Many coal miners in my family lineage. The stories of what they endured over the years will forever remain along with many relics and artifacts I’ve proudly inherited from them.
    Good job on the video!!

I am the very proud grandson of an Eastern kentucky low vein coal miner. So thankful for the grit that he had to raise his family! He is in Heaven now waiting for all of us

It sounds like you're describing some industrial activity at a coal mine, with trucks and trains transporting materials. Your father-in-law's insights seem valuable regarding the mining operations and how they handle the coal.

Hey Dan, I came over from Leo's channel. My Grand Daddy and Uncles and Cousins were all Coal miners. My Momma and Aunts and Uncles are from West Verginia. then later moved to Kentucky. Then on to Michigan. where most of them laid to rest.

Thank you for showing some of coal mining life. I come from a long line of coal miners. Appreciate your guests and being caught in a cave in has to be one of the hardest things to go thru. Prayers for all miners and their families.

GOOD VIDEO👍& Cool😎I Think🤔I remember the woman you interviewed, from back when I worked for Bluestone- going up Pinnacle strip Rd... Cause When she started she was Outside, on forklift-etc & helped us load supplies... I'm from Wyo Co.
I worked # D.B. mine around mid "05 to "06, run scoop mostly for Bluestone. I took supply's in nightly
& It was about same time frame she gave!🤔I'm almost certain shes the same person tho!!! 😎 Wow, never know what you'll run into watching youtube!👍

Dan, glad you did three miner interviews! Very interesting about a female miner who must’ve been young starting the job. Your pastor also well done talking as well

Good video!! The biggest safety improvement I saw in my 38 and 1/5 years in the mine was the introduction of the Automatic Temporary Roof Support Systems being installed on roof bolting machine and canopies on all mining equipment but the ATRS being the most effective and the canopy installed on the Continues Mining Machine running a close second. There have been a lot of other major improvements however. The only step backwards I saw in mine safety was the allowing of diesel equipment to be used in the face area. It may not be as bad in out by area except to those running the piece of diesel equipment. I think as time goes on and it is actually happening now, we will see an increase in cancer among older Miners. But as usual it will be blamed on other factors.

Didn’t look like that young man would have had a mask on. I sure hope these minors have the safety equipment they need. Didn’t know you worked in the coal mine, glad you’re out. Thank you for your videos.

All those names on the wall, you and I had made compared to them! My dad worked years, with a team of mules many years on his stomach, for 8 to 10 hrs, before he could turn over. That wall is very special but like the song by the Statler Bro's "More Than A Name On The Wall." Each miner's and veteran's are that! I have a lot of relatives on those walls! Very good video Dan! God Bless you and all of our miners! (Glen). WV.

I was a child about 12 years old when 22 mines in Logan county had a cave in. All that played on the radio was Tennessee Ernie Ford songs. After they got to some of the men one man had wrote a letter to his wife. And there was a song wrote about it. I can't remember how many died but there was a lot. My whole family was coal miners. Tough people, good people

I don't think the continuous mining method was used in the uk as far as I know it's all long wall shearing I think it's all gone now unfortunately
