    I can't make sense of the total amount of bean stitches on the leg part in the 28th row :-(. In the second row (1st row of bean stitches), we have 13 bean stitches as mentioned at 21:54. Then at the end of the 28th row (14 rows with bean stictches) we have a total of 25 bean stitches in the last row, as mentioned 27:42, but how?
    We increase with 1 bean stitch each row...:
    Row 1 w. beanstitches at the leg part: 13 bean stitches in this row
    Row 2: 14
    Row 3: 15
    Row 4: 16
    Row 5: 17
    Row 6: 18
    Row 7: 19
    Row 8: 20
    Row 9: 21
    Row 10: 22
    Row 11: 23
    Row 12: 24
    Row 13: 25
    Row 14: 26 beanstitches in this row, the 28th row. Thats what I get, but you say 25, what am i doing wrong? :-( I will try to continue with 26 beanstitches in the 28th row, maybe it doesn't change much
    And thank you very much for these wonderful patterns, I have already made the baby sweater/cardigan and are planning to make the baby hat, they are so cute! :-D

      You’re welcome and perhaps I made a mistake so continue with 26 as it should not make much difference. Good luck 👍

      @@CrochetForBaby thanks for the answer! I finished making the pants a while ago, and they came out great!
      It didn’t matter in the end with that one extra stitch, just as you commented.

      I know you finished your pants but I figured out why you may have had 26 beans stitches. In row 29 there is no increase at the beginning or at the end of this sc row so I finish with 50 sc. Row 30 there are 25 bean stitch because there’s only 50 sc in the previous row. I hope this helps anyone reading this comment 😊

    Ok, I would like to say the pattern is beautiful, no doubt about it. Thank you for sharing with your fans! The only thing I found was if you use an inline hook like Susan Bates, size of your stitches will be different than tapered hooks, like the one used in this video. No shade, just saying for sizing. The tapered hooks makes a taller stitch than the inline hook. I only noticed because of the measurements that were given in the video. Please adjust your inline hook. For example, if it says use a 3 mm hook for new born, please use a 3.5 mm, but only for inline hooks!!! I hope this helps.😊

    I don’t understand rnd 7: if you and I have 21 bean stitches in rnd 6 how do you only have 9 + 9 on either side of the stitch markers. Because I have 9 + 12. Was there an error on my part.

    Thank you for the video love it. I did the sweater now doing the pants. Did the booties started the leg. I am on row 11 and I have 23 bean stitches. By row 30 I'll have way over 28. Very confused

    • @jhilldoss
      @jhilldoss 4 роки тому

      I just did the same but by row 13 of bean stitches I already had 25 bean stitches so for row 14 I didn’t increase I just went around as normal

    • @jhilldoss
      @jhilldoss 4 роки тому

      Also make sure your stitch count is right with your single crochet rows.. With the increases you have double the amount of bean stitches.. so if you have 30 sc you should have 15 bean stitches

    Hi Sarah, I made the set for a baby shower gift. When I chrochet the pants I have a problem. When I joined the legs together and started the body, my footies were pointed to one side not straight up like yours. I pulled the pants apart and I am starting the pants again. I’m not sure what I did wrong. I joined the legs after counting 7 bean stitches on each leg. Please advise.

    • @CrochetForBaby
      @CrochetForBaby  5 років тому

      Make sure you don’t join where each row ends on the footties. It’s to the side that we join so the feet are both straight up in front then continue with the rest of the pants.

    When you make the 2 legs and start to join them together and count 7 stitches from where you finished the last bean stitch row the booties aren't facing forward. They're twisted. Can you explain why this is happening? I followed the tutorial exactly the same way and made the 2 legs until this point. I'm confused

    Suggestions on applying elastic to the waistband?

    • @CrochetForBaby
      @CrochetForBaby  5 років тому

      I’ve never done it but it’s a great idea. You can use the thin cord type and weave it through the first row or make your first row inside it ( form elastic circle first to size of waist but a bit smaller).

  • @sandrawagner2648
    @sandrawagner2648 3 роки тому +1

    I have found several areas which are difficult to make sense of. First of all the written directions which I purchased is different from the instructions in the video. In the written version, at the end of the 2hdc in the last 6 stitches, the directions are to slip stitch to join. In the video, it has you ending the 2nd row by crocheting a hdc in the top of the 1st hdc from that row with no mention of a slip stitch (9:02). I restarted mine when upon reaching Row 28 I did not have nearly the same amount of bean stitches or single crochets that the pattern said I should have. In the written pattern, rows 7-28 are a repeat of Row 5 which has a total of 30 stitches & Row 6 which has a total of 15 bean stitches.While I have not spent a lot on the 2 patterns I purchased (the pants & sweater), it is very discouraging & frustrating when things do not line up even with the assistance of a video which is supposed to clarify things to make them simpler.
