That up B is sick. It has so much more sauce and combo potential than Byleth's, and it's so chadly that you're not supposed to use it to recover, Flip Kick is the recovery move

It had some neat tech, but its mechanics at a core level were really bad actually. The basic hitstun cancelling, tripping, stale move negation was stupidly strong, ledgehogging was a huge issue (even more than Melee because it actually just completely invalidated tethers here,) chaingrabs were awful, air dodging was completely free offstage with no risk. Brawl is a prime example of the fact that some cool tech can't salvage a game competitively if its core mechanics are a mess. Now these core mechanics were eventually refined over two games to give us what we have today, so it's not all bad obviously, and at a casual level it's still more than fine.

Honestly Brawl I think was the most expressive game out of the series. Where every character really felt unique with their own tech and playstyles. Of course not all of them were viable, but were expressive and fun.

It's missing some Brawl stuff. I also would not say it's without jank, the jank was just removed from where it was in Brawl and placed elsewhere, usually as some kind of super overtuned move that characters had.

If anything it extends it with AGT I also just think P+ balance whilst a bit funky is generally very good I mean yiu can see bottom 5 characters get top 3 in that game and the rankings are generally very varied. Of anything you see less top tiers in P+ at this point since there's not a whole lot of Wolf or M2 players
You guys at Panda should do a little series kinda like the Underdogs did where you play a few games against eachother in each of the Smash Bros games as they came out.

Surprised olimar didn't get mentioned. That character was so goddamn annoying. Able to have 6 pikmin, broken camping game, and whenever you tried to approach him, you would just get pivot grabbed. His only real weakness was his recovery, which was really bad.
I would love to see Panda react to all of the other characters montages for brawl. Especially D3, he was so good in Brawl, only limited by being so big since one trip can leave you to being doom to an infinite. After Brawl D3 was nerfed in every iteration with just about most moves being worst than they ever were. Only D-tilt can I say was changed for the better.

I only like his in Ultimate because of an extra mobility option with great get off me option with 2-framing capability. And it also hit air opponents, Brawl did not.
They care about what people say, can't fault them. Though it doesn't annoy nor entice me or whatever, I do appreciate he'll show ANYBODY if it's relevant to the content he's doing. Some people are far too scared to go for it like Marss does. +respect.

ZSS’ fsmash is top 5 worst smash attacks in history but the winner will always be Brawl Ivysaur’s dsmash. Does a whopping 8% damage and has basically no knockback. There’s literally no reason to use the move unless you’re using it to taunt (as the worst character in the game).
I used to main ZSS in Brawl, but I stopped maining her in Smash 4 when they added those stupid, boring rocket high-heels. Made everything interesting about her gameplay into kicks. Sure she was way better in Smash 4, but she was so much less interesting to play.
