Thanks for posting this video. I was hoping to see what the average customers had looked like. I can never understand why people criticize people who take the time to upload something on UA-cam. If you bought something or made something you can bet your life some else is thinking of buying or making that thing to. All these vids to me are a small part of making a better and more informed world for all of us. Keep it up.
@GuitarSummerS It has a piece of wire (supposedly recycled wire from a truck tire) in the brim so it stays the shape you bend it unless you sit on it ;)
Love the comments from 11 years ago asking why you'd review a hat! Times change and so did UA-cam topics. Now we have hauls and reviews on the most mundane things, I saw a channel that reviews poptart flavors! I wish this hat came in a darker color but I love it and can't wait to snatch one up!
I'd give an 8. Main minuses are the brim is pretty floppy due to the small forming wire, and unfortunately they all cant come with cool authentic text on them. (unless you get lucky). Other than that, I made a paracord band for mine, and it has broken in nicely.
The brim is absolutely NOT floppy at all. You shape it the way you want it and it stays. Are you sure you don't have the bucket hat version with no shaping wire?
People may find this video pointless, but I actually was looking for more info on this hat, so thanks for making the time to review a one of a kind head dress.
- thanks! I though it was funny some people reviewed bags of chips on youtube, but I guess if you need to know something, I'd rather hear about it from a customer than the producer.
I considered this purchase but I have a tendency to get hot/sweat easily and it appeared this hat would trap the heat even with the vent holes but I couldn't find many reviews stating it either way. I went with The Real Deal Brazil Briza hat as it is porous on the crown and I like it a lot but I still would consider buying this in addition under the right circumstances. Would you care to comment?
+Brian A - I would say yes, your head would get a bit hotter, just like a non-ventilated baseball cap. Never wore it long in extreme heat really. I prefer boonie hats. Lighter, and easy to stuff in a pocket or backpack when not needed.
I’ve got two of these. One like this one and the other with a stiff mesh/netting. Brilliant in the hot weather. I use it when working in the heat or out on the sea. Where as the one like this in the video I wear more in the wet season. I just need one with more insulation for the winter when it’s really cold and wet.
I have 2 of these and they’re THE best wide brimmed hats you’ll ever own.
Loved Woody Harrelson’s in Zombieland and these are “The real deal!”
Literally just ordered one :D

Got me one of these and the "cuba libre" one as well, Frigging love them like crazy

Winchester Model 97 Pump action Shotgun. Famous for it's use in the military dubbed the trench gun or trench sweeper.
yes, they come in different shades and colors. Their also easy to dye.
Because some people want to know if they are going to get a sweet hat, or a crappy hat with Brazilian lice.
Hi, I wanna get one of these hats, is the "shapeableness" of it pretty good, as in like, does it stay in the shape you bend it into well?
Thanks
@notimeoff - yep, they look great with a paracord band around em.

I actually bought some brown dye and dyed it a bit darker after this review I think.
@@rcbif101 I got a tarp hat and it’s kinda yellowish, wanted to dye it brown, what dye works? Any?👍🏻
@stickwalker - lol, thanks. Tree pollen from my bike rides gives me the sniffles.
@efoxneo - thanks, I knew somebody could use the review. I tried looking for one before buying my hat to no help.
Fantastic, a little darker colour goes so much more. Thanks a lot.

Rcbif do these hats shrink at all?

Tallahassee's hat (from Zombieland) was that colour, but Cougar's hat (from The Losers) was black...do they come in different colours, then?
@jellert1233 - cause it's a badass hat and pics dont do justice, lol

Hopefully it doesn't cost
as much as a new "Tilley" !
shotgun at the beginning?
