Thank you for this amazing video. As a German I had so much fun watching you both experiencing German childhood feelings. 🍬🍭🍫 And btw : Brizzy , your German pronunciation sounds really good. 👍
And you can go even further: Geschmack: base is "schmack/schmeck", to taste. Noun prefix "ge" for "something that is". That makes "Geschmack" "something that makes you taste something". Richtungen: base is "richt", to align/to position/to fix in place. Noun suffix "ung" for "a way of"/"a definition of"/"an instance of". Plural suffix "en". So "Richtung" literally is "something you align to(wards)". However, this gets really tricky as words got fixed into their common forms literal ages ago and their meaning started to drift from the original simple combination. Like here, "Richtungen" is used to mean "variants". In addition, the meanings of the different pre- and suffixes is very hard to nail down...

I keep forgetting that Americans don't get Kinder stuff! It's so weird to a Canadian like me that you guys've probably never had a Kinder Egg. It just seems so... wrong. Anyway, cool video. Showed up for the Brizzy, stayed because of the everything.
Huh. Good question. I've just always heard that the US doesn't get Kinder Eggs, and based on what I've seen in some of these "taste-testing other candies" videos (man, there's a lot of them), I just assumed that there wasn't any Kinder at all. Maybe it used to be considered too much of a choking hazard or something? I now have some research to do! But, uh, thanks for telling me about Kinder being a thing down there. Always good to be informed of these things.
ALRIGHT, figured it out. So, apparently, the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act prevents food from having non-visible, non-edible things inside of them, which is a huge part of it. It's really dumb, as Kinder Eggs have warning labels and 3+ labelled on them in an extremely visible way, along with the capsules and toys inside being a very unreal cause for concern-- especially with the toys that are coming with them now. Anyway, now we (along with anyone else who reads this comment [hi other people!]) are better informed on a particularly irrelevant situation. Thanks for adding research to tonight's itinerary; always fun to find out new things.

It hurt my feelings when Brizzy said that Waldmeister is Watermelon. Waldmeister is a plant found in the woods in Germany. There was a thing going around about aroma-replicas causing cancer if not used correctly (like with other plants causing health issues when consumed or even touched). But I think you guys are good ;)
TJ Smith if you wanna know a funny drinking game, you can make a competition with the Ahoi Brause you had. Its called Vodka Ahoi, you put the Ahoi Brause in your mouth and then mix it with Vodka in your mouth. The next step is: "good luck keeping it in" xD
Regarding the Kindereggs: 1: The toys are stored inside a yellow plastic capsule that is hidden inside the hollow chocolate egg. It is specifically made to be too large to be swallowed and chocked on accidentially. 2: They are forbidden in the US due to a law that bans any food items that include non-food items which are not visible from the outside. 3: Whilst there has been a very small number of accidents (according to Wikipedia there have been ten fatalities. Considering that since 1974 about 30 billion of those eggs have been made and sold that's actually not a lot), all of them involved children that were either younger than the age recommendation or not properly supervised by the parents (something that the packaging also specifically points out). Also, none of the accidents happened due to the children just devouring the eggs alongside the candy but rather when playing with them after unboxing them (there is after all a reason you don't give certain toys to children who haven't learned to not put anything they find in their mouths).

To explain this, it's is valid to just compound nouns to get a new valid new german noun, that makes absolutely sense (of course there are very artificial ones, never used but still valid german words). Weizenbierflaschenetikettierungsmaschinenanleitungenhandbuch would mean a compendium (=Handbuch) of manuals (=Anleitungen) for machines (=Maschinen) to label (=etikettieren/Etikettierung) bottles (=Flaschen) for beer (=Bier) made from wheat (=Weizen).
With kinder eggs there is a layer of chocolate around a plastic capsule (not small enough to choke on) and when u open the capsule there is a toy inside.
How come so many people prefer chocolate-flavoured ice cream over considerably more refreshing, fruity flavours?! 🤔 I mean, isn’t refreshment the primary idea there? It‘s like saying, 'Boy, my throat is dry as hell ... what I wouldn‘t give for a slightly frozen KitKat!'
Hello, how are you? My name is Dominik and I'm from Bavaria. You have to put the yogorette you tried in the fridge first, so for half an hour it is better! Greetings Dominik

well, march 2019.... today youtube decided to show this old video.... glad yt did. It was cool. Brizzy is amazing and you, TJ, are cool, too. The way you did it was perfect. Take a look, try to guess, taste it, and only afterwards try to find translations and read Stefan's descriptions. Big thumbs up. Well done. And gosh, Brizzy is adorable. xD

