My other trading platform that I use. Reliable and regulated trading platform.

Hi, If your new to my videos, welcome, my channel is about investing opportunities that everyone has access to, not just Americans.
Today I’ll be showing you exactly how to make a stock market trade. We are going to use the SaxoTraderGo platform because it is a very simple to use and an easy to understand way to access the stock market.
My favourite things about SaxoTraderGo are
1. They are a big reputable company.
2. They are regulated in over 15 different countries like the UK, Singapore, Denmark,
3. Their trading fees are very low. About 4usd for an american stock.
4. Their customer service is actually pretty good. Well I haven’t had any issues, so I think that’s pretty good.
But it isn’t suitable for everyone.
If you are looking to be a high frequency trader or a day trader, this is unlikely to be the platform for you.
Because there are better, more sophisticated platforms out there for day traders.
Interactive Brokers is the one that comes to mind first, but I haven’t used them before so please do your own research.
There will be an option to trade lots of different markets, like the Futures market, Bond Market, CFD Market. Unless you know what you are doing, you don’t want any of these.
You only want the Equities market. Equities is another name for shares.
Now to fund the account, you will need to do a bank transfer just like you normally would. I like to have my account in USD, but you can have your account in a different currency if you want.
It takes about 2 days at most for the money to arrive in my account and I get a notification when that happens inside the trading platform.
Minimum deposit into SaxoTraderGo is around $10k USD, and you want to have about this much saved up before you invest anyway. Anything smaller than that and you should wait until you have 10k.
To deposit your money, when you sign up and your documents have been approved, your account representative will provide you with the deposit details for your new account. It is just like depositing money into a bank account.
Please use my link in the description, If anyone signs up through this link, SaxoTraderGo will pay me a little bit of money.
I’m not recommending Saxo bank because they might pay me, I use Saxo bank myself personally, as you have seen. It’s my platform.
I hope you really enjoy using the platform and working with Saxo.
I think it is really important to have a reputable stock market platform, because over time, your investments will become bigger and bigger.
You don’t want the extra risk that the trading platform goes bankrupt.
About 2 years ago, a trading platform called Halifax, that my parents and some close friends were using went bankrupt.
So this was a big wake up call to investigate how stable trading platforms actually are.
Saxo Bank is one of the biggest and most stable in the world.
Any questions, please leave a comment and make sure to check out my video on how I valued Amazon’s stock price.
The thing that impresses me the most is that you set a buy limit for Amazon at $1,687 or something near that back in April of 2020. Today, those shares are worth $3,384.02. You may have missed the purchase at $1,687 and could have secured it at $1,800 or $1,900 or even $2,000 and your growth would have been 88%, 78%, or "just" 69% since then. It makes me think I need to focus on finding good businesses and not fart around with whether I'm paying a couple dollars too much. I love your style by the way and you obviously have become a very successful investor by the numbers of shares you are dealing with in this clip. I hope you know that one of these days your video follower numbers are going to multiply rapidly as well. :)
