For downhillers I definitely recommend Powerline. Have a look at that. It is specifically for downhillers. Better protection, better grip, wonderful colour. I fell in love with red one from previous season. They are also on discount due to being in the last season’s series.

How is the rubber sole? Too stiff?
I loved my first 5 10s because the sole was super soft. Bought another 5 10s and the sole was so stiff that my feet were not so planted on the pedals.
Oh intersting! I dont find the shoe too stiff. I have both these wildcats, and the freeride 5.10, and the both feel about the same to me. Which year 5.10's do you have? -Mia
@@womensmtbnetwork I have the freeride pro and is way too stiff compared to the My previous 5 10s one, the freerider Contact 2018. Those were perfect stiffness, really gummy sole.
I have the same story as you. I noticed after Adidas bought 5ten, myself and others started to complain about foot pain, tingling and numbness on one foot. It was unbearable and so I tried Ride Concepts and loved the Wild Cats! I found they fit very snug but, then wore in to be the perfect fit.
Now that I’ve destroyed them, I bought the Wildcats again in the same size and they’re way too small! I can’t even drive in them. Even the toe bed is more narrow. Plus, they’re advertised as black but, in hand they are full-on grey.
I’m really disappointed. Ride Concepts were on roll.
Intially they are a little difficult to put on but open the velcro and the first two rows of laces and its enough. I think they are worth it...
Yeah, I (Mia) find them super tough to put on. But they are solid though!
