I've been looking at this watch which is what brought me to your video. Thanks for the to-the-point review. Your review told me what was important and didn't contain any fluff. Thank, great job.
Thanks Maxine! You're in the running for the give-away as long as you're in the United States. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Yeah, that's the Amazfit Falcon. It's super nice looking and is Amazfit's new high-end military grade durable watch. But it costs $500 😬 So it's hard when to consider when you can also get a Garmin FFR 955 for the same price.
Great video! Finally I bought the GTR4 after a long long time thinking about it, the GTS4, the Galaxy and whatnot. My usage is mostly as a watch (the looks!), notifications and little bit of health. Eagerly waiting for it!
Just started using T-Rex 2 and the capacity to use buttons instead of touchscreen for outdoor running in snowfall really is an advantage compared to other similar watches.
Yeah, at the end of this video I mention I think I still prefer the TRex 2 to this watch. But they have different advantages so who knows. 🤷🏻♂️ Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
My husband and I have been eyeing this watch for a while. I have been watching many reviews. We are both iPhone users and consider this watch a strong contender over the SE2.
@@mlegrand I’m using an Amazfit Band 7 and I wanna to upgrade to GTR4, I think I’ll do it. Black Friday waits me lol. I usually do cycling so the watch will help me a lot.
Just got the GTR 4 yesterday and have been going through all of the various setup options. Some of setup procedures are not all that intuitive, but web searches have helped a lot. I've had the original T-Rex for some time so I'm not new to Amazfit. Initial impression of the GTR 4 - think I'm going to like it.
@@JorgeGonzalez-qf6zq Yes, I tried it for the first time this morning, but can't give you a fair evaluation based on this first use. For instance, time, calories, etc. seemed about right. However, it showed a heartrate of 175 -- not even close. It also showed I did only 1 set during a 25 minute period of exercise although I did multiple upper body strength routines. I must have something not set right or I have to tell it when I change a routine or do more than one set. Don't get me wrong. I like it so far. It just has lots of options and settings that will take some time to learn. By the way, other heartrate measurements have seemed to be accurate.
@toml9647 I got a heart strap for heart rate, that should be good for me. Is there a setting to say you finished a set? and have you tried to change the type of exercise? Sorry for all the questions, I am trying to decide between this one or the much more expensive new coros.
Keep hearing this about heart rate inaccuracy. Maybe I’m lucky and I got the GTR4 unit that works well. I run with a GTR4, a Forerunner 255 and a polar H9 chest strap. At any given second of the run the GTR4 heart rate is on par with the other two devices with no more than one heart beat up or down. The final heart rate plots are almost identical for the three devices. It is true that it’s continuous running, and I don’t do intervals or similar.
Hi thank you for sharing your review of GTR 4. I think I would highly consider buying this watch over Apple SE version. It simply does more and it’s a better value.
It's a good one to consider. It's probably not as smart of a smart watch as an Apple SE but it really does have a nice look to it. Let me know what you think if you pick one up. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Matt, friendly suggestion: can you speak a bit more about the swimming capabilities of each device you test (possibility of logging drills, manual laps, data provided customization of the screen, etc...) You're the only tech UA-camr who seems to swim on a regular basis, so your feedback would be very useful. Thanks!
That’s a great recommendation. That’s one part of this video I was a bit disappointed with when I started editing. Not as much about swimming or biking in here. 😬 Swimming with this watch is ok but not amazing. No drill mode which is what I find is lacking in a lot of these devices. Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah, that would be fantastic! Hopefully I’ll be able to review one! Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Alright G Young, you’ll have to let me know what you think once you’ve had it for a bit. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
@@mlegrand You bet! So I ended up returning the GTR4 and getting the new Apple Watch SE. The main reason I wanted a smart watch was for fitness/sleep tracking. Your review along with many others have confirmed that Amazfit's HR sensor just isn't up to par, compared to a lot of others on the market. Because of this, I just couldn't rely on the fitness tracking and sleep tracking data. I also ran 2 miles on the treadmill the other day with both my AW and Amazfit on and the Amazfit said I only ran .14 miles. However, the distance was much more accurate when I ran outside with the GPS tracking on. All in all, the GTR4 is an absolutely beautiful watch (I prefer the looks of it over the apple watch hands down) with amazing battery life. I was truly torn and didn't want to return it, but until Amazfit can tighten up their HR tracking, I think I will stick with the AW. Please keep the reviews coming, as they are extremely helpful for people like me! Appreciate your work.
