Fire extinguisher technology has indeed changed over the years. Back when I graduated high school I went to work for a company that sold and maintained fire protection equipment. Back in those days we were still refilling some off the old fashioned soda-acid type extinguishers. Many of them were made from brass or copper. Nowadays they are considered collectors items and people sell them on Ebay for $100 - $200 and up. Cleaned and polished they are beautiful. But only as decorations as due to their age the vessel may no longer be able to hold pressure and could explode if used as they were once intended.
That last scene, with the "firefighter" using an extinguisher is about the worst you could have picked to promote the product. WAY too close to the burning material, risking splashing. sad.
Wait, what? The manufacturing process starts with pre-made cylinders? Geez, Amerex. Rotating cylinder machine is badass, though. Would love to see a diagram of how that works, but I'm sure it's a proprietary secret. Edit: Ahahaha, how many lb-ft do you torque the valves to? Oh, just a hammer tap's worth!
QUALITY is behind the diamond!
I new you would see this 😂

Kindly someone please tell me where is the manufacturing year on co2 and dcp extinguisher for this company
Should be a number on the back of the label
Also stamped in the metal on the bottom of the cylinder for dp, co2 will have the stamping at the top
Like The guards at Buckingham Palace
Cool! We have all types firefighting machine for fire extinguisher production.
I got the same brand in my apartment a small one
I have 3 extinguishers in my home. 2 of them are from That brand
@Jack’s fun stuff I can see 😂
how thick is the steel on a large water fire extinguisher
Thin, 1/8in
Freaking labor intensive.
Are they all ok to use as a crucible??
Portsipa TV the copper seal would probably melt causing all of your molten metal to leak out.
why are fire extengusher are round?
Because they are pressured tank and it must be round in terms of stress concentration
If they were made a different shape it would be a lot easier to bust

God I hate dry chemical fire extinguishers, water, foam, CO2 and wet chemical are much cleaner alternatives
Can't beat good ole Halon!
Amerex, you know your gauges fail in 10 years, right ?
You need to replace it every 10 years anyways
@@alecringberg8245 since when do you have to replace guages every 10 years?
@@P25AES The extinguishers need to be replaced after 12 years but if it has passed inspection and the inspector saids to keep it, your fine.
