Make sure you show or give your dad that extra love, no matter how old you are, they are always around giving their child that extra hands of theirs. I miss my father, RIP dad.
Soon as my dad comes back from the store it's on. They must be real busy its been 20 years
@@crazytrucker2376 Sometimes its' for the best, there are some really fucked up dads that didn't flee and growing up with a single mom is usually preferable to these situations.
That is so true about that my brother I miss my dad to
Agree
@@6582rg Tim was like Braxton what did you do to my freightliner
I have to say your dad is a good man, always right there to fix the problem nice and honest man
Like chuck said... Give your dad a hug for all of us that lost our dads.
God bless our Dads 💕💯💪

Those Orange one's should be named Game Changer 1 and Game Changer 2!
Holy crap .50 cent a mile . Well that's just bending a guy over the barrel and breaking it off in them for that kinda pay you aren't making much . And I know you said that's where you start . But I start at that pay 10 years ago.
I thought that too if you get stuck in a traffic jam etc you are going too starve!
You know you're in it when you resort to "sweet talk" and negotiating with your rig to make it home... And it's amazing how many times it works. 😋
Starting to wonder how he sweet talks his wife. Throw the kitchen sink at the issue or negotiate from the conservative side.
I want percentage on those million dollar boats 😉.
Just because the boats are $1 million it doesn’t mean he gets paid $1 million to Haul them. I’ve had $250,000 cars that only pay $1000 to move so yeah that’s just not how that works
@@jasonlukasik5595 so I can I broker a load for a 1 million dollar boat 2000 miles for $1000.
Your phone must be ringing off the hook.
My truck don’t move for less than $4 a mile.
I don’t haul boats.
Been around the block few times wink.
Got few horses in the drive myself.
If that’s oversize for a grand. Your phone is really ringing off the hook.
Edit: we are in a down turn. Later I might be begging for that grand. Great videos thanks for sharing.
Right load planner/dispatcher solid customers in those trucks. Percentage even in the down turn. But most will disagree with me.
Going to reply to myself like a idiot.
Brings up a interesting topic.
Does he cut the rate to keep customers?
Or(bad English grammar) does he pocket the difference or pass it to driver?
My gut is telling me he cuts the rate and runs a cheap overhead and works towards volume.
Cheaper pay but guarantees work.
Walmart founders way.
Good strategy but like always maybe I’m wrong.
When my rig worked I Dubbed it Pegasus but when the brake down looms I call it the antichrist
Tim, those kinda drivers are few and far between anymore. When I had my company I was damn fortunate to be able to hire a lot of multi platform drivers that would pull any trailer I had (RGN, Flatbed, End and side dump, etc) plus be able to operate any type of heavy machinery..
If only he had a way to advertise to the masses he's looking for specific type of driver and pick a premium level driver
Many a driver has had to sweet talk a rig. That brought a smile to my face
Aside from Cabovers, I love those FLD Freightliners. Good old trucks.
I’m a Pete guy all day long but I love these FLDs I don’t blame you for watching to keep it to yourself and I’d probably due the same
And. I thoroughly enjoy the sound of a 12/71....
Due respect to last comment. No doubt you and your son love Dad! I love/miss the life/enjoyment share to me
Just got my permit and Hurricane Ian just smashed my entire city up. So now I am waiting for the word on when I can start the school. I'm paying for all of this on my own too. I've always loved trucks and your videos gave me that extra motivation to actually go out and get my CDL. So thank you for that. Hopefully things get back to normal around here soon.
Tim a big congratulations to you your family and the team keep it trucking and keep growing 🎉🎉🎉
Awesome addition to your fleet..as happy as you are to watch your company grow ..great pitch at the end looking for drivers and stating your work philosophy and ethics.. continued success on your journey 😇🇺🇸🔧
If it were me I'd build a bracket just behind that drier and make a shield so it won't get road splattered while driving in wet and snow.. it does help the drier last just a little longer.. also those driers are rebuildable..
I noticed that failed drier was rebuilt in 2015. It lasted well.
An FLD with a series 60 is a direct path to profit in trucking.
Man I wish I could drive truck because I'd definitely love to drive for you. Mad respect.
