objects became “vintage”. Fantastic video!
I feel like this is why we watch UA-cam. All of the store hauls are…well, anyone can go to a store and shop, but for those of us who like to DIY for fun and need more budget friendly options, having tutorials are so helpful! Inspiring and helpful.
These items turned out so well! I would have never thought of doing “the dirt trick” on wood, but I love the results!
I have never seen any project with wood painted with dirt! It turned out perfect. Nest time, try waiting til the object gets dry to rub it with dirt...maybe try dry dirt! Yours is still pretty.
As a Cali girl, not only do I love this shop. DIY is so much better!! Thanks for all the tips. I love how they both turned out :)
I also watch Lone Fox. Love these dupes and your process! You could dupe and sell these at craft shows etc… make lots of money and make some people REALLY HAPPY! This deserves a follow up or series! Or I’m just finding you as I searched for this particular store’s dupes and found yours! Hands DOWN WIN!
I’m subscribed to Drew & Macenna also. I love that Emily’s solution is “just smear some dirt and mud on it”. Dirt totally works ! Excellent dupes, very creative. Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait for the next one. ❤
I’m definitely trying the dirt. Color is flawless the first time when others are using 5 different types of paint to achieve the same color. Love it!
The stool turned out so cute!
Your paper mache bowl looks fabulous!!! GREAT job…can’t wait to try it myself 💚. Thanks for your inspiration!
Both were great but the stool is my favorite! I can see 3 of these at varying heights grouped with plants.
I love stone vases and stone sinks in particular. Benches, art etc. too though. 😊😊
Excellent job! Love it!! I love the stool!!
I have used the dirt layered with white chalk paint on a thrift store vase, turned out awesome! God given dirt is the ticket!
Great job with the dupes! Your stool turned out amazing. Can’t believe the dirt made it look that great! Way to go👍
That stool is adorbs! Mother nature gave you the best finish ever.
That stool is fabulous!!
Have just found your channel, love what you do , I live in New Zealand and everything is so expensive. Watching u has been great thanks a million.❤

You are incredibly talented and such an inspiration!! And it's so great to see you and your husband (and the boys) working together on these projects!! Keep the diys coming!! ❤ 😊
Your stool is fantastic! How exciting the mud came out so perfect!
Love how the stool turned out, definitely going to try this! Love your diy projects!
They turned out great! I love that look too. I've been having fun trying several "aged" vessels/vases diys.
I love how your little stool turned out!!!!
EMILY! I am so impressed! These both look so good!!!! Requesting Amber interiors haha my current fav! 😍
Who needs wood stain when you have dirt!! Love this!
I'm so glad I found your channel. It's such a good and happy feeling place to visit. I really liked your dupes.
Those look fantastic. And what a great way to involve the kids.
Love all your dupes! Mud just got expensive!!😁
This has been the best video so far for making dupes…you are hysterical and engaging 😂 nice work btw!
That stool is spot on!! Maybe seal the bowl and then you can paint it the way you wanted it to look? Either way, what a fun idea and I bet your boys just love helping their mom!! Future DIYers and handymen! Thank you for sharing!
Hi Emily 😊. I love that stool 😍 and I’ll definitely be trying it. I just bought the olive tree branches and I’m working on that tree you made right now. Your husband is a gem Not only is he handy , he’s very handsome too. My hubby is handy and handsome too and I feel so lucky. Have a great weekend.
Bless your soul

That stool looks amazing
I love that the kids were able to help out and I am so excited to see more videos like this
Really been enjoying your videos. The stool and bowl came out so good!! You are very creative and good at what you do. Thanks for sharing!! Blessings Raindown!!
Everything is so beautiful especially the bowl ❤
The stool looks great!!
You are fearless to try something new and show it. Of course it turned out fantastic. I love the stool. And love mud so it's a win win. the bowl looks ancient so -- Very Good
I love how the dirt stain turned out for the wood!!! It’s the exact color I love but when I look for Inspo pictures can rarely find! For the bowl I wonder how it would have turned out if you used tea instead of plain water? And if you wanted a smoother finish you could sand it!
I LOVE these projects! They turned out beautifully!
You rocked it. Both dupes were beautiful.
They both turned out great. Good dupes. Loved them both
Love Olive Atelier! Your dupes turned out so good! 😍
I loved this video Emily, I loved this style too. The stools, I am obsessed
Everything came out so beautiful. You have inspired me to make one of those bowls. Loved the video. Thanks.
The color is so pretty! Wow would have never thought dirt would make furniture look good.
They look amazing!! 😍
This is great! I’ve been wanting to DIY a stool and paper mache bowl too!!
I love the store when lone fox goes to it. Wow!!! You did great. They both look amazing. Great job
I could totally buy the paper mache bowl off off you at olive atelier prices ❤ It looks sooo stunning !!
You are a joy to watch and I love your phrase 'here's to learning new things together'.
I Loved this Video! More please!
Wow, they both turned out amazing, Emily! 😮👌🏼
Fantastic job on all.
I always love when you make these types of videos! Super easy to follow and always relevant projects!
Haha! This is one of the most FUN dupe DIY videos I've ever seen! Who knew?? MUD! Love it! Subbed!!!
👌🏽You did a fantastic job on that stool and bowl. I made a entry way table and blanket ladder inspired by them 😂 I ended up making two tables. The first one was a fail as far as I was concerned, and I made a second one which I will do a little bit more to it, I like that idea how you use the mud so I might add that to it as well. I show it here on my UA-cam channel. I did end up ordering a bowl from them and one day I want to get in the car and drive there which 97 miles away. I signed up for what they call the drop and when they notified me that’s when I made my purchase and they ship quick.
I love this. The dirt is genius! 💖
😮....amazing!! I love how this turned out. Well done. I will be trying this myself after watching you do this. 😊
Isn't Olive Atelier to die for? Your dupes were great, especially the stool. I made a little garden bench out of some really beat up bits of wood (with the "mud technique") and I love it.
They both came out so good!!! I think I’m going to be doing these myself!
I’m so impressed! Please continue making videos like this 😘
😂 why do I need an old stool? Yes I m the same way. I love it and then ask myself...what am I doing. ? But you like what you like. Just today I did some projects hopefully next weekend I'm doing some cement projects .
Love Olive Atelier, too! I could 100% hang out there. Sounds like a Road Trip to me!
Your dupes were spot on. Great job!
Both items are outstanding!!!!
Absolutely love your creativity, I ran across your channel when I wanted to recreate a faux tree and I loved your channel ever since. I am exited to try some of your ideas when the weather drops below 90° because I like to work in my garage but I also like to be able to breathe 😄
I'm loving your channel, keep it up, it awesome ❤️
