Wgat a charming idea to pay a tribute to watteau through a chamber orchestra without falling into onr of these "return to XVIIIth cenuty" in the manner of Stravinsky ! This is a delicious score and would deserve to be better known.
So inspiring...
What a nice score that these "charms of lfe" according to Watteau. But the scoe is not insipid at all, it is full of life.
Watteau's purported comment "charms of life" is beautifully complementary to this fine work in their intimacy and dexterity and joy. I agree.
I'm always surprised to find out that people from the "old world" made recordings, but it's always a pleasure.
Approcher ce qu´est lointain pour le plaisir unique et un peu sadique de savoir que l´image ne devient pas plus claire. Au contraire - Hervé Bazin.
What's the "old world?"
Some place his mom told him about once.