Yay love Saxo! Great tip 👍
Thanks 😊 😊☺️
Go to SETTINGS and REAL-TIME NETTING must be off. That will solve the problem.
Thanks Andrew for the video. Very useful!
I'm very pleased you liked it. Thanks
Thank you very much for the high quality content
Glad you enjoyed it!
thank you for explaining this topic!
Thank you for watching and commenting :)
Hi Andrew, just watched your video. Great video thank you. Can you tell me which setting is required to set a limit order for post-market closure? For some stocks there is a high variability in the pre- / and post-market and I was wondering how I can place an order durin that time.
One question: When I select to receive dividends as securities, do I have to pay the +-10$ trading fees every time my dividends are used to buy more stocks? Thanks
It depends on the company issuing the dividend. But in my experience, I haven't noticed a fee. But there might be a little one that I am not noticing. Ask saxo directly for a better answer, sorry I couldn't be more exact
Andrew - do you have any options training courses on Saxo?
Really good and easy tutorial to follow - thank you. However, I want to trade options and am looking for some explanation on how to set up the platform for this. It was a good video nonetheless!
I have videos on selling put options with tutorials. So that should help you 🙂
Good shit brother, keep up the good work
👍thanks
thank you, this was helpful
You're welcome :)
Looks good. I've been using cmcmarkets which also does the job for me on the ASX, but good to know for the future 👌
I'm just happy you have a trading account!
Thank you very much! Finally found a great video on this. Saxo has a new platform called Saxoinvestor, what would be the difference between these two platforms for someone looking to invest long term?
And I noticed that Saxo has a 15 minutes delay, how will it affect the orders if I’m looking to invest long term, or if i’m into day trading?
Hi, thanks for the great question. So i'm not familiar with Saxo investor. What you would need to do is checking the trading fees and who the platform is built for. I would be surprised if it was better than SaxoTraderGo for long term investors. About the 15min delay, yes that exists with SaxoTraderGo. Look, it doesn't affect me at all. I don't think I have ever seen a trade go through live. I set my buy prices with a limit order, and thats it. Each day I get notified is something was bought. I don't worry about the 15 min delay it really doesn't impact me, and won't impact me in the long term. But I understand for day trading that can be very costly. So the Platform is definitely not for day traders. They need something more sophisticated. Hope that answers all your questions :) Let me know
Thanks! How many brokerage accounts do you have? Do you recommend Saxo for passive indexfund investing - or do you think that other platforms are better suited for index investing for us non US residents?
Saxo and interactive brokers are great for passive investing. Interactive brokers is better once you are bigger than 100k. I have two
Can you please do a video on how to correctly execute a trailing stop buy and trailing stop sell on SaxoTraderGo platform for a stock?
Hi Andrew - thanks for the video. Any chance of doing one for SaxoTrader Pro platform as there are so many different modules that I think I could be missing out on?
Hi, appreciate the question. So the saxo trader pro platform is far more advanced but totally not necessary for me. I think it's more for technical traders. And I have no use for anything more. What modules did you want???
Cheers for the advice. Looking to open an account with Saxo soon.
no worries mate!! Glad you are enjoying the video's

