A wonderful and haunting song from Suzanne Vega's new album ''Lover, Beloved : Songs From An Evening With Carson McCullers'' ... Thanks to Olga Raphaeleva. I recommend her post : • Video S
I have always LOVED the work of Carson McCullers and have always felt like "the outsider", the "different" person--the square peg in the round hole. I also love how Suzanne Vega captures Carson's spirit in these songs. I wish I had gotten the chance to see the show. I think Carson would love how Suzanne captured her spirit.
Thank you so much for uploading this beautiful song (which I just discovered here on YT) and the beautiful photographs, both moving memories of Annemarie Schwarzenbach, the close friend of Erika and Klaus Mann (and of Carson McCullers, who loved her).
Thank you for your kind comment, I am glad you enjoyed it. I discovered Annemarie Schwarzenbach and Carson McCullers thanks to Suzanne Vega few years ago. She was a fascinating person...
Suzanne Vega's music has been a comfort to me in a lifetime of non-conformity, emotional pain and isolation.
Love your music from Libya..
