So the programming of voice commands to the buttons is a nice approach, but if it’s used to turn on a light using one button, the other button must be used to turn it off?
How do I setup the find my remote feature I have the first echo dot but it won’t work and I just bought an echo and it doesn’t even give me that option
Thanks for the interesting video. In my case the previous voice command does not appears on the list at all, 3:00 whenever I try to assign the button. Does anyone have similar problem?
if it hasn't been said already, just hold button 1 or 2 for a few seconds and it will jump to the setup of that button. For me: The voice command works for me to switch hdmi, but once its programmed to the button, "sorry something went wrong".
I have same issue.. whatevert I try, I get "somethign went wrong" whenever I push the button, though using voice button and sying "HDMI 3" and it changes to that input fine. The number 1 reason I upgraded to this remote and it doesn't work... hmmm. Been trying different settings in TV control but nothing seems to make any difference.
My Alexa mutes itself and the TV after I switch HDMI Port via buttons away from my FireTV. If I switch back to it she unmutes herself. Quite confused with this behaviour tbh. When using voice command everything works fine.
cant get the hdmi switching to work. Alexa responds to the command to switch, I can set the button but when I try the button Alexa says ‘“I’m not quite sure what went wrong”… any ideas?
I can get using a voice command to switch inputs etc, but when I try to assign that same command to programmable button i get the "I am not quite sure what went wrong" when I press the button. Some switch input commands work, most don't
Thanks for showing how to setup the shortcut buttons to switch to different HDMI inputs!
No worries!

Unless it can be used to toggle
So first need to say a command and once it's said it stays and can be assigned to 1 or 2 button, Rock n roll 🤜🤛 thank you

It doesn't seem to list any side loaded apps as options to program to the buttons. Am I doing something wrong?
Unless you can use Alexa to access those, then it cannot be done at least as of now.
THIS reason alone i did not purchase this crap
Nothing happens when I push 1 or the Bluetooth
My Cube 3rd gen isn't recognizing the pro remote. Just displays as another Amazon Fire TV Remote 2.
What is you have more than one? How do you rename it
Idk, I only have one. See if the fire tv settings where you add it provides you with a rename option
Thanks. I was wondering about the input switching.
No problem

Try shortening the voice command to just “HDMI 1” see if that works
@@landpet same result. I notice the text puts periods between HDMI..as I'm H.D.M.I. I'm guessing that's causing issues. Thanks anyway

I order two of them for my smart fire tv os tvs one for living room one for my bedroom can't wait for them
Nice!
Can I get the customizable button to open a TV's native settings menu? (To adjust picture mode settings, etc)
Anything you can do via Alexa command, then you can do that with the remote. I don't know if that is possible, not something I've tried.
Not any Alexa command or routine will shown up on the FireTV. Only the ones supported by buttons.

Samsung TV HDMI switching didn't work with a Fire Stick 4K. Alexa - "i'm not quite sure what went wrong". What you shown looks the same.

Try changing the command to say "Alexa HDMI 1", then assign the button to that.
@@landpet still does not work

@@billdiaz2933 Same here... LG TV if that's anyything to consider. Main reason I upgraded to this remote. 😞
I tried this to set TiviMate to one of the buttoms but Alexa can't do it.
Thanks for the heads up
Not worth the price, bad battery drain, only two features are program buttons & find remote.
I lost my remote. So I used the pro.
lol, I've been there.
