I’m a little bit confused, last month the govt told that PR is one of the key component in the economy’s recovery. But last July 25 they said that they will prioritize temporary skilled along with student and tourist. And yes I’ve seen many grants for temporary skilled and students/tourist lately. How about the PR visas.

Are they issuing grants to offshore 491 visa applicants as we don’t see any change whatsoever even after so much communication around more resources being employed to clear backlog and fast processing etc. Its just the same where it was. What are they processing, onshore? What visas are they processing?

Hi Karl, thanks for this. Do 491 VISA holders have the benefit of free schooling for their children in WA? I know Medicare is a benefit but there is no provision for childcare and the requirement on schooling is not very clear.

Thanks for the video, but I heard news from other youtube immigration channel, that the employer can be anywhere,ie outside Australia or even in cities like Sydney and you can work for them from your regional area as the work from home model has grown after covid. is that true ? Thanks !

We got sponsor for 491 visa SA under my wifes name. She found no job opportunity in SA but got a job in regional Queensland so we will be arriving in Queensland November and she starts working in January. Would we not be able to receive our PR then in 3 years.

Hi Karl, What if we cancel our 491 visa and stay on covid visa and apply 189/190 visa? The 491 was granted on dec 2020 and still 2 years to apply PR. We have 85 points to apply 190/189.
