    Thomas,
    Yes, I would think one would eventually want a real flatbed sewing machine. Maybe starting out with a collapsible table teaches you to truly appreciate a flatbed. :)

    Hi Lisa . I figured out my machine needle , The guy that owned it before me had the needle in crooked I have that tuned now I still have to look at the big Tension spool though .

      +Lisa Sorrell Have you ever ran across that on the big tension spool the spring loops turn or weaken when it's adj
      normally it just frees the thread .

      Are you asking if I've ever experienced a spring that weakens and wears out? I haven't. If you're having issues like that, my first guess would be that perhaps the tension parts aren't put back together properly.

      +Lisa Sorrell There's 2 loops the keep the thread snug as the upper pitman arm pulls the thread on the big dial has a dial to lift and lower the loops never seen that before in 38 yrs of sewing

    George,
    That totally depends on which part of it you're trying to repair. What is broken?

      I don't have one and haven't used one, but Pfaff is usually a pretty good quality machine.

    Hello Lisa. I purchased a post bed is 810, looks very very similar to yours. However having trouble shooting issues, my thread keeps getting caught around the bobbin case, I have done everything from changing needle, to buying better thread to taking apart and removing dust, I can’t find any videos on issues with this type of machine, Is there any way you can help me figure out what the issue is. It does it sometimes and sometimes it don’t, but more often gets caught.

    • @customboots
      @customboots  3 роки тому

      That's tough to try and diagnose, but the first question I'd ask is: Are you using the correct needle system? Also, are you using the correct bobbin or bobbin style if it's a pre-wound?

    • @TSIMONE
      @TSIMONE 3 роки тому

      @@customboots the company I purchased from supplied me with needles and bobbins. I wounded bobbins myself. Tried reaching out to company for questions or trouble shooting recommendations but that was a fail.😔😩

      @@TSIMONE If I were you, I would confirm you have the correct needle system and the correct bobbin style for your particular brand/model of machine.
      Also, make sure you put the needle in correctly. The side with the groove goes away from the bobbin; the side with the flat spot goes on the bobbin side.

      @@customboots oh my gosh.. i wonder is that the issue. I have groove towards bobbin.

    • @TSIMONE
      @TSIMONE 3 роки тому

      @@customboots I will let you know if that was my issue.. thanks for your time and effort😘

    Hi Lisa, what is max. thk. of material & max. thread # can I use on this machine?
    Thanks_Vahan

    • @customboots
      @customboots  9 років тому

      Vahan Galdjian I haven't really played with the upper limits of this machine. My guess would be size 69 (TEX 70) thread, size 16 needle, and 1/4" thickness of material. It's not a machine for really heavy work.

      Lisa Sorrell Hi, thanks for info. I'm also looking "Techsew 810" post bed similar to "Artisan 5110" & don't know which one good for me. I appreciate if you give me some advice. Have "Consew 205RB-1" walking foot, but prefer to have roller foot for more control (trying to sew leather bags).
      Thanks_Vahan

      @customboots  9 років тому

      Vahan Galdjian The Techsew 810 and the Artisan 5110 look like they're basically the same machine. I was pretty close on my guesses for the minimum and maximum thickness, thread, and needle size.
      Specifications:Sewing Capacity: 5/16" Roller foot clearance: 3/8"Post-bed height: 7" Stitch length adjustment 5-25 Stitches per Inch (1-5mm) Needles: 135x5 #11-21 Thread Sizes: #23 to #70