But I wanna say thank you for having the courage to try and suffer through it :D
"Toffifee uses Sugar Rush ..... it is super effective ... and granted some extra diabetes!" All love from another random German dude (Stefan chose wisely). :D
Here in Germany we don't say "Danke" (witch means thank you. I think you know this😂) when we eat or drink we say "Guten Appetit" or "Guten Hunger (when we eat Something) and "guten Durst" (when we Drink Something) but normaly we say nothing. We eat and drink without say somthing 😊
You have to take the Ahoi Brause with a shot of Vodka. You put the ahoi brause in your mouth and then you put a vodka shot on top in your mouth and then you shake your head and drink it!
That was a real good selection of German candy Stefan sent you. Some people are sending stuff that isn't that popular in Germany but he sent you some of the best candy we have here. :) I love most of it myself. Especially "Kinder Riegel" and everything from the brand "Kinder". It's just amazing choclate and it reminds me of my childhood.
I am also from Germany and find it very funny how you tried these many sweets and that is so new and amazing for you and for me that is nothing special 😂😂
Geschmacksrichtungen ist not really a long german word :D Its merely average. It something like flavors but literally its more like "sorts of taste" or so.
I need to repeat the part, where she said: "ich bin kitzelig" four times, to understand, what she said😂😂 and I am German... it just means " I am ticklish"
that was fun to watch - like Stefan i don´t like Yogurette - but i love licorice (Lakritz) As you noticed the kinder stuff is really good - but their (in my opinion) best product is missing - kinder BUENO!!! You must try them - i only say "taste orgasm"

Hi there! Not sure if someone else mentioned that already but I'm guessing the candy was sent to you via air mail and thus the Dickmann's looked like they looked just because of that. The marshmellow-cream-stuff blows up in low air pressure and cracks the chocolate coating. This even happens if you take them on a mountain. They look less pretty after that but it doesn't hurt the taste :)
The thing why Knoppers is supposed to be your "lil breakfast" is because of it's advertising...they promoted it as "the little breakfast whole of Germany is having at short to 10 o clock" if you get what I'm trying to say :)
When you are German and know all the candies and can laugh about the insider. I love it!

It hurt my feelings when Brizzy said that Waldmeister is Watermelon. Waldmeister is a plant found in the woods in Germany. There was a thing going around about aroma-replicas causing cancer if not used correctly (like with other plants causing health issues when consumed or even touched). But I think you guys are good ;)
7:54 your pronunciation is really good. you mastered the *ch* sound
TJ should be a model!
This is so exciting and funny to watch as a German :)
Lindt is Swiss and not German
Florian ĸarl Yeah that is right my friend 🙂😎✌️
Regarding the Kindereggs:
1: The toys are stored inside a yellow plastic capsule that is hidden inside the hollow chocolate egg.

You two are amazing ! Love ya both💕
19:28 we all know whats happening here.I can't be the only one
16:15
YT: Geschmacksrichtungen. Wow it's 20 letters in this word
Random German: Hold my Weizenbierflaschenetikettierungsmaschinenanleitungenhandbuch!
Jan Kögl The KitKat is actually and original from The UK Great Britain 🇬🇧,/ London, England 🏴 my friend 🙂😎✌️
Jonathan Thomsen The origin of KitKat wasn‘t exactly the point of my comment - but thanks for contributing that piece of trivia anyway ... friend. 😉👍🏼
Jan Kögl you are welcome my friend 🙂😎✌️
Hello, how are you? My name is Dominik and I'm from Bavaria. You have to put the yogorette you tried in the fridge first, so for half an hour it is better! Greetings Dominik
this guy looks like johnny rico from starship troopers :D
I love Salzbrezeln :D But I also know many Germans who don't. It is not even an acquired taste I guess since those who don't like salty liquorice never will ;)
Nice to watch! Soon another country's candy??
So funny. Loved it. Awe Lexie
Watching the "Dickmann´s"- part and thinking: I KNEW IT...!^^ Greets from Germany! (BTW: It really just means "big" or "fat"...!)
Oh, and here´s another big tip: Take a Dickmann´s and put it into a freshly toasted burger bun...best breakfast snack ever...thousands of german pupils cannot be wrong...!
is there anyone on this planet who like Lakritz (licorice)? I don´t know anybody xD Feels like 99% humans hating it. Greetings from Germany.
Ja ich liebe Lakritz :) Ich mag auch die Salzbretzeln total gerne. Dafür mag ich kein Marzipan. :D
I do. In all shapes and forms, soft, hard, even salted.
I love any kind of it
DMSG1981 too
Je salziger desto besser...
Fun fact about the "Hanuta":
The name comes from "HAsel NUss TAfel" (hazlenut board/bar)
Mr Poppy The Hanuta from Ferrero is actually not from Germany 🇩🇪, but The Hanuta from Ferrero is actually an original from Italy 🇮🇹 my friend 🙂😎✌️

