    Great work! Thanks for taking the time. One observation Eley Club @4:23, the "total propellant weight" difference the columns seems to be 0.1 and not 0.01 as you have in the rightmost column.

      Hello Kevin. Thanks. These type of clips require lots of time to put together. I am glad you like this. In addition, I am grateful you spotted the discrepancy on Eley club. Correcting the clip is not optimal now so I have pined a comment with the correction. Thanks for being an active member in the chat, regards for now.

      Thanks. Eley ammo is on the high side when it comes to price but quality is no compromise for this brand. At the moment, it is getting harder finding .22LR from Eley. out for now

    This is one brand of ammo I have never tried because I buy all my 22's in a brick or bulk box and I've never seen Eley available in bulk

    • @ReloadingMoreAD1966
      @ReloadingMoreAD1966  2 роки тому +1

      I have seen online bulk boxes of 500 & 300 for Eley Standard & Eley action but never seen any at the shop here. Eley tend to be more expensive ranging from $6 to $25 / 50pc and not many shooters opt for such expensive 22LR, unless one needs for competition or for added accuracy.
      One thing is for sure, at least based on all the tests I did for ELEY brand, that the more you pay, the better the round is on a design and production level. Same goes for accuracy and consistency at the range. Regards for now and have a great day

    I've always heard that the different types were from QA sorting tolerances at factory but I see there's some differences in powder, maybe related to year or lot#, as I understand it the lot # corresponds to which machine made it, but I don't know for sure except for accuracy it's best to get all your batch of ammo with identical lot #

    • @ReloadingMoreAD1966
      @ReloadingMoreAD1966  2 роки тому +1

      Hi John. The variations are more visible on the cheapest type of the lot, Club being the cheapest to Tenex the most expensive. The head and powder seem more consistent the more expensive the round is, as indicated for instance on the Projectile weight chart at the end.
      About best getting same batches for accuracy that seems to be the correct approach. I have been on few discussions on rimfirecentral.com forum and that is the general take on the subject.
      Thanks John for your comment. Regards for now and have a great day.

      @@ReloadingMoreAD1966 Thank you for providing such detail, I've heard of a theory of somehow matching the 22lr bullet diameter to appropriate barrel diameters, evidently there is enough tolerances in specs that it's advantageous to select a bullet just barely larger than bore for best seal/accuracy, maybe your measurements will facilitate that search if true!

      @@johnh4957 your comment just provides food for thought. So some more data as follows: .. ....
      a) I looked at my records and found that so far I have dismantled a total of 59 rounds in .22LR caliber.
      b) From these, the projectile diameter varies from 0.2190" on the CBC HV to 0.2250" on the S&B Subsonic
      c) The average of 59 rounds is 0.2217"
      d) In accordance to SAAMI, the .22LR bullet diameter is marked as '.2255 -.0040' so maximum allowed diameter is 0.2255"

      Thanks for stopping by the channel Humors. Look, after using this Frankford scale and the Limit caliper for so long, I can say with some confidence that they are accurate enough. The caliper is made in Sweden by leading manufacturer Limit "www.limit-tools.com". Limit are a well established leading brand in Scandinavia. This one has and is still doing accurate measurement. The scale is specifically for reloading and done by a reloading equipment firm. Obviously they have +/- deviation but they are minimal and always within the acceptable deign limits. Did a test on the scale way back. See if it is interesting. ua-cam.com/video/tLnedd2osVA/v-deo.html
