@@daireoreilly2548 it definitely won't work all the time, and the setting of it being a comedy show definitely helped because it effectively worked as a punchline so it's more likely to just accept it and move on. But in a real life scenario what happens a lot is you start trying to defend what you said and it just keeps getting worse and worse, so I can see this working a lot. You just don't want to seem too "triggered" bc it will do the opposite.
His material on the Tom Brady roast was pretty awful imo, but that’s comedy. Not everything is gonna hit. But most of the Kill Tony show is great. I think the dynamic is better with comedians bantering back and forth at each other rather than just doing a monologue. It’s those quick wit comebacks that are the most endearing.