Hello, could we trade options on us stock on UK using saxo bank.
Holy moly! Halifax share dealing went bankrupt!? I used them for a while.
Yes, crazy I know. Very important to trust your broker.
Helpful video. Can you talk about how to use the 'sell' option ? How to short here?
Hi, thanks for the comment. Selling is the same as buying. just need to open a trade ticket, and choose the sell option. I always sell at a limit order, but you can do stop losses and trailing stop loses and things like that. Good idea for a video.
I don't think this is the platform for shorting stocks. you would need to professional version. This is more for long term investors. Hope that helped :)
thx mate, one more question, on saxo bank how do you sell a stock you've already bought? do you just close the position ?
You can close it, it will ask you to sell at market or you can set the price you want. It's pretty much the exact same as buying.
great video. thank you. Do they have an option to do paper trading as well at the beginning? and also is saxo also easy to use for option trading? thank you
Yes, there is a demo account with pretend funds to practice. Regarding options, yes it is available, but I don't invest in options myself, so I don't have that experience. Thanks for the comment, any more questions?
Andrew Brown thank you very much
Hi Andrew, Can you please explain the ancilliary fees to me (when you go to buy a stock and click on the 'i')? It seems for all stocks theres a 0.12% pa fee which I get. What I dont understand is the 10 eur a month custody fee. Is that 10 eur per month per stock?
I cannot explain it as well as the customer service people at Saxo. Because it is actually a little different depending on the level of your account and how much money you have in the account..
Thank you for your videos! One question: does PDT rule apply to Saxo bank?
Hi, so I'm not familiar with the margin rules of Saxo because I avoid margin completely. I think margin trading is too risky for me. Be careful if you are doing this. So i don't know the PDT rules. Sorry
Hai there.. Is there any time xpired? Like Option stock, when buy , u must enter date xpiring. When it reach xpiring date, lost or profit, saxo will autoclosed the position.
I don't know anything about options. But you can choose good till cancelled on normal stock orders and it will not expire
Hey, thanks for the tips! How does this tutorial connect with your Indexed Funds Ireland video? Do you simply set-up an account with your Irish address and then the fees are automatically lower?
Also, should Blackrock be bought through Saxo in the same way as you demo’d Amazon?
Thanks for the question, its a great one. When I search for an instrument inside SaxoTraderGo the Irish Index ETF's are available to buy. So I simply do exactly the same thing as I did with the Amazon demonstration. Each time i'm paid a dividend, the witholding tax will be automatically calculated by the ETF and I'll receive my dividend. Does that answer your question?
Thanks!
Hi Andrew - if I cannot find a company in the instrument search does that mean that company equities aren't being traded?
company name - Can-Fite BioPharma Ltd
Thanks
Good question, so saxo have most exchanges covered but they don't have done of the minor obscure exchanges. Like the jasdaq in Japan. Where is this company based??
Do you know when I will receive additional stocks from dividends? I have already elected to receive securities and recently received about 6 euros from apple stock in dividends. Will these be used to buy fractional shares automatically and if yes when? Or is there a minimum amount in order to reinvest dividends? Thanks
Depends on the company. But at least 1 month from the election deadline. Be patient.
Okay Thanks.
Hi. I appreciate your good tutorial!
One question: if you think amazon's share price is overvalued, why don't you short-sell it? Thank you!
Great question. generally, I have no idea which way the stock price is going to move in the short term. There is nothing wrong with the company, so in 20 years time i think it will be worth a lot more. So it's possible that the share price just grows really slowly upwards. maybe 3% for many years. And short selling isn't a good idea for good companies. It's overvalued for me to get 15% ROI, but not overvalued for someone who wants maybe 3-7%. Short selling is when something is 100x over valued and the financials look terrible. Amazon's financials are solid. What do you think???
A short position has unlimited potential losses and a fixed maximum return. If an overvalued company had its stock price rise significantly suddenly it has the potential to ruin you.
I’ve opened a saxo trader account, but no matter what I search in the instruments it says no instrument found, any idea why this is happening?
It sounds like you have a restricted account. Email customer service and explain the problem and that you think you don't have the correct permissions
Hi Andrew, How are you ? I just wana know Theirs no Leverage or lot size system ( multiplication of profit & loss ) ?
Thanks in advance!
Hi, no none of those things unless you go into margin. So just don't go into margin and it will be fine :)
Hey Andrew, just found out your channel on Investing, great tips and advice.
Do you fund your Saxo account in USD or AUD, I heard Saxo conversion rates for buying or selling is pretty bad if you use other currencies besides USD. Appreciate your advice.
I’m considering opening up a Saxo or Interactive Broker or even TDameritade, I’m from sunny Singapore by the way.
Hi glad you found my video's helpful. I fund my Saxo account with USD. Yes, you are right, the exchange rates are not good for other currencies. I think Singapore Dollar, USD and Euro are all pretty good though. I love the food in Singapore, great to have you here. Any more questions?
Andrew Brown you are most welcome to visit and try out the street food again..hehe
Have you considered in diversifying into Bond market or Forex or Commodities ETF?
Great content mate, you got a new subscriber.👍🏻
@@azrinaz8993 Forex and Commodities not really, but Bonds yes. Corporate Bands are interesting, governments at the moment are not investable in my opinion. I keep an eye on government bonds and i think at some stage in my life I'll be investing, but right now no. What about you?
do you transfer direct from australian bank to saxo FX account or do you sub transfer from AUD to USD direct from SAXO?
Straight is fine.

