My man, you can't even imagine how exited I am for every video. I recently started to fix Jawa Pionier 20 that my grandpa has from communism times. A few friends of mine are helping me, but the point is I got really into motorcycles and repairs. Your channel is inspiring and I hope to do something like you do here on youtube, but it's hard to find something broken that is also cheap because I am a student. Anyway I wish you the best! Clearly it was the frame mounting point bent not the rear sets themselves. I hope the mounts aren’t weakened as a result

The Testastretta is a subclass of the Desmoquattro Ducati engine type. It has four valves per cylinder, desmodromic timing, and belt-driven camshafts.
The Testastretta name literally means "narrow head" in Italian. It's the term given to all modern 4-valve Ducati engines.
The Testastretta DVT is an 1198cc engine that produces 160bhp at 9,500rpm and a maximum peak torque of 136Nm at 7,500 rpm. It has an anti-knock sensor and valves with desmodromic actuation.
Other Testastretta engines include:
The Testastretta 11°, a liquid-cooled, 4-valve twin-cylinder that delivers 111 horsepower.
The Testastretta, which has 207hp @ 13,500 rpm power and 82 lb-ft torque.
Ducati says the Testastretta DVT engine has a 15% torque increase over a standard Testastretta 11 Degrees engine. It also has improved combustion stability and smoothness, increased fuel efficiency, and a reduction of unburned hydrocarbons in the exhaust.
Hey man, as someone who has used slide hammers for multiple yrs in manufacturing. I'd suggest a piece sign for the hand using to move the "ram" portion of the hammer. It gives you the full weight of the slide against the piece you're working on and allows more solid displacement of force needed to move/remove. Just my opinion of course but any knowledge can be great knowledge in circumstances needing it. Love the content. Makes me want to restore my own project but damn 8-10k for a 3k profit, if sold seems a bit rough 😢😅

My CBR is covered in their stuff.
And when you turn the bars on a bike all the way left or right, it’s called full lock.

Dude I was going to put in a message saying it’s your ECU! I have a triumph street triple and put in a different ECU with a stock map and it would not start, put the original back in and it fired right up!
I bought crash mushrooms for my R1 once before i went on a track day. I didn't get around to fitting them though. Yep, i stacked it.

I even explained the type of ecu. Lolszz iaw5 types for 848,1098,1198 and 999 and more. In more then one post from you, ECU !!!! Even tough you said ypu put a new ecu init. I still maintaned its your ecu, so for me its funny now you placed another ecu it works. 🤭🤣🤭🤭

Your old side fairings have some sort of heat paddings which you did not transfer to the new ones. Anyway good job. (Thumbs up)
What are your impressions working on this versus the more modern bikes? I've been repairing 2010 and earlier bikes for a while, but havent gotten into the late model stuff (especially Italian) thinking it may be too complicated.

Re the rear link: Sato racing makes a lot of aftermarket parts for Ducati. That is an adjustable link for lowering the ride height.
BLING.. useless really .. adjusts ride height.. not a huge deal unless your tracking , racing..

Can you put that foam on the inside of the new side fairings? is it adhered to the old ones with some sort of glue making it impossible to come off?

Interesting . changing out the ECU... wonder exactly what ECU it had... might have to "zero out" the TPS.. make sure the ECU is grounded. You engine is an EVO Testastretta EVOLuzione , BE CAREFUL bend those rear set tabs, they snap.. notoriously .. doesn't ake much either, a simple tip over. Huge issues with the 1098, 848 generation.. might behove you to put spring loaded foot pegs on..instead of ststic pegs.. the rear set mounting tabs just are not robust enough.. Can always put the bobbins under the fairing.. not protecting expensive OEM carbon, but having some support helps ...along w/ case guards, fork bobbins.. The Testastretta -Italian for "Narrow" had IIRC 24.8 deg between inlet exhaust valves.. the "EVO" is a bit narrower 24.4 deg so it betters the testastretta's angle.. Evoluzione - meaning "betters" .. LOL They gave the 848 1098, 1098R which is an 1198 .. a more robust sprag, sans dry clutch, terrible plastiuc tank by Acerbis IIRC which swells .. Cheap Ducati about $4000 less than the 999 with a metal tank .. ..Boooooo.... Remember any hoses, oetiker clamps, O rings etc can be had from McMaster Carr..at far less than a quarter of the cost of OEM.. Just need the correct sizes, diameters.. shocked that Ducati hasn't put a cease & desist order against the fairing company.. the manufacturers are cracking down on the use of their trademarks .. WELL DONE !!! .
I’m battling with an evo 848…it’s flooding itself up. It will swing and start but if you don’t get it to start on the first 2-3 swings it floods. Any tips or advice would be appreciated
Are you prematurely trying to throttle up a bit while it’s cranking? With the 848, you must resist any temptation to add throttle to your start. ONLY touch the starter button, and hold it down until engine catches. I had same problem until realizing to ONLY TOUCH the start button. Just keep holding it down until engine fully catches👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Thats not the original keys in your last video. This year model has an immobilizer. So unless the ecu you just put in has the immobilizer disabled your bike wo t start.
