Might have to do some of your hikes at night lol. certain areas have more than others. i was lucky to see one there. there is another place where they are fairly often seen
@@AsiaHikelopedia Yes, we should totally do that. Hopefully the weather is about to get better (though I have been thinking that for weeks lol). It would be nice to combine an interesting hiking trail and a night hike together. Feature the trail, then a day and night comparison of the wildlife.
that's a shame to hear. They way I see it, if you want to live in the mountains/nature, in the home and habitat of wildlife, then you should respect those whose home you are living in, even if you are scared of them. Just shoo it into a sack and let it go somewhere remote on the mountain. I hope you can find a way to come to appreciate them.
@@wildlifejames They got an entire mountain range.... There are pets and small child here . In town moving vehicles are the risk ..at least snakes are quiet and dont gossip or steal...hopefully for both of us it won't come back .

Thank you. The hundred pacer would hardly stop moving, but at least it was moving slow. At night, most snakes tend to move about a bit slower.

What a journey
It was quite the journey to get there and back too lol. 5 hour train, then about 1.5 hour motorcycle ride each way lol. paid off though

有趣的。 老實說，我對爬行動物寵物貿易了解不多。 我從不把它們當作寵物。 我曾經在中國的一家寵物店裡看到過毒蛇。 我還閱讀了一篇關於有人因有毒的寵物蛇咬傷而被截肢的文章。 我認為飼養任何動物的稀有物種作為寵物都不好。 非法寵物交易可能是有害的。 我曾經在中國的寵物市場上看到過數百條野蛇。 我很少在野外看到它們。 幸運的是，這在幾年前被定為非法並被關閉。
雖是同一種毒蛇，但是分布在每個地區的食物都不太相同，蛇毒是生物合成(有的跟蛇吃的食物有關)，例如美洲的小盾響尾蛇(A型=大量神經毒+少量血循毒；B型=幾乎沒有神經毒+大量血循毒；混合A+B型；M型以肌肉毒為主)，單單一個小盾響尾蛇都有這麼多種毒液類型，拿A型抗毒血清去治療B型咬傷根本無效，所以針對這種情況開發多價抗毒血清的也有。同理的情況要拿當地的抗蛇毒血清去救治外國毒蛇咬傷的中和效力很差，或是基本上沒用。所以最好別亂養這一些外國毒蛇，以免被咬傷無藥可治，只能針對症狀處理(無法中和蛇毒的致死機率很高，尤其是神經毒最危險)。
自然生態保育得好，這一些動物數量就會穩定(食物網)。尖吻蝮(百步蛇、五步蛇、七步蛇)主要分布於中國南方，大巴山-大別山以南一線直到越南、寮國-兩廣北部與湖南、台灣的廣大山區都有發現蹤跡(維基百科)。體型越大的毒蛇，排毒量自然也越大，咬傷也越危險，例如非洲的鼓腹絲蝰、亞洲的眼鏡王蛇。不要因為好奇心去惹蛇，因為不知道下一秒會發生甚麼事。