Hi Matt Thank you for the review. I have been using Amazfit GTR range for the 3rd year. I find them amazing and fairly accurate especially for swimming. Thanks to Amazon I have tried the "creme de la crème" from your fenix 7 Pro and below. I have never been able to justify the costs for no extra accuracy. When I do laps at the pool I find that the GTR range rarely miscount the lengths by about 1 lap out 20. I found most recently that G fenix 7 Pro overcounted by 100 metres out of 500 total. It had to go back. Thank you again
I don’t know the name but it’s just one of the basic watch faces. But this is also an older video so maybe something has changed. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Thank you! That’s so nice of you to say. And replying is my favorite part as I’ve been able to get to know all of these fun people watching the videos.
Great review. I as waiting for and I am glad that I have not bought it. I agree with you that it looks fantastic. It looks fine with sport clothes and also with some more formal. GPS is quite OK. Not as good as in Garmin 955 or 155 but still quite OK. The battery life is also amazing for the device with amoled. Unfortunately you confirmed what I was afraid of: inaccurate HR. So I need to find something else. Thanks once more for the review
Great unbiased review. The resting heart rate are always on the point but when it comes to outdoor exercise or cycling which involves movement vibration the heart rate reading goes astray. I had mio fuse, slice which used to give quite accurate resting heart rate but becomes unreliable with movement. The training effect and vo2max depends on accurate heart rate reading. When heart rate matters the most it disappoints. This watch looks great btw with PAI score. My mio fuse slice had PAI score (personal activity Intelligence) also 5 years back.
Yeah, I haven’t paid too close attention to the PAI scores but it’s interesting. I always test heart rate accuracy while running because it’s hard but not impossible for these optical heart rate monitors. Swimming is near impossible and resting is a bit too easy typically. I find running to be an excellent test. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
I think Komoot is the only mapping system supported. (It's more routing than mapping) www.komoot.com/ But if mapping was important to me, I'd personally be looking at Garmin. Let me know if you need more help. 👍
Amazing Amazfit review, as always with a beautiful macro shooting (always look forward to this moment) 🙂👍. In Amazfit (aka Xiaomi, aka Huami, aka Mi) ecosystem (zepp, mifit) I really missing health and training info comparing to Garmin or Polar ecosystem. Knowing that this watchmaker can do a better with their existing budget and opportunities. In quality they are good and doing a big steps every year.
I agree. It’s going to be very interesting to watch this company evolve over the next few years. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
This watch seems interesting. I've been using the MI band 6 for a while now and am looking to upgrade to something more capable. This looks like a good option
I’ve never reviewed the Galaxy watches so I can’t speak to that but the GTR 4 is great. I’m seeing a $20 coupon on Amazon currently in the US: www.amazon.com/Amazfit-Android-Dual-Band-Bluetooth-Battery/dp/B0B8YR3KZS?crid=1WWV4CD5DHAP0&keywords=GTR4&qid=1669071291&sprefix=gtr4,aps,149&sr=8-3&ufe=app_do:amzn1.fos.08f69ac3-fd3d-4b88-bca2-8997e41410bb&linkCode=sl1&tag=mlegrand06-20&linkId=1597711977ccafc6ffbf6e0e0d340201&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
The Falcon is a very nice watch. It’s much heavier and built to be super durable. But it’s also significantly more expensive which gets tricky when you’re going for Amazfit at least partially because of the great value. I’m a big fan of that TRex watch. Hope you’re enjoying it! 👌
I actually didn’t test OW swimming with this watch as far as I remember but Amazfit has not done well in the past compared to some of the other main contenders. I made a video ranking watches a while back and the forerunner 255 by Garmin was really impressive.
