    Prof Dr Javed Iqbal is a surgeon with special interest in laparoscopic and cancer surgery. His professional qualifications are FCPS, FRCS, FACS, FICLS, MCPS-HPE.

He has more than twenty five research publications on his credit along with a book on surgery entitled "The Operative Surgery"He is a published poet, short story writer, critic and broadcaster. His current areas of effort are teaching and training of soft skill at various national and international fora. He is very active on social media and his team runs a very well subscribed youtube channel covering versatile topics& interests. He is regularly being invited on national & international TV shows for his intellectual contribution. He is an influential speaker. Millions of people are getting benefit from his videos on medical education, FCPS training, parenting, relationships, human wellbeing and various other social issues.
    Govt of Punjab has recently assigned him the role of member, Punjab Health Policy Board.

    If you want to remove a bad habit from your life, start adding good habits to your routine. And the first good habit you can add to your routine is
    1. start offering salah on time
    2. Read Qur'an for at least 10-15 mins a day
    3. Also keep making dua for your bad habit to go away.
    4. Next you can start fasting/ roza once a week or so, because first of all it restricts us from our basic need of eat/ drink. Also it restricts us from our desires/ nafs.
    This helps us to remember Allah swt everyday and help us to control our mind.
    5. Try to be consistent. Say to yourself that i will atleast bring out 1 hr from my whole 24 hrs in which i try to be productive.
    In Sha Allah this will help

      Home schooling is not better for the child as he/she does not have the proper environment for learning. Very few children can discipline themselves and study properly everyday for an adequate amount of time.

    JazakAllah khair Dr sahib for raising this subject matter, I've been grappling with this issue for decades, so much so that I'd developed long-term health complications, mainly diabetes, I'm extremely lethargic that I experience difficulties establishing a regular routine, I had the misconceptions that attitudes can't be rewritten or altered, this talk offers me hope that I can inspire change within myself, Alhumdulilah...