Left of the positions that you own multiple of, there is a plus, is that only the case for stock positions, or for ETF's as well?
And if it holds true for ETF's as well, how do you enable it?
Thanks for the question :) The plus icon isn't important. But it should work for anything you have multiple positions of. If it doesn't show, do no worry. It should show each individual transaction you have made
@@AndrewBrownInvesting I appreciate the answer.
I acquired a second position in an ETF today, and i miss some information on each of the positions individually instead of combined. It might appear tomorrow though.

Great vid! Can you do a video about Trailing Buy in Saxo?
Thanks for the question, but can you explain why a trailing buy is important?
@@AndrewBrownInvesting Ok, a little background: I'm new to trailing stops and trailing buys because believe it or not, the Philippine Stock Market authorities do not require the brokers to install this functions so we're pretty much trading with the same functionalities post WW2 haha! Anyway, divested, moved to global markets. So, I found this trailing stop function which is AWESOME, but Saxo has a Trailing Stop but with an option for "Buy", I'm confused what it does. I thought Trailing Stops are for selling, or am I wrong?
I wonder if there is some state guarantee protection against insolvency of SaxoBank?
There is 100,000 euro insurance for each customer backed by the denmark national bank.

Can someone help with a question on the saxo demo?
My stop loss keeps getting executed even though I'm points away. For example earlier I had a stock at say £70 and I expected it to go up in the next 30 mins, btw it never dropped below 69.60. My stop loss was £69. 5 mins later it sells the trade at 68.80!?!?! 10 mins later the graph shows a downturn. Fair enough but why the time anomaly. Its done that a few times. Is this a demo problem or am I doing something wildly wrong here?
I put the stop loss there to minimize my loss but saxo keep jumping 50 pence and grabbing my loss order even though the candle shows it never went that low. That 50p mark up is the profit. I lost 3 trades yesterday at 75 quid each!
Hi so this is my best attempt. but there will be others out there who know more. So the bid and ask price is what matters, not the exact share price. The Share price is what the stock was last traded at. not what you can get for it if you buy or sell. Someone somewhere wants to sell at 69.00 and someone wants to buy at 68.80... But the last trade was at 69.50. So the share price says 69.50. but really you can only buy it for 69.00. Because that is what someone is willing to sell it to you at. The demo is not a live feed. It has a delay. You need a very high speed trading platform to attempt what you are trying to do. Saxo pro might be an ok option. but I have no idea as you are trading very different to me. Customer service will also help you understand better. But that's my attempt.

Could you show me Saxo's market screeners? How many type of options there are? Such as, according market capitalisation, rises, falls, volume. For example, MC between 100M and 500M.
Another important thing is, market depth.

Hi Andrew,
Please do you have idea about fees on transferring usd from uae (dubai) .
Do you suggest to use saxobank to trade stocks in dubai ? Or other platform
I don't know about stocks in Dubai but interactive brokers have the best exchange rate spreads in the entire industry. I have links in my description for IB. Definitely the best option I think
Thank you for the video! Quick question, the app only shows 15mins delayed stock prices (unless you pay to get live prices), does that affect the order you make (assuming you know the real market price from different apps)? Or the order is linked to the live stock exchange platform and has nothing to do with the viewed 15mins delay?..if that makes sense?
Hi, Good question. Appreciate the comment. Well i don't do any high frequency trading, so I don't see a need for LIVE prices. I just put a limit order in at the price I want and walk away. I have in the past put in market orders and they will get filled immediately but the quoted price is delayed. Did that answer your question?
Andrew Brown yes thank you! Just to confirm my understand by an example, if the price shown (delayed) is 50 USD, and you know that the real (live) price is at 45 USD, if you place a limit at 45 USD the order will go right through right away, right?

