This is dope man, gained a new fan. Hits hard, i lost my niece last year to brain cancer. She was like my unofficial little sister. She was diagnosed a week before her 13th birthday. The same exact day, unknowingly i dropped out of college and ROTC, ready to enlist and disappear before summer was over. Everything happens for a reason, God appointed me perfectly to be her guardian angel, there was trouble at home, long story. But i had to take care of her by myself for about 2 weeks. The brain cancer was a grade IV tumor on her brain stem. So she needed help with everything from brushing her teeth, eating, showering, was in a wheelchair. And she had radiation appointments 5 days a week. We had the best time ever, I took her to college baseball games, around my university, went to museums, and had tickets to go to Kennedy space center Unfortunately we never got to go to Kennedy, the cancer progressed very fast, and ended up winning just 4 short months after she was diagnosed. She never lost hope, and was the strongest person I have ever witnessed. A beautiful soul. And she saved my life. I fought hard to get back into university, and I got readmitted. Im in my upper levels of my Aerospace Engineering degree, which is proving to be extremely difficult. I have still been getting A’s and high B’s in my classes, and i am shooting for that Deans List. Kayleigh always talked about how she wanted to go to Harvard, and i made her understand the discipline and sacrifices it would take. But she never got the opportunity. She would have started her first year in high-school this year. I say all of this for a simple reason. God is real. And life is so valuable. Please do not waste it. You may never know your true purpose and reasons for living, and maybe we’re not always meant to know the answers. But never give up, never give in, do not waste this precious opportunity you are given. Find that inner voice, the faint whispers of god, and strive to be your best every damned day you have left here on this earth. All my homies hate the Devil.
