I would love to try the maple bacon otherwise I’m boring with just buttered or caramel popcorn. 😊 Thanks for sharing a great review with us. Hoping your day is a beautiful October day. 🍁🎃🍂
I wonder what small producers of snacks think when they have worked so hard on their craft and struggle and The D’Amelio family end up on Walmart shelves because of their daughter’s talent for dancing and being internet famous. Not to take anything away from them or the Jonas Bros….but I don’t think popcorn was a passion project for either of them 😂.
The only reason we buy so many things is because of this channel. Otherwise, I personally don't care what "celebrity" (cough, cough) picture is on the package. It's very naive if they think these people had much to do with the food at all. Let's face it, it's a paycheck for them. I know you know this, Bryn, but so many people act amazed when whey can get a box of cake mix with Dolly's picture on it or a frozen fish meal with Chef Ramsay's picture.
I got the Nice Spice today based on this review (I looked up reviews for this line, yours was the first video that came up!); and I have to say, its really good and the name did it no favors! I also really like your review style, I'll have to check out some of your other videos before I go back to Walmart to know what's good to try
The Maple Bacon is my top choice followed by the Nice Spice. However, I don’t mind some hulls, but I don’t know if I can get past how much are in these. I will have to think on these. Thanks for the review.
I will give the realest review, for anyone thinking about trying Maple Bacon. Have you ever made a fire in your home fireplace, and then tried to re-ignite it on its last leg, only to have a piece of singed wood fall into the ashes - and then tasted it, because it kicked up in your face mid-blow? It's sort of like that; but it's more like you were making popcorn over that fire, a piece fell out of the pot, and you decided to pick it from the ashes and eat it. Not only that, but the stray popcorn caught fire. And you ate the whole thing. Flames and all. Literally, this popcorn burns on impact. I'm willing to bet this family who produced the recipe can't even identify what it is or where it came from. It certainly shouldn't be associated with maple anything, including bacon, whether it is natural or artificial. The aftertaste is as if you got residual from the fireplace on your hand and just licked it right off instead of using a wet cloth. I mean, go ahead and try it if you don't believe me. But you have been warned.
Good, strong, sensible review/opinions. Definitely appreciate all the heads up on the extra hulls. I think you’re on to something with the way companies are kind of skimping on flavor lately to keep people chasing it and eating more, especially if there’s the implication of it being a kind of pseudo-health food. As somebody with perpetually kind-of dead eyes, this man puts me to shame. It somehow seems like it ADDS to his opinion. Like the entire review is a bit of a formality or a chore to him, because he’s seen it all before. I think that, with the last name of the snacc family, the D’ isn’t actively pronounced. So, not so much “Dee-uh-me-lee-oh” as “Duh-me-lee-oh”. For what that’s worth. I’m no expert, though. Bit of a strange taste with the maple bacon. Not so much the better hints of bacon flavor most people tend to associate with bacon. VERY “meaty”, yet still a bit nonspecific. Tiniest bit of spice to it, too, which was a little weird. You feel like you just ate something that was very obviously meat of some kind (in terms of taste, while at odds with the texture of popcorn), but without much of that special bacon-y saltiness. I don’t think I’ll buy it again.
Tried the Maple Bacon and liked it!! Hulls really don't bother me. Saw the Nice Spice one but passed on it. However, after seeing the review, wanting to try it now.
Without some type of description “nice spice” is a confusing name… I would never have gotten it as I would think it was either a pumpkin spice type of flavor or something with a chili type of heat to it (I don’t like either) but I really like Italian pizza seasonings… thanks for review!!!
First, i appreciate you making this video because i was upset when i opened this garlic parmesean trash..soft stale popcorn, after a handful my throat started to burn, was about to give it to the birds but i didn't want to kill them, im betting this company disappear s soon!
Worse favored popcorn I've ever tried. The Maple Bacon tasted neither like maple or any bacon I've ever tried and the popcorn itself was sort of stale, no crunch, it just smooched down and got stuck on my teeth. Stay Away!
That popcorn is awful. Every flavor tastes stale ; and is chewy like its stale. And there are sooooo many huge carnal shells. The flavors are just ok on the savory ones. The cotton candy one tastes like spoiled green apple applesauce.
I know exactly what you mean about that flavor you can hardly taste and you keep e yo find the flavor! Reminds me of Buddha popcorn it’s annoying because cotton candy should be more of a kettle corn and I hate soft popcorn I’m very picky with texture of popcorn I like boom chica pop sweet and salty
Tillamook is a farmer owned co-op that produces dairy products. Their biggest product is cheese. That would be why Tillamook would be getting into selling pizza. It makes sense for companies to expand and diversify as much as possible.
The maple bacon sounds good followed by the parmesan garlic one. Thanks for the review.
You bet😋

You’re right, Tami. I would overlook a flavor called Nice Spice, but I’d totally try a pizza flavored popcorn if I knew that’s what it was!
It’s worth trying!

They aren't worth it ;)
It's just BAD!🤮
Hulls really bother me and that's why I don't really eat popcorn anymore. I get puffcorn now. These would be a hard pass due to the hulls.
Curius on the consensus on the lack of crunch. The bag even states crunchy, and I've found maybe a couple crunches out of an entire bag.
idk if bad bag, but few people that tried the maple bacon with me, all gave the aftertaste of cigarette ash..............
Oh wow!

Sounds good

@@TamiDunn Thank you VERY much, I will let you know!!😃
Im eating the Nice Spice one right now and its terrible its like its stale and flavor is okay and mediocre.
We wouldn't buy these again. There are too many good popcorns to choose from.

I’m glad this helped!

We haven’t repurchased 😉
maple bacon or thr popping candy for me 🍿
They're just more "celebrities" that don't matter lol. The nice spice one sounds ok, but I'd rather have kettle/caramel corn.
I think we are very likeminded when it comes to celebrities. 😉

Why is an ice cream company getting into pizza? Tillamook Cheesy BBQ Chicken Recipe Pizza. Keep a look out next time you go grocery shopping.
Kevin reviewed their macaroni and cheese meal. They make lots of cheese 😉