Hi, so in historical reports, there is a window called, share dividends. in there you can generate a report for a custom period. :)
@@AndrewBrownInvesting Thanks for your prompt answer, usually when calling Saxo support this happens: 1- wait for more than an hour to get somebody answer my call, 2- always someone answering from India "I have nothing against Indian people" but it is not easy to understand their English, 3- they can not answer the question. Can you tell me how did you know the price of a Amazon share like how do you calculate it
I don't really understand what you mean? Like how do I calculate intrinsic value? or how do I find the share price?
Hi Andrew, great video explaining the interface about saxotrader, loved it! I am 19 and I very new and still learning about investing myself and I was wondering about the rise automated trading tools. Would love your opinions on them and can a trader stay competitive when these automated tools are using complex formulas and algorithms, additionally emotions aren't liability for these programs.
Hi, amazing question. My thoughts are that as ai improves, their will be some very good sophisticated tools, it will change the day trading game. But the longer term investor will have nothing to worry about. See, companies are run by people, who are creative, complex and evolving. An algorithm will be able to find very financially stable and growing companies, but doesn't mean the company will be going strong in 20 years time. That is subjective, and this will be where a investor will be able to always have an advantage. Plus an ai program is going to need 10 years of good performance before it will be trusted. Just like any other investor, it will be about performance over the long term. This is just my opinion, in 20-30 years time I'm sure there will be some impressive results.

I just recently opened an ac with Saxo.. in fact I traded Tesla, but I noticed why the hell this platform is 15 min delayed... price/chart? and can you explain a little more about the features when placing a delivery order. like what to select or what not to? GTC, Day, Month, a week?
Hi, so SaxoTraderGo is the simply trading platform. It isn't designed for high frequency trading. Better for long term investors. You want to change to the Pro version (which costs money to remove the delay). I always use GTC (good till canceled) as I don't have any need for day, month trading. I also always use a limit order as well and choose the price I want, rather than a market order. Hope that helped a little
Only the initial deposit should be 10,000? Like i can for example on monthly basis just deposit 500 or 1000 $?
Correct, need to start with 10k just one time. After that deposit as you wish even $1000 ☺️
@@AndrewBrownInvesting thank you and thanks for the video it was really useful 🙏🏻
I am a bit confused about the fees, i know there is a low fee of buying a stock, is there a holding fee ?, montly fee ? I am afraid all my earned dividend money will go to fees
there are fees. When buying a US stock, there is no holding fee (but apparently a very very tiny account fee each year. It is so small I haven't bothered to work it out exactly. Dividends depend on the country. US stocks that pay dividends, will withhold 30% of the dividend. It sucks ,but all brokerage accounts do this. It is a responsibility of the company issuing the dividend, not the broker. Honestly, a lot of this depends on what country you are from, so you will have to read the fees section on the website. Saxo is good, but Interactive Brokers is better (link in description). I have both accounts.
I've opened an account with them. I should have done this along time ago. Hargreaves Lansdown are a complete rip off. £12 for a stock compared to $4 a stock with SAXO.. ! Even with the monthly fees, Saxo works better and cheaper. Also they have alot more individual stocks to pick from.
Great, glad you have found saxo a good option. I think so as well.
Might have spoken too soon. I placed 4 limit orders. Only 2 were filled. Not sure why the other 2 weren't. No response from the customer support yet.
I put the ask price. I'm sure that's correct. My first day using it. A bit concerned now.. have you experienced that before?

Hi Andrew! I own 25 shares of ARKK and recently decided to sell 4 of them to reduce my position. Upon selling the shares, it shows up as a short of 4 shares while my long position of 25 is still in existence. Is this normal?
That doesn't sound correct, is it a limit sell order at a specific price??

