    I appreciate listening to your thought process, in addition to watching and hearing about your specific techniques.

    You do a nice job of explaining how to paint without tightening up. Thank you! Lovely painting

    Good morning from Ohio. 😊 Thanks, Liron! I love your tutorials. This was a great 20 min. work!
    I realized while watching you that I put too much time on my first wash (overwork). Then I get frustrated... the whole point for me is to relax, drink my coffee, lighten up, and not worry about perfection. Allow myself to make changes to the reference photo and make it my own.
    I just received my Paul Reuben paints... going to have me some fun today! 😃 🖌🎨 ❤

    I have your book! ❤ Thank you for another great vid! I live how this painting came together. When you added the shadow to the roof in the front, that was the thing that brought it all together for me. And the water - wow!!

    The view is from the Office museum. Gli Uffizi.
    The bridge you are dessins is “Ponte Vecchio”, only jewelry shops on it.

    Thanks Liron! I am literally doing a thumbnail of a city scene that has too much detail. Trying to figure out what I should keep and suggest. Very timely.

    I have been drawing for years and am very proficient. I love detail and can spend hours on a drawing. The trouble for me is painting !
    I can’t get loose as I look at the detail too much . I love watercolours but am always disappointed with the results, ,like something is missing . When I use the pencil medium , like pencil pastels etc, I feel like I have accomplished something in my work.
    So last night I did a charcoal sketch of a coffee bar, there was a lot of lights and darks and lots of details in the photos. However I just did an hour sketch, really scruffy type of drawing with just a few lines here and there to show the coffee machine, ups etc.
    Was surprised how well it read ! Hardly any detail in the charcoal drawing , just the highlights here and there in the coffee cups etc.
    I want to try and use this sketch and try a watercolour version of it. Might be difficult with all the highlights so might have to use some opaque white.
    Wish I could do the loose works in watercolours like Zbukvic etc!
    Thanks for the uploads ❤

    Thank you for your videos, I love them. They are original, simple, nice, loose... I am surprised with that white pencil you use at the end, what is it? It can be a solution for the white pen that always dry. Greatings from Madrid!!!

    Question, I sometimes wander when you comment ‘I need to warm this up a bit’ or something similar. What are you thinking…’make this recede/come forward’?

    • @janinewilson8647
      @janinewilson8647 8 місяців тому

      He means warm up with colour. Think of your warm colours or look up a chart as to what warm and cool colours are. Hope this helps.

      Not necessarily about bringing forward or sending backwards.
      But rather - it looks off color wise (:
      Though sometimes it will be like you mention - to enhance the feeling of depth

    Does anyone know about that white highlight pencil? I dont like gel pens for highlights or at least i dont think the end result will be the same...

    • @LironYan
      @LironYan  2 місяці тому

      I have pretty much settled on using mostly gouache for these now, unless it’s a really thin pattern of lines.
      As for the pencils, they are Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel pencils. The neutral white is numbered 1122 - 101. The warm one is 1122 - 103. Hope that helps 😊🙏🏼 Thank you for watching
