yesterday, i played ranked on jg against skarner, he had 10/0 in 10 min, and made quadrakill before 10 min. he lost the game, kayn is broken.
Sounds like an average platin soloq Tbh

Skarner’s Q is definitely clunky to use, but I’ve found that he seems to be designed with using it pre-E. I also think that using Q1 before R is slept on, because it immediately throws the rock to slow targets, making them easier to impale

Everyone talking about Q clunk delay, but no one gonna talk about how Skaner now having 2 suppression that last a very long time AND move you. He so overload with cc that paring him with a high damage champion with a decent slow can create a sure kill unescapable cc chain
The New skarner is op when matched with camille, sett or even Yasuo, imagine beeing a top laner and get full 8 seconds immobile under a tower

if you press w and then q in the right time you can animation cancle the rock pick up animation :) skarner is rly good
Well damn, i knew i heard Polk's voice somewhere when playing FF7 Intergrade/Rebirth.
His q feels good in the jg but during a team fight I often find it much harder to use and im often confused if i picked it up or not and if i have thrown it yet

There is a few problems with skarner, the first one is how long the E's cd is also in my opinion it should increse distance with each new rank.
Build path is hearthsteel for sure, however there is no clear rune set up besides aftershock and phase rush it just doesn't feel strong using one of these.
Now q's have descent damage and cd but staying inmobile while picking it feels a bit clunky, I found myself enemies getting away because q initial casting time is long.
Finally I really feel skarner could be more successful in top lane than jg.
I feel like monster modifiers should only apply if the champion has a jungle item/enhanced Smite.
As for Nami, it's as if someone that plays Nami easily called that the W % modifier was a massive buff for her that meant way more than the nerfs.
Just wondering, what kind of measures do you use to rank each individual heroes up. I do understand for the said heroes that are talked about in this patch, but as a newbie, Idrk how or why other heroes are in those rank. Thanks!!
The following are guesses, but I think I am quite accurate: they use winrate, playrate and banrate mainly. The higher they are, the stronger the champ probably is. They also look at patch notes for nerfs and buffs, they look at games in different elos, and also pro games.
And also they are called champions in league, not heroes :)
Skarner's hotfix buff are good, his main issue really was clearspeed as a jungler. I don't think his mechanics are necessarily bad, numbers just need tweaks. He works decently well in the toplane because of that atm.
First day of the rework, two people have left the game and the enemy forfeited, that was super sad
Hob might work really well with them if you want to get the queue off faster

qq, what does the low elo under overpowered stands for? are these champs better or worse in low elo?
I feel when you press q as skarner by the time you pull up the rock they have already ran. I’d like to see seemless rock pickup while moving and maybe locking the champ on recast. Personally I’d like to see a cdr buff to the q aswell; even 1 second would feel really nice. Other than that the champ is aight, not really the type of champ i play anyways.
I've played a lot of Skarner the last few days and his kit is actually just fine it's more that he can't do much damage with auto attacks so duelist junglers like Briar will always kill him
And they will even make a point of doing so early so you can never scale
I love new skarner, he's so funny to play
But I think picking up a rock should scale with its attack speed

Skarner’s run down feels really bad. If you have to use the Q a second time in a fight, it stops you and lets an enemy get to a wall and flash away.
He feels super squishy early too, I feel like his W needs a larger shield to be able to skirmish better.

As a Panth main, Skarner at top lane feels kinda similar. His play style is poking and short trading, W AoE is surprisingly big so he can poke quite a bit. In top, Doran's ring with W max is good, then going with Tear on your first back. Standardized, you go build tank items.

@@SotheAlbionny first impression was that he hits hard and gets really tanky but he didnt feel like a nightmare when you know how he moves when he tries to wall you its like side stepping a faster nunu ball
I use to have so much fun with Skarner when he was first initially released back in the day. He has been reworked over and over into the dirt. R.I.P. Skarner...
I'm feeling great with Skarner top, he has an impressive amount of damage and he's incredibly tanky, I've been having fun with him
So the thing is....the e hitbox is just bullshit. Its one of the main reason that he is playable toplane cuz u can e towards ur tower without even be behind the enemy. But he is really fun to play overall. Toplane his much funny for me
Skarner is a top laner. His kit is ass for jung but god tier for top lane.
i find skarners early game weakness really balances out the things he can do later game.. IE multi champ ults being pretty fking tanky
As a skarner player, i shall speak about my experience and opinions on this champion. New skarner is pretty strong but is very clunky and with that slightly limited, i only today started experimenting so i will talk about the basic build i did so far (Iceborn > Sunfire/Unending Despair > Thornmail/Deadmans > Force of Nature/Warmogs Armor, and for boots its usualy Plated). Skarner has incredible jungle clear, especially from top (red, i believe) side. his ganks are amazing but they rely on your E a lot. Without it skarner is pretty slow on his own and even his CC and slows dont help that much. He seems to do well against ad assassins, especially early game, his early game overall is pretty solid, his Q always deals 15% max hp, the only problem for me is that you are rooted in place while picking up the rock, Riot should do what they did with W in PBE and allow us to move while picking it up. Speaking of his W, its a really simple yet nice ability, and i dont think it needs any changes. When it comes to his E tho, i can see why they made the start-up slow, but it doenst mean much when one hard CC can shutdown your entire engage/disengage tool, i think that start up should be faster, or speed should affect how fast you go from point A to point B without changing the overall traved distance. Lastly his ultimate, it also feels clunky in its own way + that "small" 0.75 wind-up feels very long and gives just enough time to escape, i am aware that this ability can provide insane value, just play with mf and pull three enemies in her ult, also absence of being able to turn around throws me off, but i guess its because im used to the old ultimate. Overall Skarner deserves the B tier, not because he has horrible stats, but because he feels clunky, can you imagine Lillia that has to stop every time she presses her Q? (Wait... her W exists)
Right now, skarner is the only person that can solo cc mundo through his initial passive for almost 5 seconds.
Mundo, whose champ strength is being able to just walk through cc. If that doesn't tell you Skarner cc is over tuned, then what does?
@@henrylin6537 nothing, because it isn't. avoid his e, which shouldn't be that tough because it's so slow, and he has zero hard cc. Ignoring his ult which is highly telegraphed, and can only hit 3 people. Even if the e does hit, it's completely single target so not that much value in a team fight other than stopping the dps. They should be unreachable anyway because they should have a support tanking it for them. If you think skarner is so bad just wait till you see what malphite, chogath, or nautilus can do hoooly. Skarners biggest strength is his harass that's about it rn. Also, qss? Oh, and as this guy said you can cc him in his e, so you can just completely disable his one normal hard cc ability,
skarner prediction: right now its pretty strong cause he does too much dmg.
he will be op in real teamplay. he will be 50/50 in solo q.
then riot nerfs his dmg and he will be a pro-pick for teamcomps that cater his ult.

