Hey 👋 I’m Coming to NTU in September to study Animal Science. I believe I’m situation at Brackenhurst campus. I’m honestly more nervous than anything. I haven’t actually got to have a tour yet and I don’t know the distance from that accommodation to the main uni etc... I still need to prepare myself to say the least.
Hey! Amazing to hear you’re coming to NTU this September 😊 I’m happy to answer any questions you have to relieve any nerves about coming to uni, which accommodation are you staying on? I’m guessing it’s one situated on Brack so it should be within walking distance to your lectures ✨
Hi i hv a offer to study at NTU 2023 SEPTEMBER INTAKE. IS THERE SHORTAGE IN FINDING PART TIME JOBS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS? CAN I HAVE OPINIONS IN PART TIME JOBS?
Hi, congratulations on coming to study here at NTU! Unfortunately as I was only a BSc (Hons) Psychology with Criminology student I don’t know anything about the MSc Biotechnology course but if you have any specific questions about the university I can definitely help you there! ☺️
yay I just got into ntu for psychology and criminology! I've booked my room at IQ Exchange accommodation, do u know anything about this accom, or know anyone who stays/has stayed here?
Yasss queen congrats!! ❤ Amazing to hear you're coming to study Psychology with Criminology too!! I've never stayed at IQ Exchange personally during my time at NTU but I have a few coursemates who did in 1st Year. They always spoke about how great the communal rooms were for socialising (especially with other 1st years), and that their room offered them everything they needed! Lots of storage space too! Plus its only a 10 minute walk from City Campus where you'll be studying :) I hope this helps!
Hi, I think this ultimately depends who you ask. Personally, statistics show it's harder to get into universities such as Oxford or Cambridge, but if you don't have the right qualifications or have submitted a weak personal statement you could say it's hard to get into all universities 😊
hello gaia, I am hitesh from india . i want to do master in engineering management . could you tell me , could i get part time job and what is sandwich course ?
Hi Hitesh, there are plenty of opportunities for students to get part-time jobs while at university. Many students work in retail and hospitality. You can also work for the university, for example as a student ambassador, library mentor, bar & cafe staff etc. All of these part time jobs are flexible too in terms of shifts so you can fit them around your studies. A sandwich course is a 4 year course where the 3rd year is spent doing a work placement/internship or some sort of job experience. I hope this helps :)
I’m going into my first year at NTU in a months time to study psychology with criminology!! How are you finding the course as I am thinking of changing to just psychology because I’m scared a joint degree will be too stressful
Hey that’s amazing to hear you’re coming to NTU! I’ve found the course manageable because even though there’s two subjects (Psych & Crim) it doesn’t feel like two when you’re studying it. You will still have the same amount of modules as you would in a normal psychology course or probably most uni courses. It’s just instead of it being 6 psychology specific modules it’s 3 psych 3 crim. The workload is defo manageable, they give you quite a bit of time to complete assessments so unless you start partying every night and don’t turn up to any lectures, you should be fine so don’t worry 😊 So far, I’ve loved the course and if you change to just psychology you probably won’t get to access the cool criminology modules in 3rd offered to you in the joint degree. I hope this helps! ☺️
