i always enjoy that at least one team will do something very stupid
and that doesn't include the prospects that just never reach their potential, which is usually less than 50%. Makes for some great tv for us NFL fans.
Mel always gets animated when it comes to draft week and his opinions. Up until that he’s a lot more laxed and laid back but come draft week the “Todd! Todd! Todd !” comes out 😂
All these draft gurus are like broken records. Apparently you just need two positions (QB & WR) to win in the NFL. Apparently the other 50 guys are just a waste of space. The Chargers and Titans are taking OL....whether they trade back or not. Sure you can't go far without a good QB...but a QB can't go anywhere with a crappy OL! Harbaugh knows you build in the trenches in the NFL...it's a size and strength league. Having a good OL makes Herbert's life much easier than another WR he does not have TIME to throw to...they'll find a receiver later. Same with the Titans, their OL is horrendous. Apparently every young QB needs something, except Levis?! He needs major OL talent...and contrary to Yates glossing of Callahan....coaching can only do so much. As they say, you can't win the Kentucky Derby on a donkey...you need a thoroughbred.

I've never watched so much offseason football til this year. Poles should get a bonus for keeping Bears fans interest higher than ever during the offseason.

This whole offseason im suprised that no made the mention of like " daniels was carried by his wide receivers" like i feel like theres one qb each yr that conversation pops up
The teams with the best SuperBowl shot have good depth so injuries to starters don't hurt them as badly.

If I'm the Pats I'm forcing myself to fall in love with 1 of the 2 QBs between Daniels and Maye. I can live with an Uber talented QB ending up being a bust, or a mediocre starter but I can't live with passing on 1 of them just for Drake Maye to end up being Josh Allen with Daboll in New York. The roster also is better than people give it credit for. There's really only 3 needs left, 2 of them glaring and all are on the offensive side of the ball and that's QB/WR/LT. Get the QB at 3, there will be a promising WR at 34 or they can trade up slightly to like 29-30 incase they think SF or KC is going WR. Use the rest of the draft to draft OTs and WRs and hope you hit on 1 of them, if not Maye can sit a year, get coached up, then the Pats can spend on a big time Tackle in FA or draft 1 in the 1st round next year.
The defense is stacked. We got 2 Edge guys that had 10+ sacks last year, a monster DT who had 9.5 sacks and is just as good vs the run, a young elite Corner and good CB2/CB3s, bunch of LB/S hybrids who can play both run/pass. Just need the QB and a true WR1 and this team is rolling
This what I’ve been saying the pats team is really good had a really tough schedule last year and we could’ve won almost all of them thanks to the defense Bourne is a great receiver I like pop Douglas and now it’s just building up but we did a great job keeping the key guys

Everyone's reasoning for the Jets being a 10+ win team and being in the playoffs is, "Well they won 7 games with the worst QB'ing in football" Pats won 5 with the 2nd worst QB play, and could have easily been 7 if 2 plays go different. Won 8 the year before with bottom 5 QB play and could have won 9 and made the playoffs if Jakobi doesn't throw the Raiders game away. Agreed on Pop and Bourne(assuming Bourne doesn't take a step back cuz of his injury) Pop could be a nice #2 with a good QB, Bourne has already been putting up high end WR3 numbers with awful QBs, all Hunter Henry does is catch 50+ passes and score TDs in the red zone. I like Gibson playing the James White role to take pressure off of Rhamondre. This is an 8-9 win team with average QB play and a sneaky playoff team if they have the 12th or 13th best QB in football which is possible with Daniels, and even Maye although Maye will probably take more time to pop considering the lack of experience. Either way the draft is a win if they take 1 of those QBs and a WR like AD Mitchell, Leggette, Ladd, Franklin, or the guy I'm hoping for Roman Wilson

I’m always amazed but not surprised that so much of the draft analysis focuses on the player’s numbers and not more on them as individuals. To me perennial draft winners of the past like the Steelers and the Giants and now KC many of their players are just stand out personalities. And just looking at the great ones player wise not all the time but so often these guys are just really interesting individuals to listen too. Character, charisma, integrity. That’s why a guy like Rome Odunze to me he just screams NFL success story. Perennial star who you can win in the playoffs with. Unfortunately he’ll be gone by Bears pick at 9. If so I’m going Joe Alt another very impressive individual or I’m trading down for an OL and an extra pick.
Wish the Patriots would stay at 3 and draft MHJ

Westover is going to be a great player. He has such an amazing catch radius and soft hands and can block.

Sweat is being so underrated its crazy. I get that people like elite athletes but this isn't a fridge sitting at the nose. He can move for his size, has some moves, and likes to penatrate. Murphy was misused but still, Sweat caused more disruption than him. Late 2nd or 3rd is fine value wise but if he has the right attitude he is going to be more impactful than people give him credit for.
Rome Odunze just looks like he was meant to play for the Bills. Won’t happen but it would be cool if it did.

Fields is so obsessed with being right. Multiple times a show he makes off-handed comments about wanting to be right. He even admitted he changed his big board to be right. That's just not it my guy. I know you are young in this, but this isn't a scouting department. You are evaluating a class, not making a pick or trying to win a bet. Just evaluate the players and report your opinion.
The draft is a great study of the psychology of consensus.
I think the patriots should trade back or take MHJ. None of these quarterbacks can do it in New England with the line and offensive weapons in place.

I have Michael Penix higher rated than JJ and Drake. He's my 3rd rated qb. If I'm the raiders in drafting him at 13, period!
If it's a lock besides Caleb it's y'all getting Penix, he could be everything y'all want in Daniels but without having to trade the future
If he didn't have the injury history he'd probably be QB3 in this draft and fighting Daniels for QB2. 6'4 with 4.55 speed and the best touch and deep ball in the draft gotta count for something. It's crazy he wasnt even invited to the draft

I think Jaden and Drake will both end up being better than Caleb in a 10 year period. I think Drake will probably end up being the best because he has a big strong frame. Caleb is barely 6’1”. Great for college, but nobody has a clue if that’s going to be great for the NFL. He’s standing behind 10 monsters every play.
Did you even watch Maye last year? I wouldn’t touch him.

Call me crazy but I don’t even think Caleb should be a lock at 1. He definitely is not comparable to Mahomes so people can stop with that one lol 😂 but his character is suspect at the least, and he really isn’t that impressive. No clue what all the hype is about and I’ve seen a lot of his games and some film. I don’t see it.

I know the Vikings gotta look to the future, but Darnold had at least a pro bowl caliber season 1 year with the Jets and some ok spurts with the Panthers. He's never played on a team with that good of an oline, that good of a TE, and a pair of WRs like Jefferson/Addison not to mention an awesome coach. I'd give him a year and just grab an Edge at 11 and a corner at 23, or Byron Murphy if he's there and build a monster Dline to get after Love, Goff, and Caleb. Maybe y'all can get Dak or something in FA next year lol. Both FRPs this year and a FRP next year for JJ McCarthy is way too rich for me
