What I like about this video as opposed to other African influencers visiting the motherland us that this one captures the local authentic experience as opposed to the more refined and western high end experience which you can probably get anywhere and is not as authentic. Love it!
All west African countries have a common resemblance, it doesn't matter where you pick, but the vibes might be a little different in each country, for me Ghana is about the people their love for humanity is on a different level.
This brings back so many memories. Also, if you ever decide to travel to Ghana, never give someone anything with your left hand always use your right hand.🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭

I moved for uni to UK at 19 in 2018 & it was downright scary! I had actually taken a gap year after high school due to medical issues and I really felt like a failure at the time, lol! Quite frankly, that year did so much for me, ngl! I wish I saw this video during my initial hard times here in the UK One thing i'm really grateful for is the hustle culture I got from moving here! For the roasted plantain, the western part of Nigeria (yoruba ppl) call it "Boli" and it's eaten with groundnuts just the way you had it in the video. But in port-hacourt like you mentioned, it is eaten with sauce and fish and called "bole"

Before COVID we had alot of cocnut vendors in Trinidad too we still have but not as many. You can buy a bottle of fresh cocnut water from them or you can buy a cocnut. They cut it simialr to the man here but they cut the opposite side sometiimes we drink the water straight from the nut or with a straw like Adanna did. Then when it's done they cut the cocnut a half and cut a "spoon" for you to scrape out the jelly aand eat it. they we trough the shells away. It's a lot of fun actually

The way you describe coconut eating in Trinidad is the same way we drink and eat coconut flesh on ghana... With the spoon made from the husk. Yummy!
