Hiking Iceland's LARGEST Glacier // Vatnajokull Ice Cap
Вставка
- Опубліковано 31 лип 2024
- Today, we hike a glacier! This glacier tongue is called Falljökull, which means "falling glacier", and the name of the icecap of this entire area is called Vatnajökull. Join us as we cramp up, hike up, and do our best not to trip up while being guided on our slipperiest hike yet. Would you do this?

Drones at Vatnajökull: In order to have a drone permit, you're technically supposed to contact the national park well beforehand - so we were unable to attain that at the last minute - but just so you know, if you're planning to capture some gorgeous footage!

Thanks for watching! Hope you have an amazing trip!
Brilliant 🤩 guys ! Keep up the good work !! It would be really nice if you could also put the cost there n then !! Though very informative
04:38 timestamp gives you a cost example for the hike & lagoon tour combo package, which is what we did ☺️ hope that helps! thanks for watching!
If you’re looking for an entire cost breakdown of our trip, we list everything in our “Ultimate Guide to Iceland” video - linked in the description, above! 😄
Thanks for sharing this journey!! I've been nervous about the equipment fitting, so I loved that you said they were able to get you one that works, that makes me feel so much better! Can't wait to watch the rest! 😍
Yes!! I hadn’t heard anyone talk about gear fits (or seen any plus-sized folk document Iceland travels, honestly!) so I wanted to share; I’m so glad it’s helpful! When are you taking a trip?!
@@kyleandmiranda We are going in March of 23!! I'm nervous as Floridians about how cold we will be but, yolo 😂😂
Haha! Hopefully it’s so beautiful that you don’t even think about the cold 😅 Have an amazing time!!
Love the detailed commentary and footage. This is personally encouraging. Thank you. (Going in June!)
This is helpful and kind feedback, thanks so much! Hoping you have an AMAZING trip next month!!
@@kyleandmiranda I forgot to mention my favorite thing about your video is the candidness. It reminds of the Honest Guide for Prague that I followed when I was planning our trip there :) Kudos to you both!
@@glendashultz oh that’s great to hear, thank you! Now I want to look into that Honest Guide to Prague… we appreciate giving and seeing an honest take on things 😄
You found amazing places in the video, as if they came from the most beautiful fairy tales. The trail and the surroundings are simply perfect for hiking.
Iceland ought to be a fairytale land, in general! We agree, they’re perfect for hiking 🙌🏼✨
Is this the last Iceland video? Hope to see more :)
There are more coming! About 4 or 5 Iceland videos left 🤓 We’ve just taken a few weeks off to pursue a current endeavor. (🚐👀) Thanks for watching!!
Amazing series thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching, Lisa!
Beautiful scenery, loved it! New subscriber here :)
Thanks for the sub & comment! Your page looks fun, just followed back!
Love all of the videos! Hoping you will finish the series?
What month were you there? My husband and I are going this coming September. We will have a week there and plan on Golden Circle, South Coast, and Snaeffelsness peninsula.
Thank you! We have taken a break but the series will continue next week, about 4-5 more videos to come. 🙂 We actually went in September of 2021! It’s a great time to go. Sounds like a good itinerary you have, we never got to the peninsula or the west fjords - that would be amazing!
