Jackson and Lexie were just screen filler. The fact that Alex and Lexie were more of a couple than Jackson and Lexie said just how inconsequential Jackson and Lexie were. Jackson didn't even let Lexie meet his mother, but his fling, Stephanie, met Jackson's mom. Jackson's character was mostly a walking contradiction. He was a rich, handsome guy who couldn't get a girlfriend and apparently couldn't afford his own apartment. When he was paired up with girls, they either didn't have chemistry, can anyone say Stephanie and Maggie or the girl was into someone else, like Lexie was.
I really like Lexie and Mark love romance they love each other till the end . Mark really love Lexie despite being tempted by Callie but deep inside he was really in loved with Lexie
tbh they definitely feel like the right person wrong time situation, it's obvious Jackson loved her and continued till he found april and lexie definitely was growing to love him it was just mark in the way. I believe if mark had died and lexie had lived they would've explored their relationship more. they wanted the same things in life, wanted a bright future. it just made sense

If the writers just let Jackson x Lexie be the endgame everything would be so different things would be less depressing... And they would’ve actually given Mark someone his age so that he wouldn’t look like a complete man whore dating someone who were babies when he’s 20,, and April someone who would’ve actually respected and believed in what she believed in not let her go through all of what she went through.... Maybe in that universe Lexie wouldn’t have died and they could’ve kept the best character....
So interesting watching this then vs. watching this now a decade later. I really liked Lexie and Jackson together when this first aired and then initially didn't like the April and Jackson pairing but then that coupling really grew on me and I think they ended up making more sense as a couple than Lexie and Jackson.
