Maverick, I want you to know I am praying for you. I had to have a full spinal surgery with titanium rods because of my scoliosis. I had to re learn how to walk, and yes it is hard BUT God will give you the strength you need! You will see yourself slowly improving and once the hard part is over it is all worth it. My recovery took 8 months. My experience really humbled me and I pray that you use this time to be closer to God and your wife and family that is there for you. There was a period of time where I was very down about not being able to do anything or use the restroom on my own. Just know that that will only last for a season. Joy will come in the morning 🙏🏻💕

Maverick, i just want to say that my heart goes out to you. I am currently 17, but when i was 15, I had a spinal fusion. We found out that I had scoliosis in 2021, and I had surgery in 2022. My top curve was 70° which is considerably severe. A 50° curve is considered severe, so mine was obv pretty bad. Before my surgery, I had no pain or back problems, which is mind blowing. It's been 2.5 years, and I have recovered great!! My doctor was amazed at how well I healed up. Even though I had some hard times after my surgert, I would NOT regret it. It truly was the best thing ever! All that to say, there is hope for you! Just know that you are not alone in this, and there are so many people here who care for you ❤❤

As someone who also had to get surgery from having scoliosis, it’ll be okay! It’s rough the first few months learning how to live “normal” again but it def helps in the long run. I miss doing sports and fun stuff but it’s also pushed me to explore other fun things and prioritize what’s best for my health and future. You’ll still be able to tie your shoes and play basketball, but def not wrestle cash haha. But prayers for u mav, it’s definitely not easy but we’re all here for u! And yeah kenzie is the dad, kate’s the mom, Harper the little sister, and cash and mav the older brothers😂😂

I wanted to let Maverick know that everything is going to be ok even if it doesn't look like it right now. I found out I have scoliosis last week. There are 3 parts of the back my curve is 17 decrees and the top, 21 decrees in the middle and 18 decrees at the bottom so it is not great. I would definitely recommend physio, I only started yesterday and my back is already feeling MUCH better. I would definitely get into the doctor I completely get that it is a very scary and emotion subject but they will help you a lot by telling you the next steps you should do. Sometimes you don't need to get surgery but instead a back brace. I know that still sucks and is very frustrating but just think if you wear it for around 6 months to a year that is much better then getting a permanent surgery. All together I will be praying for you and I hope the best as you go on in your new chapter with Kenzie!!!