There is an atmospheric pressure page that you can enable to enter the altitude page. The altitude requires double calibration of the watch barometer and GPS. If you want more accurate altitude data, get the satellite positioning in an open area as soon as possible.
Looks awesome, full of fantastic features for an average weekend junkie fitness person like myself, it will be awesome if I end up winning this awesome watch... Keep up the good work and good info.
I don't have much for scratches after using it for a bit more than a month. I'm guessing it's not as durable as the new Falcon with a Sapphire lens but no major issues here yet.
I'm actually debating an Amazfit watch for my daughter. It would be her first fitness tracking watch. Although she is in a triathlon club, her heart is in the running portion of it. She completed her first half marathon in September.
I don’t think that this watch is designed specifically for diving. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
I think so too. It’d be a good option to wear to work and to workout afterwords. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
I haven’t found any of the Watch platforms to be extremely accurate. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Good Review, although I am in shock with the heart rate results. Amazfit said that the heart rate sensor accuracy improved in 30%. I have run 6 miles runs along with my Apple Watch and the GTR 4 has been really close 1 heartbeat to the Apple Watch.
Typically I’ve seen great results from Apple Watches series 6 and higher. If possible, look at the heart rate data graphed against each other instead of the average to see how accurate it is throughout your run. I’d also suggest comparing it to a chest strap if you have one as they tend to be the most accurate. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Great review. Very helpful to help me make the switch from my Series 7 and cancelling my order for an Instinct 2. I was looking for longer GPS battery life and smartwatch battery life. I would definitely prefer OLED over the monochrome or transflective LCD. Other reviewers says it is possible to get 2 weeks without SPO2 and AOD, which is awesome. If you can provide any recommendations of external heart rate sensors that works with this watch that'll be great!
Great review Matt. I'm totally impressed with Amazfit. I do have the t-rex 2 and was surprised at just how much it does and how much data there is in the App. The Falcon looks very promising, I predict your review will be something like this, It has all the capabilities of the Trex2 but in much more attractive package as well as Sapphire and Titanium. It's only downfall is the price, would have been better placed at around $100 to $150 less. Anyway all the best Matt. Keep up the amazing reviews.
Have you been reading my notes? Yes, I’ve had the falcon for a few weeks now and it’s very nice. Similar to a TRex 2 in a nicer housing. But it’s also heavier and at $500 your competing with watches like the forerunner 955. 😬 Thanks for commenting. Hope you are well buddy
@@mlegrand good point, have to "watch" out what competitors your higher price point places your product against. Coros is having a similar issue with their current Apex 2/ 2Pro.
Great video, and the GTR 4 looks fantastically solid for the price. Frustrating Garmin can't (won't?) put the guts of the Forerunner 255 in a classier watch...
Actually, I would love something like that. Just a cleaner looking body and the same guys as a 255 would be 👌. Maybe sell it for $400 instead of $350 🤷🏻♂️
I would love to a comparison in the metrics of their algorithms to the likes of Polar or Garmin: if you can pair an external HR sensor, that would cope the bad wrist-based HRM, but that alone is not enough if the algorithms behind the metrics given are also inaccurate. Besides that there are values like stress and sleep which will be calculated with the sub-par wrist based HRM, so it would be nice whether the watch is capable of doing the right job with a more low and steady pulse or not. I see this watch to be more suitable for the casual person which does exercise a few times a week, not athletes per se.
Yeah, great questions Juan! I think it’s hard to determine accuracy on some of these metrics. So hard to test. But it’s a nice looking watch for sure. 👍
@@mlegrand yeah, agree on the testing process. I think it would come down to comparing the values shown in both, see if they kind of line up or not and which one reflects more how you feel or how relevant the metrics are to you, which is the important bit in the end. It is not super scientific, but it surely would be nice to see how the scores and recommendations compare in a day-to-day basis as a point of reference.
