how is her voice so clear and pure ??? i’m literally confused over here
It's magic! I can't even imagine actually hearing it in person... I think I would cry from how pure her voice is.
Yes, Some people use electronics to make their voice sound like that, and sound terrible when their live, But she sounds AMAZING when live.
Because she's lip syncing. You can tell because even when she drops the mic to her waist, you can hear the inhales as if it's right at her mouth, like at 1:01
You can hear the slight imperfections but that's what makes her perfect!!!!
@@scottk1525 you’re beyond wrong bud sorry. Have you see her live? I have 5 times and she’s the most impressive vocalist I’ve ever heard. Definitely has never lip synced in her entire life
Yes this 52 year old Black Man cries everytime I hear this song. Perfection.
Terrence Ragin : anyone with a ❤️ does
😉
56 year old classic rock, punk, new wave, power-pop, classic soul and blues, trad and alt-country and alternative music fan here and...me, too!
56 White man does too! She reminds of Karen Carpenter! That angelic voice!
It gets ya
You can man no ones is gonna judge
She won the Grammy for best album of the year beating out so many chart toppers. Well deserved and about time
She has been underrated and ignored way too long by the CMA, AMA and Nashville. I hardly ever hear any of her songs on the country radio and that's a shame
Shes NEVER on the radio. It's an absolute travesty.
Any reason why they ignored her?
@@geetraldinha kaceys sadly been basically blacklisted from country radio ever since she released "follow your arrow" years ago, the song didn't sit well with the genres mostly conservative audience. it was never official, but yeah, no station ever really gave her a chance after that. after years of no support from country radio, she still stayed true to her morals, herself, and her artistic integrity, and continued standing up for LGBTQ+ rights in a genre that basically crucified her for it. such a shame they never really supported her because shes an absolute angel and so so talented! golden hour completely changed my life last year and im so happy she won aoty!
@@alyssarrie How about now? Have those radios played her Golden Hour album?
Thanks for the info.
Tbh, I just found her through a tweet from a music account before Grammy. So I started to listen to her album and I like it. I don't think I ever listen her songs on the radios in my country too.
Really that's so sad
I have depression. When life is very hard, I listen to this song and imagine the people I love are singing it for me. It's been my light in the darkness many nights. Thanks, Kacey.
You got this! There are good people out there. Find one and reach out.
@@jockmcdowell3634 You're kind for saying so. I am grateful to have a good support system.
@@Jesuschristitsjasonbourne3 I don't feel sorry for myself, but I certainly feel sorry for you.
my too
@@Rj-yr1br It'll get better. We just gotta hold on
this is what you hear when you enter heaven
No, this is what you hear when you're here, on Earth, struggling...and you finally find the one song with the right words to remind you that you are just fine and that you'll be alright.
jaylen spoke my mind
@@jj9533 oh stfu
Love this comment
Thanks Kacey for sharing your beautiful gift with all of us!! Your amazing story teller, and singer!! Can't wait to see you in concert!! Love from NE Wisconsin!!
Golden Hour is the best country album of the year.
Keith Oconnor album** literally the best album that has come out in a long, long time ❤️
Golden Hour is the best -country- album of the year. FTFY
The best album for decades
Also Dying Star of Ruston Kelly, who, in fact, is her husband, you should listen to it.
set naing never heard of sturgill simpson or tyler childers?
This album has GRAMMY written all over it.
Hopefully it gets consideration. She has a great voice.
@@wlouisharris Nominations come out in a few days, but she's heavily predicted to get a nomination for album of the year, and maybe even a possible win.
Aaaaaand it's nominated! Good call!
Sam Cardi’s going to win that
@@carditheonlyqueen1046 Maybe, but the predictions show Golden Hour and Dirty Computer have the highest chances.
She sings like in the studio version! love you Kacey!
That's because she's lip syncing. You can tell because even when she drops the mic to her waist, you can hear her breathe loud and clear.
