This feels much more natural than other recordings, the audio seems very clear and crisp while still retaining a soft quality that I feel is often lost in high-quality audio. the consonants still pop satisfyingly, but without too harsh of an edge, if that makes sense. It's more like you're standing in front of me rather than recording.

432 HZ is a frequency, it's not a speed of a specific recording (think video resolution). Every recording ever includes 432HZ because every recording has the whole frequency range. For example, 70-120HZ is what's often used for bass and kicks. So the only thing that could have been done to the audio in this is to use an EQ and boost the area around 432HZ specifically.

And even boosting 432Hz wouldn't do anything. The whole "432Hz is more relaxing" trend comes from tuning instruments where A = 432Hz, as opposed to the usual tuning of A = 440Hz. It's kind of useless when you start including harmonics and different tunings and the fact that in equal temperament scales, how "in tune" the notes are varies with which notes and chords are played. And instruments like guitars are even more useless to gauge against this, because the pressure you use to fret the string at one end and the force you pluck it with on the other will change the pitch at it - it's never a perfect pitch, it's always either slightly sharp or flat.
I could kind of believe that ASMR could be more relaxing if you took a recording and slowed it down to the point where a 440Hz tone would become 432Hz, so long as the pitch was changed the way tape speed or vinyl pitch would work, but it would be more relaxing because it would take off some of the high end and make a slightly darker, warmer sound, rather than having anything to do with some magical 432Hz tone. Oasis played with this, a lot of their songs are either a tad sharp or a tad flat, because they liked the sound of running the tape machine slightly faster or slower than the recorded tempo.
If I recall correctly, we're actually all listening to this at a 48kHz sample rate, which is UA-cam's standard (the default for a CD is 44.1kHz, some people record at 96kHz if they want the absolute highest quality, but that's kind of irrelevant here.) Note that these sample rate are kHz, not Hz. Entirely different to tuning. If we were really listening to a recording recorded at a sample rate of 432Hz, it would sound... bad. Like, listening to a dial-up tone underwater bad. What we're listening to is literally over 100x higher resolution than 432Hz.
So yeah... nice microphones, but absolutely nothing to do with 432Hz.

I was waiting for him to explain how this ASMR is '432Hz' too. The editor can't have understood the task any better or lied if they said they did.
Sadly this could either mean that Jojo is jumping on a trend for clicks, or, has good intentions but doesn't really understand where 432Hz applies. Annoyingly, pointing out such a school-boy error is almost not helpful and will make us seem like we can't just simply enjoy things.

Maybe I’m imagining these things but:
The sound feels like what I can only describe as “softer”? It’s very nice and relaxed, with less sharp sounds (like some s-sounds can be). Consonants like b,c,d,g,k,p… seemingly pop more as well?
For lack of better terminology, it’s a very relaxed and natural sound, and I’m all for it!

(For any audio nerd out there) Nothing in the video is actually turned to A=440hz so unless you are using a equal tempered scale then detuning no effect will be heard. It works for music because we have all decided to tune to A=440 so musical instruments are all in tune with each other but it’s really a arbitrary choice.

As a music producer, most of the terminology (used in music) in the beginning is either untrue or not used in the video. I can give examples but dinamic range has nothing to do with musical frequency relationships... The 432htz reference for A is for music, so because their is no music their is just no 432htz tubing instead of the normal 440, and even if it would be changed, people would never have noticed. And in this case it isn't even used, so everyone who "felt" something, sorry mate, there wasn't anything in 432, it has just been pitched down...

It completely falls apart when you remember that the length of a second is arbitrary anyway so to say that the ratios of the 432hz tunings are simpler is not a physical phenomenon its simply mathematical based on the length we gave to second. How can ASMR triggers be recorded at 432hz? Did the editor just try to ever so slightly reduce the pitch of the whole video to try to somewhat emulate this? Genuinely curious.

Yeah ngl I thought it was referring to some kind of alternate sample rate type I had never heard of but after doing some googling I think it's all just a big misunderstanding. I want to say Jojo knows what he did to record it at whatever 432hz is, but I have no idea what he would have done aside from applying the 440 > 432 ratio pitch shift without realizing exactly what that means

thats not really a belief as much as a fact. all matter is merely energy condensed into a slow vibration. if you look at quantum mechanics it shows up everywhere. what is light? an ocelating wave going up and down, what is sound?an ocelating wave going up and down. the same can be said for x rays, gamma rays, microwaves, any form of radiation, and even good old matter. however youtube cant play audio files at 432khz. the audio was redcorded in 432 but what youre actually hearing is 128 because youtube compresses the audio files in an easier to stream format. the higher your bit rate the harder it is to load the video, same as resolution

Would love to see the scientific articles/sources you are talking about. I am an audio engineer with a degree and this doesn’t make sense. You can’t record sounds at 432HZ - you have to produce a tone that is tuned to that 432HZ. The cycles don’t audibly happen without a straight tone. You can’t set up a microphone and record ASMR at 432HZ, it’s impossible to do. You can only tune instruments and straight tones (eg a sine wave) to HZ. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. Btw i am a huge fan and have been for years, i just wanted to point that out

432 Hz is like downscaling an image to the extend it still retains its perfect clarity instead of being blurry or pixelated at some parts. So it feels more real than any other alternative because if I had to guess human ear generally hears most often around this hz the same way as eyes react to separate and changing frame rates or the way we see colours, you can't replicate what's in real life but the closer you get to it the more natural it will end up feeling like.
