I just did this job in under 5 minutes. You don't have to remove all that front end stuff or even the headlight. I have the same car. Just remove the air cleaner cover and then the two plastic buttons on the furthest right. They're easy to identify because they are on the air vent. Pop them out and pull the vent up. Now stick your hand in and unscrew the bulb and PULL. Replace the bulb and PUSH. Got it? 2 buttons furthest right Air cleaner cover Unscrew bulb and PULL Replace bulb and PUSH n turn. Cheers!
Wow all that trouble just to change signal lightbulb, I did my headlights wasn't that difficult but thank you for your video it going to help me a lot.
Thank you for video, in fact there’s 2 types of bulbs from Sylvania you can use. Also some comments said that you can do it without taking out the light, I hoped it works, but I had to go through removing parts, the only thing didn’t have to remove the assembly completely, I just needed it to move, so I can remove the faulty bulb, saved me some time and worries about putting it back. Great video, liked it very much, probably great if you really want to remove front lights assembly for any reason, thank you again
Very late to the video, but I just finished doing this today, and as others have said you don't need to remove any parts from front of the the vehicle aside from the intake duct. The main problem is that the radiator housing ever so slightly blocks the lamp holder (so you can't just pull it out directly). Instead, you'll need to unscrew the two topmost bolts holding on the headlight assembly so you can move it upwards enough that the lamp holder can be pulled out. You may also need a pair of pliers to turn the lamp housing, as they were bit stiff and in an awkward place to turn with your hands. Also, MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT BULBS! I have a 2013 Kia Rio and the Sylvania 7507 bulbs did not fit, despite the fact that sites like AutoZone said they did. The bulbs in the car had two contacts on the bottom, and the two little metal tabs that hold it in the lamp holder were at 180 degrees from each other. The 7507 bulbs had just one contact and the metal tabs were at a different angle, and thus could not be slotted into the lamp holder. Instead, the Sylvania 2357A bulbs would have been the right ones.
Thanks for the video.....Its Ridiculous that you have to do all that just to change the bulb. How Crazy is this?.... Your blinker went out lets take the whole front end apart and remove the entire light housing just to pop the light out. Its NUTZ!! KIA is so fired for this. I tried to do it without taking it all apart. i was able to get my small hand in there and twist it with a pliers. But it wouldnt come out. It really is covered, ended up having to take the whole thing apart like you showed us.
Thank you for showing how to access the light assembly and access the different light bulbs! I thought it odd there was so little space to access the lights on both passenger and driver side on my Kia Rio 5 hatch EX. I upgraded the marker lights and DRL lights to LEDs, so they last longer and kept the turn signals and both high/low beams analog but opted for whiter lights.
Last time my girlfriend’s bulb went out she took it to multiple auto shops who couldn’t figure out how to do it.Took it to the Kia dealership who charged her $150 and made her wait two hours. Just happened again and I decided to check into it, can’t believe they pulled that crap on her.

The light can be a challenging to take out if it’s the first time. Thank you for the video. It mostly certainly helped!

How do you get the passenger side assembly?
7:30 those nails bro. lol
I have a 2016 Rio and its ridiculous what you need to do to change a bulb. Next car i go to buy if it's like this I'm not buying it!
Does this work for 06 Kia rios?
What’s that tool called?
You never touch a replacement bulb with your bare hands, no matter what. Always use a rag.
Why? It doesn’t matter
@@RR-ln6vs Yes it does. It burns out faster. Common knowledge.
Dork
WHAT?????????????? Seriously????
Thanks for your help!!
