Hello! These are adorable! Just a quick question, are you supposed to do a regular single crochet on the last stitch of each row? Or was it just the one time on row 2 (2:04 into video)?
I'm glad you're interested in making a matching set! I do have a pattern on a matching baby cardigan, made in the same yarn. You will find it on adorecrea.com Have fun with your project😊
I appreciate your feedback! It's great to hear that you find the pants adorable. If you want a smaller size, you might consider using a smaller hook size, thinner yarn, or modifying the number of stitches to fit your desired size. If you have any more questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with, feel free to let me know. 😊🧶
She made the holes on row 3. You make 6 sc in bl, skip one, 5 sc in bl in the next ones. Then on row 8, but the opposite. 5 sc in bl, skip one, 6 sc in bl. In the video, she says that after row 8 you start again and so you have a hole every 5th row. But from where do you start again? From row one? This doesn't explain well: are you always doing 5, skip and 6? Never again 6, skip and 5? And also, if you start from row 1, from 1 to 3 it's not "every fifth row". In the written pattern on the blog it's also written very confusingly. It says: "Row 9-88. Repeat Row 4-7, then Row 3 and then Row 8. So that you have a hole in every 5th Row. (12 ST) CH 1 and turn." If, after rows 4-7, you do row 3 (= sc 6, skip 1, sc 5), and "then" row 8 (sc 5, skip 1, sc 6) , you have two holes after each other. Then it's not "every 5th row". I think she means that it's a 10-row repeat, like this: Rows 1-5: for the first 4 rows, make like rows 4-7 (sc in every sc), then for the 5th row, make like row 3 (sc 6, skip 1, sc 5). Rows 6-10: for the first 4 rows, make like rows 4-7 (sc in every sc), then for the 5th row, make like row 8 (sc 5, skip 1, sc 6). You alternate because one hole is on the right side (row 5) and one is on the wrong side (row 10) and this way you get them to align. I recommend putting in a stitch marker to know when you made a hole row.
I made these pants for my 2 month old son. I’m not sure if I used the wrong hook or yarn (5mm) but the pants were so big they fit my 10 year old niece.
To make these pants the correct size you need a 3mm hook and sport weight yarn. Also check the free written pattern on adorecrea.com for the correct gauge.
Hello! You did a great job with this tutorial! What size are these pants? And can the pattern be adjustable to make the pants a bigger size? Do I just make the waist band bigger, but continue to do the same with everything else?
@@AdoreCreaCrochet My only problem was when I was making them I thought it looked a little big so I 'm readjusting the sizing. but I really like this pattern, it looks very nice!
@@Dollbabysbeauty She should have specified the exact weight AND yardage of her yarn instead of only the name. If you go to the Drops store, you will see that Baby Merino is 50 g = approx 175 m. If you don't want to use the same as she does (or cannot find it where you live), you should look for a yarn which has the same yardage than hers. Otherwise, how can the result be the same? However, even if the weight and yardage is exactly the same, some people crochet more tightly or more loosely, which can make a difference. That's why most patterns mention a gauge (making a sample of X rows of Y stitches): and then measuring it: if ours is the same size as the designer's then we can proceed. If ours is larger, we should use a smaller size hook or less starting stitches until we get an identically sized sample. If it's smaller, we should use a larger size hook or a few more stitches.
