Major Gas Leak in Coral Springs + Responses

January 27th , 2021 @ 1:21 PM , Coral Springs ~ Parkland Fire Rescue and Coral Springs Police responded to a reported gas leak at the approximate 6100 block of Wiles Road. Units went on scene to a strong natural gas odor, and a large bump in the middle of the road caused from the gas leaking from the underground line and bubbling. Broward County Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue Hazmat Team and Technical Rescue Team (Battalion Chief 17, Operations Division Chief 201, Special Operations Command 1, Engine 23, Platform 32, Rescue 32, Squad 32, Hazmat 17, and TRT32) as well as Sunrise Fire Rescue Hazmat Team (Quint 92, Rescue 92, Hazmat 92) responded to the scene. All hazards mitigated, leak secured, and no injuries occurred.
