Переглядів 55Рік тому
Before we found our Ford Transit van... Kyle's first vehicle was a white '99 Chevy Astro van, which he quickly spraypainted with friends and dubbed THE RAINBOW RIDER... and this was our introduction to #vanlife! We may have only been part-time vanlifers, but we definitely got a taste for some light renovations, long travel days, and van camping, before ultimately having to resign her to the van...

BRYCE CANYON IN ONE DAY // How to do it!
Living in a border city I take for granted access to Canada, so it's nice to see the excitement and enthusiasm you both had 😊
Aww thank you! It seems like the closer/more access we have to things, the easier it can be to take for granted, since it feels like you can just go - even if you don’t 😅 thx for watching!
Happy, happy 🥳🎂🍾🥂 Nice montage!
Aww, thank you! ☺️🎉🫶🏼
I know this was two years ago but it still gets under my skin that you were so upset by people not wearing masks. It’s our choice not to wear masks, and your choice to wear a mask, so clam down
Solid video and I love the vibe you guys give off. Please keep putting out content.
That's so nice, thank you! We have another Iceland series coming in the future, among other things... Just forever playing catch-up 😅 Hope you stick around!
Promo_SM 😇
Great video
Thanks so much!
Just bout a claim in idaho
Idaho was a great place to explore 😄
I was like, wait I’ve seen it built out though!! It looks great :) I would probably do it myself, knowing full well I would regret it later 😂
🤣🤣 so weird to see it empty!! Haha 😂 and bravo to you for being willing to give it a go! 😅😅
@@kyleandmiranda 😁
This thumbnail looks like we're in a mine! 🤣 it's really just us wearing headlamps in the van with shitty lighting while measuring layouts 🤪
Anyone catch what year this was *actually* filmed in? (Hint: the email and facebook dates!) Heheh... yeah, we're a little backlogged. 🙈 BUT STILL. Which would YOU choose?! 🤔
😂
Was that Wildcat Den? I think that same cat was there last November.
Oh funny! No, this was up in Maquoketa at the Caves State Park, I believe
Im 1:23 in and you guys are too funny x 🖐️🖐️🖐️
😂🙏🏼 thanks friend! We had fun really hammin’ it up 🙃🙃
They are a hoot!!!
Aw shucks, thanks Abe & Mel! 🤓
Omg! Are you guys from the Quad Cities? I found your vlog when my husband and I were planning a trip to Iceland last September. Anyway, small world. We live in Coal Valley. :) I completely understand it being hard to let go and waiting for the right time. And congratulations on your new van! Many happy adventures await for you!
WHAT! That's amazing! What gave it away? (There were several clues to choose from, haha 😄) We were living in Moline at the time of filming, but I (Miranda) grew up in Geneseo. So glad to see a fellow QC-er here! I hope you had an excellent Iceland trip!!
@kyleandmiranda Yeah, at the beginning of the video, I thought, hmm that bridge looks familiar? So I paused and saw the sign. Lol. Of course then Dahl Ford, etc. ;) We had an amazing trip to Iceland! And your videos were super helpful. We loved them. :) Congratulations again on living your dreams.
Hey!! The van series begins! 😊 aww the moment you got the van 🥰
Finally, haha!!! 🙏🏼😅 thanks for watchin’, pals!!
Serious dream destination!!!! Ps y’all look like you had tooo much fun!!
Who doesn’t love a good hot spring!? Haha, thanks!
Wow 🤩 #iceland ❤
Amazing 🤩 video ❤🎉😊
🌋 ❤wow 😊

Love this! So cute!!! “We’ll save a seat for you”. Hehe that reminds me of “we’ll leave the light on for yah!😂”
I didn’t even realize; it’s kinda like the motel slogan! LOL maybe we have a future in hospitality 🤣🤣
Awesome 👏 video ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Is The Blue Lagoon on your travel destination bucket list? ♨
Thank you , good info for our up coming trip ❤
We hope you have an amazing time!!
Thank you for all the details about hiking, we will do the same hikes and rush over to the glacier lake . So informative ❤
Thanks for watching! Hope you have an amazing trip!
Have you heard of the Golden Circle? Which would you be most interested in: local farm-to-table food, a famous hot spring, or a leisurely hike somewhere unique? 🤔
That’s tooooo funny! 😂😂😂
RIGHT 💀💀💀
Soi dominicana casada de asen 18 años con un boricua las dos islas se paresen bastantes
That’s lovely! The Caribbean is just so beautiful. We would love to visit the D.R. some day!