@@scottk1525 No, you can't and no, she's not. This is a completely different version from the studio recording, in a different key. She is pitch perfect and that's what makes you think she's lip syncing. Imagine having that great of an ear for music.
@@scottvickerman9327 nah. Lip-synching. You can tell because the volume of her voice never changes even with the microphone is down at her chest.
i just love when she sings "It'll all be alright..." and she's dressed like an angel, ugh she's so ethereal I'm in love
Me too!
ok wait i think this just proved her voice is actually perfect.
She's lip syncing. I mean her voice can be perfect. But in this video she's lip syncing.
@@scottk1525 yeah, confirmed. You are certified deaf.
@@jeennoelalvarez4419 hahahaa samok
It sounds like something Dolly Parton would've sung or written if she was born in 1988. Lovely
lol 1988 is the year Kacey was born.
Oh yeah! She has that same little lilt to her voice that Dolly Parton has!
this song sounds like the first full breath after a hard cry. the most comforting and reassuring moment that everything will be ok and it always was going to be ok
Yes. This.
Perfectly said
She is a supermodel that can sing. Ridiculously pretty. Her tone is so soft too. Pleasing.
Kacey Musgraves is single handedly reviving country music for millenials.
It's called folk
@Dana Eftodie Where you personally would or wouldn't go is irrelevant. It's called folk.
@@scottk1525 ok mr all knowing music man
She’s awesome! There’s a few more out there. Check out Sierra Ferrel also
So I don't listen to much country music, and after she just won the Grammy for Album of the Year, I decided to check her out. This is unbelievably beautiful and profound. I will definitely be getting the album.
SAME!
This song saved my life.
I’m so glad you’re still here 💕💕💕
Honestly the sweetest voice I've ever heard👏👏👏👏👏
Kacey doesn't even need studio equipment. A true talent and beautiful voice.
Couldn't agree more!! 😊 Suuch a beautiful voice.. 👼
She's lip syncing.
SHE IS THE MOTHER I NEVER HAD
Ηαναηα σΗ Να Να lmao
Yes she is. 😊🤗
Lmaoo
How?
"it'll all be alright..."
She's so underrated. And I don't want her to get "too" famous. She's too precious.
Sameeee
That's very selfish of you.
What a selfish and ignorant thing to say.
I get what you're saying. You don't want the evils of fame to manifest their way in to her life.
@@redmr2na they kind of have
Look at her face.. sad.
"Rainbow" is a gem that could be an American Classic in 100 years.
Such a beautiful song and soul. This is my favorite song off of the album. The first time listening through the song, I bawled. I was driving back from Palm Springs and drove past a sign that said "Welcome to Rainbow", which I had no idea was a real place. I played it after three more times after that. You are my favorite artist and I hope you win a Grammy with this album.
Ashley Verna
Rainbow, CA takes me home.
What perfect timing!
She'd better get the Grammy!! It would be such a disappointment for me otherwise. The album is a gem
Ashley Verna try four!
I agree
Synchronicity!!!❤️
There are good singers and then there are people that can do something with their voice that just leaves you in awe. There is a difference. When someone can sing so beautifully that it makes you cry, they should be appreciated. THANK YOU KACEY.
When she says "it"ll all be alright" at the end... I bawl my eyes out, everytime. It always gets me. Love, love, love her.
It's 2024 and I am still crying over this song
I’ve never heard a song like this before. A song for our community, just to tell us it’ll all be alright. I didn’t completely understand the lyrics when the album came out, but when I saw her live I just started bawling my eyes out. I finally understood it. And Kacey looked at me while she sang the song, as if to tell ME that it’ll all be alright. I’ll never forget it. Love you Kacey 💖🦋💖🦋
That's a beautiful story! I'm glad you experienced that. It's amazing how music can affect us.
