Awesome!!!great review!! I been collecting gijoe stuff on and off 4 years. I owned the space capsule as a kid but it was the Adventure team joe with the blond flocked hair that came with it. It had the capsule,figures, record and space suit. What I wanna say is I never saw this set with just the space suit. Would’ve been nice just to have another joe in suit wo buying another capsule set. I’m serious this is the first time im seeing or hearing about this set!! So thank you my friend for the heads up and review of this cool joe set. Thank you
A few months ago I got an original 1966 3 zipper jump suit ( which means it’s the first issue one that goes with the capsule ) my brother got the 1966 space capsule
I recently saw the absolutely rare ( the gi joe space man with the rocket pack and camera satellite set ) for sale ( only jacket and pack were found ) just look up gi joe space
That is excellent display my friend holy smokes and I love the monologue but you have to remember there were three different types of capsules in 1966 was the first type that would be the the Gemini and they switched it after 66 because that was the cabinet that killed the astronauts if you remember henna design after that is different and also the suit is White Fire number from 70 on well done

The port on the capsule was for a short communication line to the helmut of the suit that came with the capsule playset.
one year after i was born i did have GI Joe but not sure which one must of gotten it 69 or 70.

you are correct. The 66 version resembles Major Anthony Nelson's splash down in the introductory cartoon of I dream of Jeannie.