Honestly, all of the Amzfit watches are starting to look pretty interesting, especially to this cheap skate. 😂 If I had this watch, I think I'd put it through all of its paces. I'm focused pretty hard, for 2023, on dropping several pounds of body weight, improving my speed in all three disciplines, and doing better in races. Part of that is the inclusion of a lot of strength training. Having a watch than can transition from bangin' and clangin' to sloggin' away on the bike or run would be quite beneficial. I will say that the reliance on a touch screen, here, is a bit of a downer. Another well done, video, Matt.
Me, I love the watch. I have one and love the battery life on it. I got up to 10 days on it on one week. This week I'm getting so far past 6 days. I'm at 67 percent left on the watch so I can get a few more days out of it.
This watch is great for office going people... it looks pretty formal and covers all the fitness tracking in a premium looking body... For some1 who avoids cardio, i started jogging post strength workouts because of this watch... 😅
Wow, that’s awesome news. Keep up the jogging. It’s so good for you. And I agree, it’s a great looking watch. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Have you tried the Dual-GPS in "outdoor swimming" activity? I have the Stratos and the GPS jumps a lot during the workout. I am swimming mostly straight and the GPS is like continuously swimming left and right. Seems to me the GPS signal is so inaccurate below water. I have no idea how good other watches work in comparison. does the newer software on the GTR4 help or does the dual-GPS enhance the result?
It's been a bit cold hear to test open water swimming with this watch but I did test the Amazfit TRex 2 which has similar specs and the same open water swimming algorithm. It's not a watch I would recommend for open water swimming. More details here: ua-cam.com/video/FNAygQtqKBU/v-deo.html
I like your only two dislikes haha. I bought a Fitbit sense. Think it's more of something for my dad and thought about the gtr3 pro but considered this model since it's only 200$. Thanks for your input!
My conclusion is that it's a good watch but it's not for me. Happy to answer any specific questions you have. Let me know what you think if you end up with it. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Ouch, that's brutal. I actually think that's really good information for people watching this video to know about. Thanks for posting this. How's the customer service? People here on UA-cam never really talk about the customer service of these brands but it's kind of critical. Thanks again for any more info.
Did you get a snazy stand (holder?) for your bike? Didn't it sit on a casio keyboard for the longest time? Something like that? Hmmmmmmm. Magnet charging is a HUGE game changer. In (my) theory, isn't the magnetic charger more durable/less finicky than a garmin type charging port?
This charger is ok but not amazing. You need to pick up one of those circular charging pucks for Garmin. They’re great Maybe 2 for $12 or so on Amazon. The bike stand hasn’t changed in a while. Maybe some weird lighting in this video. 🤷🏻♂️
I do like the design of the watch and the price. Was thinking about getting one in the racetrack finish. Been using a wear os watch for about 5 years now and Samsung before that which is one of my hesitations on getting it but overall looks solid and good review.
I haven't tested much from Samsung but this is a solid option. If you end up with one, let me know what you think. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Been thinking about picking up this watch but after watching your review I'm left thinking it's a bit too inaccurate in different areas. It's a shame because it really is a looker . Still happy with my bip U pro
Fair enough. Keep in mind that while the inaccuracies are there, it might not be the end of the world. I guess it really depends on what kind of training you're doing. 🤷♂️
@@mlegrand I'm not really heavy into training but still would like the heart rate and sleep monitoring to be fairly accurate. Maybe that's hard to find for commercial mid-price watches. If that's the case then I'm definitely still interested in this watch
I ve had a GTR2 New, I liked everything except the slow raise to wake-up of the screen, I decided to change it to a GTR4, I looked in the store, the same, the screen wakes up for ages, when you raise your hand you look at it like an idiot, switching is sensitive/normal, reset to factory or change dial, does not change anything... P.S. And they periodically stop syncing with the phone, and you need to do it manually.
Very nice Watch but refered to the title in my opinion the best looking sport Watch Is the Suunto 9 peak pro...wich i really would enjoy to see your review
Strange. I'm getting some very different results from my GTR 4 compared to my T-Rex. Wore both watches last night. Results were very different - the T-Rex seemed to be most accurate. Also, at the very beginning of a strength routine, GTR 4 showed heartrate at 175 and T-Rex in the 70's - seemed to converge over time. Have you noticed any major diffences between various Amazfit models.