Its about god not gays
Brenna Thompson it’s about life how’s it about gays
She dedicated the song to the LGBT community... but who needs facts?
kingcharlesXIII ya maybe she did after it was already been written and put out. It’s a good pr move. Feels good to hear for people, makes her more fans and makes it look like she stands up for a minority group.. all around win for her to dedicate it to the gays. Especially during LGBT month which is when she did it. But was she thinking about gays when writing it? Doubt it.
I was hospitalized for a week in 2019, my mom (who I’d been estranged from for a few years, and continued to be as the years passed) drove six hours to visit and stay with me, I remember so vividly the day I was released and she was beside me in my car and I heard this song for the first time and she said “I think of you anytime I hear it.”
My mom (and dad) died suddenly in 2021, mom, anytime I hear this song, I think of you. 😢
Rainbow
Kacey Musgraves
When it rain it pours but you didn't even notice
It ain't rainin' anymore, it's hard to breathe when all we know is
The struggle of staying above, the rising water line
Well the sky is finally open, the rain and wind stopped blowin'
But you're stuck out in the same old storm again
You hold tight to your umbrella, darlin' I'm just tryin' to tell ya
That there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head
If you could see what I see, you'd be blinded by the colours
Yellow, red and orange and green, and at least a million others
So tie up your bow, take off your coat and take a look around
'Cause the sky is finally open, the rain and wind stopped blown'
But you're stuck out in the same old storm again
You hold tight to your umbrella, darlin' I'm just tryin' to tell ya
That there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head
Oh tie up your bow, take off your coat and take a look around
Everything is alright now
'Cause the sky is finally open, the rain and wind stopped blowin'
But you're stuck out in the same old storm again
Let go of your umbrella, darlin' I'm just tryin' to tell ya
That there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head
Yeah there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head
It all be alright
Mom, I hope you're okay now the pain has left you. RIP.
♥️
❤️
I feel that too 😔🙏 my mom passed after several years of battling various health and life issues. She got through all but the last affliction. I pray she is happy, healthy, and peaceful now.
@@andrewjanz7287 I lay in a bed at my parents house while looking after dad. Mom had been taken into hospital a couple of days before after battling for so long, almost 4 years. I played this to myself before I went to sleep thinking about mom. I knew she hadn't got long left, but dad hadn't got a clue. She died the following evening. I simply cannot listen to this song now without heading straight back to that evening and thoughts of mom.
This is Rob - I have two accounts!
The Grammy for the album of the year is coming

Well done, sir
SAW THIS. you're right
Hoooowah!!!
You're right. 😉
I'm straight, country hating white guy, but I absolutely adore her music. I haven't heard many songs that can compare with this. It has a beautiful message and makes you feel better, and Kacey's personality that's coming from her songs just makes everything around you shine...
She sings so beautiful.
I can't believe how beautiful her voice is. The fact that she sounds this good live, is truly remarkable.
honestly fucking love this song soooooo beautiful it feels like i'm in heaven
This is crazy! She is better live than in the studio.
There's no way she has been able to sing those words without living each one of them. How is her face so calm? Truly an angel.
And the Grammys goes to...KACEY!🏆🏆🏆🏆
I cried when I heard Space Cowboy for the first time. That song is so sad 😞
Good guys don't run away. That hurts.
she always has the cutest outfits!! 😍
This is extra perfect because it proves she doesn't need extra auto tune and edits to her voice because her voice is just so naturally beautiful
how does she not cry when singing this song live?
such a beautiful, talented yeehaw queen. uGh i love
I think this was one of the best performances from last night at the Grammy's. I'm a pretty hard hearted man, but I'm not gonna lie, this song kind of made me emotional. Music can truly touch the soul in such a special way.