🥰🥰🥰🥰
Underrated
Love my island. 🇵🇷❤️🔥
Thanks for sharing it with us! 😍🙌🏼
“Slight funk”🤣I want to rent a van to try out van life but I am such a germaphobe so I don’t know if I can do it. I would need to bring my own pillows and sheets…and cups, dishes, utensils…or maybe just use disposable kitchenware. And I guess good hair days are not possible if the van gets steamed up every night? And I would need lots of change for my 20 minute shower. Very good info…thanks for showing everything 😀👍
Hahaha! Right?? 😂😂 it’s so important to know yourself and your comfort zone vs what you can sacrifice! It definitely takes some adjusting 😅👌🏻
Thanks for the thorough review
Great video! May I ask which dates in September you guys went on the trip? Thank you.
Thanks! This trip was Sept 16-27, 2021. The weather was mostly great! (Spoiler: we also went back recently in 2022, so we will be posting that series, too!)
😇 Promo*SM!
What would your tiny decor of choice be? We personally love our “fireplace” and the stockings!
Wow! You got ads?!
So the funny thing about ads here, is that YT can play ads if your video is doing well, but *they* keep the revenue… unless you’re eligible for monetization - which we *almost* are! 🙃
Greetings,Kyle!thanks. you made epic .talk you later, :)
Will be whale watching from Dalvik next June…can’t wait!!!!
Oooooh yay! It's an underrated and less busy spot, for sure - so excited for you!!
well - less busy with *people* - the whales are definitely there!
Nice
Nice vlog. It’s really worth visiting this country. I recently visited Iceland and it was wonderful.
Isn’t it spectacular?! Thanks for sharing!
you guys are the cutest!
💛💛💛!
Great video. Thanks for all the info. I am headed to Iceland with my adult daughter at the end of September to "toor" the ring road. I have one question. You mention a wifi hotspot and I've seen others talk about that too. We have iPhones and will have a travel data plan through Verizon. I may also get an eSim plan through Arialo. We will be staying in hotels every night. I assume most people have data on their phones. What is the advantage of getting a wifi hotspot? Thanks again for taking the time to make this video
If you have travel data and a SIM you’re probably good to go - we got a hotspot because we didn’t add international data!
Can you use credit card with chip and signature card in gas stations, campground ?
Yes, you can use credit card - it’s actually really easy to just use a card during the whole trip 😆 you just want to make sure you use one that has a PIN, and check with your bank for any foreign transaction fees. (Those can really add up!)
I'm watching all the videos and plan to go in April! What dates did you travel there? I can't find that info and I'm sure I missed it lol
That’s so exciting! We went in September 2021 ☺️
@@kyleandmiranda Thank you! I literally just sat and watched all 8 videos!! Sooooo cool!!!!
@@QyeraP08 😮😮😮 wow, thank you for watching!! We still have more to put up, so we hope you stick around!
I am loving this Iceland saga! Awesome videos and so real, thank you for sharing this adventure, me and my fiance are already planning our honeymoon next year on November and Iceland was the to-go spot! I related a lot with your concerns in the first video (me also being a big chubby and the fiance a big bear), it's so authentic seeing that more people have the same worries that we have about some activities, we will most definitely be doing the Glacier Walk :D Waiting for the next videos of the trip! Have a nice journey!
Thank you so much!! I felt a responsibility to say something about physicality, because you see a lot of the same body types out doing these things. But fat people can travel, be active, and sport, too! 😄 I hope you have an AMAZING time on the glacier, it’s so pretty up there! Happy honeymooning ☺️
Was the amphibian boat very load?
It was a little bit loud, from what I can recall!
p̲r̲o̲m̲o̲s̲m̲
Wow I think this is the best travel guide I have seen so far for Iceland! Very well thought out and informative. Thank you so much for making this
Thanks for watching! There's a lot to planning the trip of a lifetime, we figured we would share what we would've wanted to see when planning!
This has been the most thorough vid ive watched thus far so thank you! Leave solo from the states in less than 2 weeks!
There is just so much to Iceland, so there’s a lot to say! So glad it helped! And EEEEEEEEH have a wonderful trip!! It’s such a special place!