Yeah I was super hyped for the skarner rework but he just feels really clunky. I think he has potential but needs a few changes

Difference between smolder and skarner on release. Smolder actually has ridiculous late game power while skarner is still relatively a tank/damage sponge. Skarner needs buffs in places other than his q. I actually think his q needs nerfed.
Yes after 21 games of Skarner I have a 38% win rate with him. But he is so much fun to play

I tried Skarner top, because of a flash E combo where u drag ur opponent under tower if they come to close, I tried my own bruiser build but what i concluded is that skarner has not a good early short or long trade ability which makes the early laning phase stressful, and after black cleaver or for me the more preferred titan his short trades improve greatly
Koreans already see that. So they are using Comet and aply it with W so its a free trade and free "poke" damage xd.
The REAL best jungler for low elo: WARWICK.
Infinite sustain, great dueling ability, insane chasing potential, can solo dragon and voidgrubs without a single item, knows exactly where low hp enemies are on the map, his ultimate is a suppress. You don't need any other jungler until you hit Gold, and even in Gold, Warwick is STILL a strong pick.
What about Master Yi?
@@adham4687there is no way Yi is anywhere near as easy to use as WW. Warwick was intentionally designed to be one of the easiest junglers. He's incredibly good in Gold; it's how I got to plat without breaking a sweat.

Skarner is a bit on the weird side for me. He can be pretty suppressive and with conqueror can win some unexpected fights, but his clear is kind of inconsistent because of his Q locking him in place. I could finish a full clear anywhere from 3:20 to 3:40.
what tier is Ahri in?
Skarner only need lowers mana cost on top, or 2% higher shield on w, others skills are balanced, q is good enough

Idk, with a normal supp lucian, zeri, ezreal they are all S tier. Kogmaw is still turbo op, 1v9 with 3 items. You should make a tierlist for each elo, since zeri has like 90% pickrate in eune chall

How does eclipse keep avoiding nerfs? It has been super strong all season and a key part of many champs that have faced nerfs recently (briar, Camille, etc). Seems like riot would pick up on this by now
Eclipse is also an extremely situational item... Basically it is useless when playing from behind and has a low impact when built as a second or third item
Ive been playing skarner top and its absolutely busted, I havnt played a ton of games but I'm still 100% wr in ranked and like 82% wr in norms. Just watch out for a good olaf and mundo.

Skarner just feels very incomplete atm. He’s potential is extremely high and I do feel like he can be the best jungler in the game, but he’s q is very clunky and he’s e feels like it hasn’t compensated for the lane width increase similar to Illaoi tentacles

Only thing i dont agree on is ezrael B tier i mean his base damage on Q is just holarious if you pick conqueror you have Huge impact in Team fight if you pick Press the attack you Can Prop it in like 2 sec lvl 1 and its just Huge trading pattern but that is my opinion maybe i was never so wrong in my life idk

Skarner feels extremely op and awesome... until everyone gets to around lvl 6-8, and hes suddenly almost useless, is kind of how my experience with playing and facing him has gone
Skarner top can be digusting if played right
Tryndamere mid is still quite viable due to many opponents selecting mages with easy-to-dodge crowd control abilities - this is ignoring his ridiculous split push potential plus his ability to use E over walls making him a constant roaming threat - yet he's absent from the mid tier list.

Lux’s WR has actually dropped in the higher ranks, and theres only a very very slight increase in lower elos, saying she’s S tier is a bit of a stretch
skarner extremely high skill pick his e is op but if they see you its much worse, weird assasin type playstyle for a bruiser if ur looking to lock down the fed adc like old skarner

New Skarner is way too team-reliant for solo queue. His 1v1 is terrible without E up, and it's super easy to catch him early game with it on CD by simply invading his 2nd buff. His late game teamfight is amazing, but good luck making it that far without your team inting to the fed early game jungler who solo killed you multiple times in your jungle, while they sat in lanes farming minions.
His ganks are good if his laners are paying attention and the enemy lacks vision. Otherwise he lacks the damage to kill a full-heath target, even if he point blank stuns them against his turret, before they can flash/dash/ghost away. His E is super easy to juke by anyone with a dash or with vision, just like Nunu W.
Funny you put him above Sej because he's a worse version of her in every way.
Diana jungle is still very powerful as well
Arguably more so than Briar, I've switched to her for AP deficient teams and she just does everything Briar can but faster. You can build her bruiser or assassin depending on what you need most too.
