I would've never thought Aaron Martens uses a Uni-knot to tie his drop-shot rig. Of course Aaron is The Man for drop-shot tips and I will of course give this Uni-knot a try. The only time I use the Uni-knot is for spooling my reels, it's a good slip knot. I know the ocean guys use the back-to-back Uni-knot for tying the Top-shot, so we know it's a strong knot. And I think the Uni-knot is a strong knot than the Palomar knot, that most of us use for our drop-shot rigs.

Does anyone know what size hook that is? I bought some gamagatsu swivel dropshot hooks 1/0 and they are a lot smaller than other 1/0 hooks. The one he has actually looks 1/0.

i think he's using a heavy cover hook not the drop shot version of the hook. but i know what you are talking about with regards to hook size, the drop shot hook will be smaller