I was always thought.. Look after the small things, and the big things will take of themselves ! Hence.. How a 50c washer can bring a monster motor to its knees.. Loving the new truck guys, It’s so good that you are keeping theses American icons rolling on down the road 🇮🇪🦅🇺🇸🚛💨
Now that's one slick FLD! Between this and the cabover I'm so tempted to come over to Gentry and Sons !!
Hey Tim. Love that Freight shacker. I got my class A back in 1981 in a Ole Long Nose Freightliner. Big cam 400 Cummins with a 10 speed. Those were some good days. Keep up the good work and God Bless.
I watch a lot of other channels but you explain everything so simply.
Can’t wait to hear what you guys have going once your brokerage is up and going.
Just love me some FLD! When they are kept clean they are one clean looking truck
That truck is lucky to have a new papa like you.
Congratulations 👋.

Loving these 3 back to back videos!
Another great video !!! The old FLD is a good looking truck . And I am really going to love it, when you get the stacks on it and it is going to look awesome when you all get it all decked out .
I am hoping that everything continues to keep going so great for you all, the new
(old ) trucks are going to be a great addition to the fleet .
Take care and stay safe out there working on the trucks and putting the pedal to the metal moving down the highway .
🤗👍❤️💫
Thanks for the video I enjoyed watching it keep them coming and be safe out there on the road
I like the way you look past all the little dents and dings, the bent up bumper and see all the possibility of and older truck.
I drove a1998 Freightliner almost exactly like this one, had air in the sleeper, twin 6inch chrome stacks and 18 speed and a Detroit, absolutely loved that truck. I say you keep it for yourself.
Gracias por los videos Tim. Bonito tu FLD 120.
yes put a driver in it
Keep your Pete give me that FLD with the Detroit all day long. 50 cents a mile to start is a good rate 2000 miles a week which is easy is a $1000 bucks a week you won't start anywhere for that. Getting veteran drivers will be a little tough. When I did livestock we got paid by the day $300 and that was good money.
Hello guys always like your shows and the way you do things. Really proud to see how your son takes to working with you side by side. Good young man. I seen your heading says your looking for a driver. I've got 35 plus years experience.
Wish I lived down there. I would apply. Awesome trucks. U would be a great boss. keep up the great work guys.
That's was one of the first truck I learned how to drive and then my road test brings back lot's of memories
First truck I ever drove was a 1991 FLD120. I was somewhere around 10-12 years old. My grandpa let me pull forward from the dock to close the doors while he chatted with the shipper. Fell in love with trucking.
Love that blue truck good luck with the trucks see you soon
This truck definitely has the look!!
kudos to you for maintaining a high standard for hiring your drivers! After all a bad driver can damage your reputation and business which is yours to maintain!
Great video, as I love seeing the old school trucks like you have there. This video of the fld you just bought and the IH Cabover you have bring back memories for me as I have been fortunate enough to have operated both in my days of driving!
If I were younger and able to drive I would love to be able to drive for you as you have set the bar high for the kind of elite driver that you want to put in your equipment!
thank you for your contribution to the trucking industry and please maintain that high bar you set for hiring the kind of driver that will only enhance your business!
Take Care And God Bless!
That bumper is pretty much the only one I like on FLD's . Your fleet is getting nice with the addition of the argosies. Keep up the progress!
Put a drop axle on the blue FLD and floater tires up front and keep it for your heavy haul stuff with the RGN that's what I would do. Keep up the great work guys and stay blessed
Great seeing all these videos coming so quickly, really appreciate it Timmy 👍
Wish I was younger I sure would love to drive for you your smart - kind - great family man don’t ever change love your channel ! 68 retired auto shop owner always wanted to drive a big truck - you have a great son !
Love and enjoy the channel and video’s alway’s remember to do what you love and what makes you happy 😊😊😊
You have some great videos enjoy them Can't wait till the next one👍🚛NC
Do you remember a trucking company called Topco?
Keep it coming bro, really looking forward to the w900 restoration vid
In great shape for a old truck that! Sure it will give great service on your fleet Tim! Sure you will have the right man for it in your team of drivers and give new starter one of the other fleet trucks!
Pretty good old Truck's drove one for a while back in the day only trouble I had was the Brakes would stick a little but never had any trouble with that Detroit engine .
Don’t feel bad! I got a 2023 Volvo vnl 860 auto trans.
Transmission started leaking at 7k miles and had to put it in shop get it fixed . Warranty toke care of it but loss revenue for few days . You are on right track with your family, keep on trucking driver
Congratulations 👋.