Been using it for like a week now, I am happy with it overall but I'm concerned it's sleep tracking is really bad, my old trex pro had a better one, was way more accurate within sleep phases and showing when I was awake, my gtr 4 shows I fell asleep way before I actually did and sometimes shows I slept the whole night when I had awaken several times.
Interesting. It seemed to do pretty well for me but I typically crash out as soon as I lie down. I'm guessing it's mostly detecting movement. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
It's a great option. Super good looking and functional watch for a good price. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
I really like the GTR 4 the battery life and the built in speaker for calls and stuff is nice and it's at a really attactive price point but I think 1 or 2 more generations with the addition of some fetures maybe the ability to reply with a keyboard to messages and maybe a spotify app or something and this would be an absolute sell out product
Really great review! 🎉 I’m actually very interested in this watch and it’s capabilities. I’m not a gym-guy in any sort of way, but the additional features it delivers are the things that really interests me.
Yeah, that's what I'm seeing with AMOLED always on. I do turn it to sleep mode when sleeping and I'm doing a little less than 1 hour of GPS activity per day. GPS really eats up the battery life.
@@muazenakhez - I turn on sleep mode and theater mode so that I don't get notifications or a bright screen when I'm trying to sleep. I turn it on manually each night if I remember.
Nice review! I've been looking at this to replace my original GTR. Nothing wrong with it. It still gets me between 2 and 3 weeks per charge. Granted, I rarely use it for activity tracking... Would be nice to win this giveaway!
You're in the mix for the giveaway as long as you're in the US. I'll give it another week or so and announce a winner. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Seems like this watch is more designed for the amateur athlete. Looks like a beautiful watch though! I am surprised they don't have pickleball as an activity. Glad they now have tennis.
@@mlegrand I have owned some Amazfit watches in the past. It seems as though they will update firmware for about a year, then move on to the latest model. It is a beauty though!
@@mlegrand How would you compare to the ignite 3. Seems like a bargain at the now $159. Too bad gps and heart rate are not better. I would imagine HRM on the ignite 3 is far superior.
BEWARE: I've been having the GTR 3 PRO since March 22. A couple of months later I noticed that there was a serious inaccuracy in the HR readings. I'm a cyclist and I do about 70 km of cycling every week. I noticed that the watch was sometimes unable to track my HR when riding uphill. My HR reading could be round 130bpm just prior to the climb and at the top of the uphill I could be getting a reading of as low as 54bpm. I don't get that low of a reading not even while sleeping, let alone after having ridden an uphill. Amazfit support was unable to offer any usable, productive tips on that, not even tell me if this problem was isolated to my own device, or a possible firmware bug. I still have the watch to this day and seven months later, the problem has even gotten worse and I now rarely get a correct reading. There are rides that my pulse readings barely exceed 110bpm. I have looked into it all these months trying to figure out what could be the possible cause for the HR inconsistency, from changing settings to rebooting to factory settings, but nothing seemed to have worked. Wasted time actually. So, I finally gave up. Amazfit no more!
This is really good feedback Meni! I mention in this review that I had HR accuracy issues but I'm glad it's not just me in an isolated event or anything. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
@@mlegrandThis is the first time I have come across your channel and I subscribed immediately because I appreciated your honesty in letting people know about the inaccuracies. How much have you tested the watch on indoor activities?
amazfit always seems like great value, but not knowing more about the ecosystem is always what puts me off trying it. It does look pretty sleek as a smartwatch.
Their app is actually pretty good. But it’s not perfect. I’d like better export options and for some reason it’s stopped uploading to Strava all of a sudden 🤷🏻♂️ It’s a good value option for sure. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
If you are shopping between Huawei, Xiaomi or Amazfit, I think you will be happy with Amazfit, particularly on iOS. All features are working good except for the canned replies. Other brands limit features on iOS, particularly Huawei. Amazfit feels most rounded on iOS.

Hi Matt
Thank you for the review.
