Возможно потому что ставили ставки на то, что тренд на "russian dolls" будет не долгим. Учитывая то, что после того как золотая эра супер-молелей 90-х была объявлена закрытой , новая эра на словянок в индустрии стала очень неожиданной. И никто не мог сказать как долго они останутся на рынке. А американские модели - всегда тут, всегда под боком. + Много тех, кто получил статус "супер-модели" являются не просто моделями, но ещё и светятса на телике, и прокачивают свою медийность. Хотя я полностью с вами согласна, многие модели заслуживают статус "супер-модель"

They weren't that skinny actually. They were just tall. The longer the body the leaner you look.
I remember when one of the fashion weeks banned her because of her anorexia.
Which was absolutely ridiculous because there were a lot of models who were as skinny or even skinnier than her, aka Freja, Natasha, Snejana, Anja Rubik, Chanel Iman etc. I thought it was so unfair.
She wasn't anorexic they banned her for another reasons.