5:30 you know what we do with those in Germany? They're a big thing at children's birthday parties when you start a competition about eating them as fast as you can without your hands. Also we like to smush them between our buns, because Germans love their sweets as much as their bread :D
well, march 2019.... today youtube decided to show this old video.... glad yt did. It was cool. Brizzy is amazing and you, TJ, are cool, too. The way you did it was perfect. Take a look, try to guess, taste it, and only afterwards try to find translations and read Stefan's descriptions. Big thumbs up. Well done. And gosh, Brizzy is adorable. xD
Great choice of candy from your friend! We have so many other candy from kinder, but the Kinder Riegel and Kinder Country are my favourites as well! I'm from Germany btw, great video and the way you tried to say German words was so cool!
imaphangirlmuggle those kinder riegels 😍
yoongles The Kinder Riegel and Kinder Country is actually not from Germany 🇩🇪, but The Kinder Riegel and Kinder Country is actually and original from Italy 🇮🇹 my friend 🙂😎✌️
Those toffifee are so good
In Germany we say ‚prost‘ instead of ‚cheers‘ ☺️ and Waldmeister is not waterermelon, it’s something like a wild flower 😄
The thing with the egg in the US is a law from the 1930 that forbid the mixing of food and non-eatable parts, or something like that.
so funny ur video. I'm german and know almost all of these, except for the liquorice stuff (hate it). But I seriously had to laugh about what ur friend Stefan wrote u down (the description), cuz I agreed and thought the same but the Kinder Country dont like that one too much). But I wanna say thank you for having the courage to try and suffer through it :D
bazzjumpa1984 The Kinder Country is actually not from Germany 🇩🇪, but The Kinder Country is actually and original from Italy 🇮🇹 my friend 🙂😎✌️
"Toffifee uses Sugar Rush ..... it is super effective ... and granted some extra diabetes!"
All love from another random German dude (Stefan chose wisely).
I'm from Germany and it is so funny to watch I find the American sweets delicious and thank you for your opinion on our sweets.
I don't know why I fucking died at Super Dickmann's... Like I've seen the brand before but the way you said it killed me
Waldmeister/Woodruff is by far the most popular taste of slush bars/water ice for every child in Germany. I still dig that taste - it's amazing!
You have to take the Ahoi Brause with a shot of Vodka. You put the ahoi brause in your mouth and then you put a vodka shot on top in your mouth and then you shake your head and drink it!
As a German this was really funny to watch haha
That was a real good selection of German candy Stefan sent you. Some people are sending stuff that isn't that popular in Germany but he sent you some of the best candy we have here. :) I love most of it myself. Especially "Kinder Riegel" and everything from the brand "Kinder". It's just amazing choclate and it reminds me of my childhood.
Most people eat Ahoi Brause straight up like you did btw :D
I am also from Germany and find it very funny how you tried these many sweets and that is so new and amazing for you and for me that is nothing special 😂😂
I never thought I would enjoy watching some americans eating german candys that much :D awesome^^
Brizzy's pronounciation is pretty good!
I can not so watching Americans eat candy from my childhood!... Okay, who am I kidding!? More like... From my 15 minutes ago 😅
I actually like the Salzbrezeln (or liquorice in general). The saltiness goes away after some time and they start to have a slight sweetness.
Geschmacksrichtungen ist not really a long german word :D Its merely average. It something like flavors but literally its more like "sorts of taste" or so.
No German Candy package is really complete without Erdnussflips (Peanut Flips) in my opinion. Those are so good and so unknown elsewhere :D
You should do a video meeting up with Stefan 😂😂🙈
I need to repeat the part, where she said: "ich bin kitzelig" four times, to understand, what she said😂😂 and I am German... it just means " I am ticklish"
If "Geschmacksrichtungen" is a long word for you, how about "Arbeiterunfallversicherungsgesellschaft" or "Kraftfahrzeughaftpflichtversicherung" xD
that was fun to watch - like Stefan i don´t like Yogurette - but i love licorice (Lakritz)
As you noticed the kinder stuff is really good - but their (in my opinion) best product is missing - kinder BUENO!!! You must try them - i only say "taste orgasm"
Thorsten 667 The Kinder Bueno from Ferrero is actually not from Germany 🇩🇪, but The Kinder Bueno from Ferrero is actually and original from Italy 🇮🇹 my friend 🙂😎✌️
The best way to drink Ahoi Brause is straight from the pack followed by a shot of vodka. That's how they served it at bars during university times :)
In germany it is common to put "ahoi Brause" in Vodka 😁