Please, how to trade stocks without leverage? it´s my first time with the Saxo platform and when I try to buy a Stock (EQ) the nominal value is 1% of share value. For example if I buy a simple share of AMZN at $2100, the nominal value than I see in the trade ticket is $21. So, how can I change this and buy just with the cash I have, without borrowing money?
Make sure you are buying equities, not cfd or another instrument. In your watchlist, search for the company and see the options. You want only equities...
@@AndrewBrownInvesting Thank you for your answer. Yes, I just want equities and I´m almost sure are equities (EQ). if would be CFD's should say (CFD) or opcions (EQo). I already asked to the support team but no answer yet.
I just realise that it happen just with UK equities. Do you konw why?
UK equities are always in Pence, not pound. So 1220 is actually 12.20£.
Hey Andrew, 2 quick questions if you don't mind bud
1. Can I deposit from an existing U.S. Bank acct if I am a resident of a different country?
2. You mentioned sweet spot was ~7,000-10,000 USD on the acct and why was that, sry if I missed it, not planning to use that much
Hi, good questions.
1. If the us bank is in your name it should be fine.
2. Just regarding fees. So it's about $4 a trade. $100 trade it is $4... $7000 trade it is $4. But after that it starts to increase slightly as a percentage of the amount.
Hope that helps and use the link in my description ☺️

Hi Andrew, can you make a video showing how you sell stock on Saxo and different ways?
Hi, thanks for the comment, selling on saxo is the same as buying, just need to select sell in the trade ticket. I should have included this, so thanks for letting me know. I appreciate that a lot
Hi, Saxo is great interface but I do find a bit overwhelming. It would be great if you could do a deep dive and explain the fundamentals.
@@ocean104 besides how to sell, what makes it overwhelming? Just so I can make sure to plan the video correctly
Hi, Andrew, place a stop or an automated sell at a price / % when a stock drops would be very helpful.
Hi Andrew, as a beginner, I’m also confused with the breakdown of costs when I sell a stock. How much did it cost me to trade / taxes / selling price.... I think this could a good video that could help many people.
I am not able to see button for trading options, can you please help
I can, so select a company from your watchlist. In the trade window there is a tab that says 'option chain' click that
@@AndrewBrownInvesting unfortunately it doesn't show up. Can you please let me know your email , so that I can send screenshot if possible
$10k minimum deposit is a huge bummer!
I think it is ok. It is a good hurdle for people to save money and show they can be responsible before taking the risks of investing.
Helpful video. I do not see where to set a limit? Can you explain? Thanks !
Hi, thanks. Ok in drop down options in the trade ticket, you can select market, limit, stop loss etc. It should be obvious when inside the trade ticket window. Hope that helped
Hi Andrew, I recently open an account in saxo. Yesterday I have done trade on GTC but it did not show up in my account
I'm not sure what happened, check with customer service. Did you follow the trade I made in the video?
Forex and binary trading is a good market to raise your finance at a steady growth, you need a proper understanding and a good strategy to become successful,Mr Andrew has introduced me to a great strategy that I can make good profit and now I’m winning everyday, contact him now at (Andrewwilliamq1@gmail.com)I made $ 123k last week he is from US And he is very honest.
What is the difference between Saxo Go and Saxo Pro? Am confused which account to open...Go or Pro?
Hoenstly Pro has far more features. totally unnecessary for a long term investor like myself. If you want to get into high frequency trading, well Pro is better. Saxotradergo is far simpler.
Will recommend a trading team call ETHICALMOBILE you can add them on Instagram . Trading with ETHICALMOBILE has been awesome all thanks to their C.E.O
Hi, why Saxo opens automatically a position in the opposite direction when I close for example a long position? This is insane. How do you stop that? Thanks
HI, Yes that is insane. Something is wrong. I'm not sure what settings you are using. Maybe a bracket order or stop loss. You need to contact support and get help as that isn't normal. Good luck!!!!
Hi Janos, the same thing happened to me. When I sold 4 out of 25 shares I owned, it shorted 4 stocks and maintained my long position of 25. After a day, they are net out and I ended up with 21.
Same happening here and ive seen other people commenting same issue. When i sell it the position is changed to "square" and a short position is opened. There is no way of closing it either. From what ive heard from people, it seems to be only happening on Saxo.
@@AndrewBrownInvesting Go to SETTINGS and REAL-TIME NETTING must be off. That will solve the problem.