Voice of an angel
Everytime my anxiety acts up i listen to Kaceys voice and feel better
After 22 years in the Army trying to fight everyone else's fights it takes a huge toll on you mentally and emotionally. You forget who you are and you lose loved ones along the way, either because they got killed in combat or you've pushed them away to protect yourself and hide the hurt inside. This song broke me down the first time I heard it and still does Every time I hear it. It takes me back to the beginning of my life, when things were simple and care free. Thank you Kasey for such an amazing song. It is truly a song for people struggling with so many diverse issues. Thank you
"Rangers lead the way" and "Night Stalkers don't quit"

I'm currently serving. You're stronger than I'll ever be, brother. I'm glad we can both find comfort in this angelic song. Kasey really did us a huge service with this.
Stay strong.
One of the purest voices I have ever heard...unbelievable!
Her voice is heavenly.
One of the greatest songs ever written
SHE SOUNDS SO BETTER LIVE! GOODNESS IM CRYING
One of the most beautiful songs I ever heard
I wonder is she knows how truly great she is.
Some critics commented for the album Golden Hour, saying that 'a reminder that sometimes - often, if you're looking in the right places - life is beautiful'. Hell yes, after listening to this.
Love Golden Hour so much but this....THIS song is so amazing! Beautiful and heart wrenching.
Her style is the best. Voice speaks for itself. She never has to go over the top
The next Dolly Parton.. She's singing just like telling a story with music.. A true musician.. Her music has a soul.. And i'm sure she's singing with her HEART.. Especially for this rainbow song is healing song 💜💜💜🌈🌈🌈
This song performed by Kacey soothes and heals the troubled spirit. When things get tough we can always remember that there is always a Rainbow to bring us solace. Wonderful!!
My dad recently passed due to kidney failure, whenever I think of him, i listen to this song while crying. It still hurts. Beautiful song Kacey
That look and the last four words of this song are literally saving my life right now
I can't stop watching this, her music is getting me through hard times and my last month of uni :'(
I mostly listen to Outlaw country and southern rock. But when i heard this on the radio the other day i havent been able to stop listening to it
Clayton Stephens you’d be pleased to know that kacey has a lot of outlaw country tracks in her early albums!
Sobbing at my desk at work rn
"You know this old world of full of singers but just a few are chosen to tear your heart out when they sing. " George Jones , Who's Gonna fill Their Shoes? Well George , I just found one and her name is Kasey Musgraves. ;)
THE GOWNNNN! YASSSS GURL. I LOVE HER. She is the soundtrack to my being. Thank you God for creating Kacey. She saved me so many times with that amazing voice and storytelling.
The first time I heard this on the radio I immediately looked it up and ran out and bought the CD. I was so moved by her that I cried.
Pls! Make this album and this girl win Grammys! And so her songs will reach out to people who dont know here yet and will be blessed after hearing her.
Yup i heard this song now year 2020😔😔
Can we all take a moment and appreciate the lighting design for this live TV segment?
Actual magic.
Who came here after her album of the year win at the Grammys 🎉?
Not me … been following her since I heard and saw her in Hyde Park for the ELO comeback in 2014. On a performance level she is now almost where Alison Krauss has been for so many years. The edge Kacey has is that she also has a big part in her songwriting. Love 'em both.
i don't know how a song can sound both so uplifting and heartbreaking at the same time.
how to entertain an audience with a great song.
This is a great album if you want to see where country music is today. Every song on the album is a country classic in terms of songwriting. The album deserved album of the year.
Kacey is here to SNATCH the gays!!!
Connor Malbeuf Is that what this song is about? I didn’t even think about that. That’s awesome.
Connor Malbeuf is a Gay
A true Gay Icon™
Gaycon... er scratch that, sounds terrible. lol
so what?
So clear pronunciation
When she sang those “it’ll all be alright” though 😭🧡
When she slows it down, and repeats that "the sky if finally open" with a head nod and her hand over her heart, I just feel comforting and reassuring things. Pure bliss
Holy crap her voice is amazing
Her voice is SO FREAKING CLEAR!!!!
She looks amazing in that dress.
