thank you so much for this amazing tutorial 🙏🏼 though there was one discrepancy i spotted. it’s at the part where the lyrics are “they push and shove and won’t bend to your will” the second time elliott plays the walking bass section on the a and d string, on the d string, he doesn’t just play open to the second fret then to the F bass like the first time, instead he plays open to the second then immediately after hammer’s onto the third fret of the d string with his pinkie, then he plays the F bass. It’s pretty quiet but you can hear it for a brief period in the song and it makes the transition to F a lot more seamless.
Beautiful tune and yes another MT discovery 💡 🤩 (so much for knowing it all haha) The chords sound both familiar and novel at the same time. Lesson was helpful and necessary; and the chord/melody tab on Patreon is HUGE for me and my development as a musician.

Man, ive tried D standard when playing Elliots stuff but the strings feel like spaghetti to me! Eb is the lowest I can go... another fine lesson. Im a year late, but if you read this any plans for Cupids Trick or Christian brothers?