Hi, thanks for the review. Just one question: there is also another platform called "saxoinvestor" what is the difference and is it better for a long term investment?
I think SaxotraderGo is the better platform for long term simple investing. But just talk to someone at saxo, if you have specific concerns. :)
$4 is way less then $60, I cant loose on that
$60 sounds awful. Who is that with?
Hello I have questions, if already buy the share how to sell it because from the tutorial it didn't say how to sell. Please reply thank you😁😁
I apologise, selling is exactly the same as buying, except in the trade ticket there is a an option to choose to buy or sell. Just choose sell. Does that make sense?
Yes thanks very much😁😁😁
Hi bro is it possible to do a video on how to sell and when to sell😅😁
Hi I can’t add stocks to my watchlist
I think you have restricted account. Email customer service and explain you need more permissions
I really liked saxo bank when I started with it,
but I kept running into problems and I don't think I'll be using it much longer
What problems did you have? Maybe it might happen to me
@@AndrewBrownInvesting Sometimes multi-legged option orders bug out,
I tried to sell an Iron Condor (on Visa) and it never got filled. Then I could neither change the price or cancle it, the order just didn't do anything. I also couldn't open new orders on the same ticker, would give me error 90. Order would then disappear on market closing.
Visa was the only ticker I had this problem on so far, but it happened repeatedly.
Other than that problem, there are a few things I'm missing,
Multi-legged option strategies show up as such in the order tab, but once filled all options are listed as single options in the position tab which I have to close individually.
Also I cant find a chart for historical volatility on options.
But I like the research tab

Hi Andrew. May I know how to subscribe real time prices on saxo demo account?
Sorry for writing you, just out of curiosity your page come up on my suggested friend lists so I was just wondering if I knew you from somewhere???
Hi Jessica. I am sorry not to my recollection.

How about you and where are you from?
Hello, what do you think of Tecnicas Reunidas (Spanish stock market)? Right now it is very low and there are voices that say that it can easily double the value of the share from the current 7.30 to €13 or €14, it is dedicated to the realization of the oil and gas industry, everything related to that.
My first thoughts are that looking for a 'double' is a waste of time. If the company can be 10x bigger and 10x more valuable in 10 years, than that is more interesting. So unless you think it's going to grow like this, I don't think it's worth my time. What do you think?
@@AndrewBrownInvesting well, it's strange because the rest of the companies in its sector are already at pre-pandemic levels and Tecnicas Reunidas is not yet, it has had some collection problems that will soon be solved (Teesside case) and this year it will return to normalization, in pre-pandemic, it was above €20, It is not unreasonable that it can go to €13 while right now it is about €7.60
How do they compare to EagleFX?
EagleFX I have no idea about, i would be concerned that it is domiciled in Dominica... Saxo is Denmark and Interactive Brokers is USA. Both with stronger regulations.
I found the price of SAXO is 15 minutes delay than the real time market!!! I can't believe it! You should tell how you sell on this Saxo platform!!!
Hi, Thanks for the question, more than happy to help :). Selling is practically the same as buying a limit order. Just create a trade ticket and choose sell. I then put the price that I want to sell and confirm. I then check the next day to see if it sold. I'm not in a rush, if it doesn't sell that is ok. I just keep the ticket in. It generally sells at some stage. the 15 minute delay in my opinion is meaningless to a long term value investor like me. But I am very interested as to why it could be a problem? Can you explain your concern?
What do you prefer, Saxo or Interactive Brokers?
Interactive Brokers, but I'm happy with my second account with Saxo
Wonderful video dear. I enjoyed watching.😁 New friend here. All done my part.👆🔔 Hope to see you soon.. ☺️
Appreciate the support, I'll check out your videos :)