Wow, off by 100 on only a 500m swim? That's huge. Glad Amazfit is working well for you!
Fantastic review - thanks!
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
I have this watch and it's been amazing to me.
That's great feedback Dale! Thanks for posting it. Do you think you'll get another Amazfit watch in the future?
can anybody tell me what the watch face name on 9.30 for gtr 4?
I don’t know the name but it’s just one of the basic watch faces. But this is also an older video so maybe something has changed. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Great review, might be my first smartwatch..subbed and liked as i appreciate you replying to every comment here
Thank you! That’s so nice of you to say. And replying is my favorite part as I’ve been able to get to know all of these fun people watching the videos.
Thanks for the review - looks pretty functional and does look a lot nicer than some other watches.
Thank you so much Dan!
If you really want accurate heart rate data, nothing beats a chest strap.
Good looking fine sports watch, good review as always bud.
Thank you Graham!
Thank you for the giveaway! I think the gtr 4 allowing external hr monitor really elevates this as a training and fitness device. Thanks again!
I agree. Thank you Chris!
Hi, is it possible to download HIKING maps like Locusmaps etc. to the watch? Thats the main and key feature i use on my galaxy watch
I think Komoot is the only mapping system supported. (It's more routing than mapping) www.komoot.com/
But if mapping was important to me, I'd personally be looking at Garmin.
Looks great, I would wear, but I can’t wait to see the Falcon review.
I’ve been wearing the Falcon a lot lately and I like a lot of the changes they’ve made to it but I’m not sure I love the new larger price tag 😬
This watch seems interesting. I've been using the MI band 6 for a while now and am looking to upgrade to something more capable. This looks like a good option
Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment Le Chef. I really appreciate it. 👍
Same here, the Mi Band 6 is very comfortable but tiny I want a bigger screen and this looks gorgeous!
what should i buy galaxy watch 5 amazfit gtr 4

Awesome Art! You're in the mix for the giveaway as long as you're in the US. 👍🏻
In the running features can you race against yourself (that is against a previous race you run)
Not that I know of. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Nice review. I have a T-Rex Pro and I’ve been impressed with Amazfit so far. Both the GTR4 and the Falcon look like high quality watches.
The Falcon is a very nice watch. It’s much heavier and built to be super durable. But it’s also significantly more expensive which gets tricky when you’re going for Amazfit at least partially because of the great value. I’m a big fan of that TRex watch. Hope you’re enjoying it! 👌
Due to watching your video, I'm looking into purchasing the GTR4 unless I win it, lol I really liked your review.
Good luck Bobby!!!
How does the watch track open water swimming?
I actually didn’t test OW swimming with this watch as far as I remember but Amazfit has not done well in the past compared to some of the other main contenders. I made a video ranking watches a while back and the forerunner 255 by Garmin was really impressive.
@@mlegrand Thanks, Matt! I watched a video in which you compared watches on OW. Great job. There was a T-REX watch and it didn't perform very well.
Hi, is this watch capable to show elevation?
There is an atmospheric pressure page that you can enable to enter the altitude page. The altitude requires double calibration of the watch barometer and GPS. If you want more accurate altitude data, get the satellite positioning in an open area as soon as possible.
@@mlegrand thanks
Looks awesome, full of fantastic features for an average weekend junkie fitness person like myself, it will be awesome if I end up winning this awesome watch...
Keep up the good work and good info.
Thank you so much Jose!!! 👏
Just found your channel, very interesting and informative video, glad to have a chance to win the device, it looks great
Thanks Clayton! Hope you like what you see here. 👌
It looks like a nice watch. I would definitely wear it. Thanks!
Best of luck Neal! Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Practical basic watch which seems to be a great deal for battery, good comprehensive review!
Thanks Shijo Benjamin!
Can we use gtr4 during swimming pool
Yes, it’ll automatically count laps. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
@@mlegrand sir it's ip rating is 5 ... Some youtubers recommended not to swim using gtr4
@@studywithshivam7476 - those are probably smart UA-camrs. I swam with this watch a few times but I didn’t go deep in the water. I’d be careful. 👍
@@mlegrand sir can we swim for more than one hour ?? This is my last question
And thanks for replying
@@studywithshivam7476 - I don't know what Amazfit would suggest with this watch but I swam for more than an hour with it. Thanks Shivam!
