All BMWs should be ridden like this. I was told that all the scratches, dings, etc are really souvenirs and remind you of places you've been, people you've met and scenery you've seen🕊
Kirk
Other then ignitor problems and the transmission recall what other problems does the k1600 have and is it better than the k1200lt for dependable and repair costs doing it yourself thanks
Long live Motorrad.
(Through support of a good mechanic!)
Great video!!
He only washes it in the rain!!😂🤣😂🤣
I bought a 1999 K1200 LTC back in 2000 that had just over 400 miles showing on the odometer (original owner couldn’t handle the weight). I put 50,000 miles on that bike in a little over five years. Other than changing the oil and tires, the bike was absolutely trouble free. Great bike! Wish I kept it.
That’s in great shape for a demolition derby bike. I think you are being way too nit picky. 😂
That motorcycle needs to be rescued 🚑 😂
His nickname isn't MadMax?😮..Geez😂
$35,000 bike and just rides the piss out of it lol
Is it normal that the valve cover gasket is leaking?
Kirk, can your wife pick this up off the ground? I think I know the answer...😂
we both do!
ALGO DAÑADA SI ESTA ESTA BMW JEJEJEJEJEJEJEJEJEJEJJ
I live in the UK. If I wanted a mile munching, A to B bike for high miles on the motorway (freeway in USA?) then the K1600 would be my choice. Sadly there are few journeys in the UK where I could rightfully justify one. Too much slow traffic, too many nadgery country lanes, and crap road surfaces. Great video though...
Promo>SM 🤤
Nice to see that you’re doing videos on different models. Really enjoy your work.
All BMWs are problem bikes. Let’s be honest. 😂. My K1200LT has had more problems than my four Kawasakis combined.
Yes,the K1300 GT is the same.Agreat bike when it’s going but too many problems ,makes you lose confidence.
you just need better wrenches!
@@kirksmotorrad You mean the gold plated ones that BMW sells? 😂

He could have thrown some crash bars on his bike.
Had the honor of being the first to total a K1600, certainly in the USA, but was told anywhere worldwide. The right side of the engine which is ground at the bolt, was completely ground through so the bolt itself was ground down. The bike was the second delivered in the USA and the small engine guards weren't available. The fuel tank was cracked as well. But, the rear bags while ground up were still useable.
Yes, the bike is tough.
ouch! Hopefully you made it through ok!
That sticker must be magic! 😊
thanks, from Brazil
Pouca proteçâo ou pouco cuidado com a bike .
How many miles?
92k
92,000 (and it's a 2016)
That's an impressive number of miles. My 2000 LT is just turning 100k and it's showing a little wear and tear too. Runs great though.
