Be real and manage your expectations. Undue favours and advantages do not work in the UK. Ask yourself what you can really offer as an individual, what skill do you have to sell. You can't keep dping the same thing and expecting a different result. Thus society is wired for everyone to succeed, but you have to go and get it. Do you need to reteian, acquire new skill, immigration issues, too much than you can cope with in terms of family situation? No your issues and address them. When you arrive in the UK, you have to work your way from the bottom to the top. It takes time and hard work. Hard work does not necessarily mean msnual labour, but you have to give it what it demands. You starting point should be assessing whether relocation is really for you.

The language is already a big barrier, it is a "No" from the beginning except you have a way of becoming fluent in the local languagr

Same feeling here, I live in France.
Language alone and trying to blend to the culture is a whole work on itself.

@@emmy_d_dev100 I guess that one of the major challenges faced by immigrants in most European countries, Language barrier…
That’s one thing those of us in the UK do not experience.
But I believe other points made in the video is universal across most developed countries.
      Thank you for sharing!

You cant migrate to UK & fit in without transitioning. Especially, by getting some few training/courses in professions where you can earn more on a skilled worker status.
Otherwise, it will only be labour jobs but you won't be fulfilled and be able to settle, even if you are making money from those unskilled job.

There is a topic most youtubers fail to address around life in the UK for immigrants. This is about your future and it is very important. What happens when you retire? I know you have your current daily struggle but know that the issues you will face will crystalise sooner than you think. Most of us probably lived half of our life in 9ja before arriving in UK. Belief it or not you will not save enough to sustain yourself in retirement, state pension is peanuts and you will not get as much as those who were born here working all of their life. Now is the time to think about pension, life insurance, critical health insurance, passive investment (invest and forget) SIPP, buy a house. Protect yourself and family. Some of these require that you do them now, it will be more expensive or you can't even get it later. You will thank yourself later.

Afriend of mine relocated back to Nigeria from Uk with his family. he lamented lack of jobs and high cost of living. he said he wasted about 45k pounds to migrate from Nigeria to UK in 2021 with his wife and daughhter. He's telling people back home that Uk doesnt worth it which makes me doubt traveling to Uk as a Back end developer. the only route to get in now is through student package which is Masters. the question is does it really worth it?

@@dipoolaewe5218 It can be very challenging finding your footing here in the UK as an international student.

Getting a work visa is better than student visa. I dont think its worth paying high tuition fees just to be in the UK.
If you are fully funded then its worth considering, but it requires awareness and patience to succeed in the UK.

It bcos UK is a market base experience.
I will advice folks to make sure they acquire enough skills and experience that would fit into the UK job market pool, because UK market is not really design for entry level, therefore, before you cone in here make sure to acquire a sone skills and experience especially in IT, engineering, some medical profession, trust me you will be fine, and if you don't have any skills and experience that can fit into what they need in the job market pool in uk, make sure you study some lucrative courses which are actually hunting in UK market such IT, engineering, because like me as an electrical engineering after I finished my program here in UK, it does not more than three month before I was hired as a Maintenance Engineer of about 41k per annual for start. And I want people to know something nobody care either you came out with pass or destination in your individual university, what they are looking from the potential job seekers is what you can bring to the table for each job role. Also, try as much as possible to tailored your resume to each job description and stop being generic, I hope would be well, I wish everybody good success.

Sometimes its not about what you earn. A former bank manager who now becomes a security guard will definitely battle mentally. let's call a spade a spade. He will definitely feel he failed, and that's normal because what a bank manager enjoys even in Nigeria, I doubt if the security guard in the UK will get same privileges from his employers. Let us understand that not everything is about money in life.