How is the durability of the screen (scratch resistance)?
I don't have much for scratches after using it for a bit more than a month. I'm guessing it's not as durable as the new Falcon with a Sapphire lens but no major issues here yet.
I'm actually debating an Amazfit watch for my daughter. It would be her first fitness tracking watch. Although she is in a triathlon club, her heart is in the running portion of it. She completed her first half marathon in September.
This screen is quite large. I'd also consider the 255. It comes in two sizes and might worth looking at. 👍
Thanks for the suggestion. I was looking at Garmins too because my wife and I are already in their ecosystem.
can it use it for diving ?
I don’t think that this watch is designed specifically for diving. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
love the style, great looking watch.
I think so too. It’d be a good option to wear to work and to workout afterwords. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
@@mlegrand your welcome great video, by the way.
great video Matt!!
too bad no Tri mode but a nice budget watch for a few other things

Thanks! Yeah, you’re like me. It’s probably not ideal for you but still a nice watch.
how accurate is VO2 max?
I have some HR monitor reviews on this channel but I wouldn’t spend a ton of money on one. 👌
Looks good. Considering it.
It’s a decent option as long as you’re ok with the HR tracking issues. Thanks Kevin. 👌
This or Huawei watch GT 3 ? And why ?
I haven’t test anything from Huawei. 🤷🏻♂️
I love my Amazfit GTR 2e and was looking to upgrade. This looks like a great option on sale on Amazon for $160
Is it on sale right now? That’s a fantastic deal. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Cool looking watch!
Thanks Postal! I think so too.
@@danielsaunders563 - $500 is a tricky spot. 😬
If I had this watch, I think I'd put it through all of its paces.
I think you’d think this one is ok but not 100% perfect. But Amazfit does make some pretty impressive value options.
I like the watch, but I still can’t decide with the other options out there. Great review though.
Thanks Middle Age Mike! Let me know what you end up with and how you like it. 👌
I would definitely wear the Amazfit..it's a nice looking watch. Wish it had triathlon mode though.
Yeah, it’s odd that they left it out of this one. Seems like it would be easier to keep these devices the same.
Me, I love the watch. I have one and love the battery life on it. I got up to 10 days on it on one week. This week I'm getting so far past 6 days. I'm at 67 percent left on the watch so I can get a few more days out of it.
That’s fantastic considering how nice this display is. Thanks so much for the feedback Linda!!!
Sounds cool. I would love I nice looking watch
You're in the running. Good luck OJ!

I always needed to turn it to sleep mode.
Hi, what data do you get during a rowing machine workout please? Stroke rate?
I haven’t done any rowing workouts with this one. Sorry about that.
I’m thinking to buy this watch but I don’t know if it’s a good one. All the review’s that I’ve seen talked great about it, I’ll just need to find out.

@@mlegrand dammit, I thought I found an Easter egg!!!

Please review Huawei GT3, I think it's a rival of this smartwatch.
I would love to but I think Huawei devices are tricky to get here in the States. 🤔
Ugg, that sounds super frustrating. Thanks for posting about it here. Hopefully this helps someone trying to figure this stuff out.
Very nice Watch but refered to the title in my opinion the best looking sport Watch Is the Suunto 9 peak pro...wich i really would enjoy to see your review
I've yet to review any Suunto 9 watches. I'd love to and I've emailed them a few times but they've never responded. 🤷🏻♂️. Maybe someday
I haven't done as much of a direct comparisons as you have. So I can't say for sure.

That would be amazing. Thanks for the comment Solomon!

4-7 days with 24/7 AOD on?
Yeah, that's what I'm seeing with AMOLED always on. I do turn it to sleep mode when sleeping and I'm doing a little less than 1 hour of GPS activity per day. GPS really eats up the battery life.