Is SaxoTraderGo only using CFDs because I want to buy the actual asset not gamble it.
No, don't buy cfd's. Just buy the stocks. Saxo has this
@@AndrewBrownInvesting Hey Andrew. Cheers for getting back to me. I literally just opened my account today and I'm afraid it's a CFD account because it says a warning ...traders with CFDs lose 60% ....having worked in the CFD industry this stat is wrong, it's about 25 to 35 percent higher. So not going near that. So I'm just nervous I place an order and find out I'm using contract instead of the stock. Also what do you think of their managed accounts? I was looking at a medium risk. Any info will be really appreciated.
Connor
@@dunner079 Yes, definitely check its stocks not CFD's. Hopefully you can figure that out. I hate managed accounts. And i don't think this is better than any other. They all suck. Do it yourself :)
@@AndrewBrownInvesting Really cos I was about to throw ten grand at a medium risk account. I want to get an inflation portfolio anybody any ideas? Oh and it's not CFDs thank God! But I read the stats. Medium risk managed account has around 14-15 percent return on value
i am paying 10 USD for every trade if i am buying stocks from New York Stock Exchange, from my Saxo Australia Acc. Is it true that it only cost you 4 USD because your Saxo platform is not registered from Australia (somewhere else?)
well my account is brand new so... maybe it is just im broke XD so thats why they are charging me more ? idk desperate for your reply. Thank you!!!!
Hi, maybe it does have something to do with you being from Australia... I definitely only get charged $4usd. You definitely need to contact Saxo and get them to explain.
Is there any way to short sell on this platform?
I'm not familiar with exactly how, I never short sell companies. But I think saxotrader professional platform would have what you need
Andrew Brown I’ve been looking into and it seems I can only short CFD’s, not sure if I need to open a professional acc. Thanks though!
Love the saxo market call podcast but just can't justify trade fee vs self wealth app or commbank. I know the local options are limited vs trade type so comparison not 50:50. Thanks for your info!
You are exactly right. The options make a difference. For example, with saxo I can trade in the small cap japanese market, which sounds strange but even just one amazing investment is worth it.
But halifax was big and stable? (cries into blanket) what is the difference?
Yeah Halifax wasn't big enough. They were a small company not acting as the actual broker. Rather a middle man between clients and brokers. They didn't own the software. Saxo bank is backed by the Denmark and Singapore government and they are custodians. Interactive brokers is even better in my opinion. Fees are better and they are a public traded company where I can see the financial stability of the company.
@@AndrewBrownInvesting ok thanks - this ticks a box for me.
How do i set up the dividend reinvestment plan
Hi, so when a dividend is going to be paid to you, Saxo will send you a notification of "corporate action event" go into the corporate actions section, and the event will be right there. Click on the event and you will be able to elect what option you would like to take. Most of the time, the option is to either receive the dividend as cash or reinvest the dividend. Make sure you elect one of these options. And that is it.
When the dividend is issued, you will either get more shares, or cash.
@@AndrewBrownInvesting in both cases, the withholding tax for the dividend will get deducted, right? Means you get a reduced amount of shares, comparable to the cash amount...
At the moment i have pro but its 20min delay
Do you mean prices are 20min delay?
@@AndrewBrownInvesting yes i am on a 20min delay on my price updates. i actually did a little digging and found out you have to pay a monthly subscription to trade a live market
Is there a minimum deposit?
Overnight fees?
Yes 10k last time I checked. But it depends what country you are from
@@AndrewBrownInvesting thanks appreciate
😊
78k available. Damn.
That was not suppose to be visible... Haha good spotting
You did not show about you had bought share and you sold it to make a profit or loss
I do not quite understand your concern? Can you explain what you wanted to see? If you are referring to trading to make short term profit. That is not my style. I invest in companies for long periods of time.
How we can leverage?
Well you can if you have collateral... But I don't think anyone needs leverage
does SAXO charge you if you dont use it?
Yes, but it's a yearly inactivity fee. So you only have to do something each year, which is likely i think. So don't get too concerned. I also did a video about comparing different brokerage accounts, if you want to look at that video I break down the fees in more detail. ua-cam.com/video/_Utm1rMBwBs/v-deo.html

Is it worth it for day trading ?
Definitely not (in my opinion)

@@kostasrokas486 50k is fine with saxo. Just don't day trade there
400k in account, impressive