Great job showing and telling, hope you find a good driver like me one day. Keep on trucking see ya next time see ya bye.
Old Truck's beings back some good memories 10/4!!!
The hardwood floor is a classy touch 👍👍
Wish I had found your company when I was driving, would love to drive for you. I love trucks, love taking pride in my work and truck. I have been known to pay out of my own pocket to wash a company truck. I can tell you all are good people Tim, God bless you all.
I admire what you do I love truck's I'm retired military and I use to drive trucks never commercial wish I did now at 61 probably not a good idea but I can definitely understand being picky about drivers your business is important especially for the next generation for your family if that makes sense definitely gonna subscribe
Now your talking!!!! That truck is in great condition. That’s when Freightliner actually built good trucks. Love those FLD’s.
That’s my luck break down on the way home. I bought a brand new Gatormade trailer and one of the plastic hubs busted and came off going down the interstate. Thank God for potato salad and duct tape 😂
Awesome video Tim appreciate the channel buddy 👍
In my opinion FLD is the best truck ever made. They ride good, maneuver decent, and look good.
I definitely think the FLD would look super awesome with side stacks. I wish I didn’t live in Kentucky I would love to drive for you. The cab over would be my dream ride
love FLD's last one I drove had double hopper bottoms, 40' main and a 28' pup legal weight was 105,500 hauled 71k pounds of dry fertilizer or grain in the PNW. Miss driving lost my medical card in January after 13 years lung issues from the service. Love the new cab overs you got also. I see them hauling hay here in oregon. Keep up the good vids
Tim Like those cab overs you got and the Peterbilt is a cream puff, good luck with the new trucks you and Brax are going places.
Hey Tim awesome videos congrats on the new trucks I'm from North Carolina I love driving older trucks it's tough finding jobs around here considering all I know is driving
The one you're driving is probably one of the best ones you got those trucks are really comfortable to drive and easy especially if you got 10 speed over they seem to last for a long time and that's exactly what you want wish I had the young guy I've already been driving for 30 years I think that's enough
Man. Your a good dude. Hotshot world hasn't been near this professional.
Always a great time when Gentry & Sons uploads!!!! Amazing new rigs btw Tim!
That fld is the nicest truck I've seen in a long time. Ive not seen a truck with that aesthetic before.. its like a mini peter. Super lucky to have that beast. ( made this comment before all the alarms started going off...ut oh)
Badass Bullet!! Keep Vids Coming!!!!
SO MANY OPTIONS TIM Geez what to choose what to choose WHAT TO CHOOSE
good job tim and braxton them cab overs are the best, fld and pete, wilson just got 379 and cat 3406 e engine and truck
Love those FLD freightliners ! Especially the flat tops
Don't give up on the Peterbilt it's a beautiful truck
Thanks for the video man.as far as the trucks go I'd keep the white cabover and that blue frieghtliner for your self.the white cab over is my favorite truck out of all yalls right now.i just really like International's and cabovers
TIMMY YOU MAKE ME LOL THE WAY YOU TALK TO YOUR TRUCKS...BUT YOU ARE NOT ALONE...WE ALL DO IT...
That FLD reminds me of my 99 FLD car hauler I had. Has almost the same chrome pieces and chicken lights and grass burner. I would drive that FLD with the 3 car hauler you got and I’ll feel at home and 21 again. Seriously!!
Esta genial ese freightliner 😀👍💪💪💪. Excelente video Señor Tim. Muchas felicidades saludos.💪😄🥳
🔝🔝🔝 Congratulations 🎊 you have been selected among my shortlisted winners 🎁🎁🎁
Dm to claim prize Congrats 🎊 🎊🔝👆
Keep up the good work to all of you great but you guys did god bless you all
@Gentry&SonsTrucking Yall might think I am crazy but I really like the look with the grass burnner pipes. Say byby Pete and keep this baby.
I'm loving that little blue FLD freightliner.
Would love to get my hands on that and bring it up to Canada and put it to work.
Just have a museum for all the trucks you buy. You love them all.
looks good, now to get it load ready
Man I need to get my cdl. I’d love the older trucks. I bet we’d get along so well. I can talk about trucks forever
I run a FLD that looked just like that but had double bunk. 525hp 12.7 and had side pipes. It was an awesome truck.
This blue metallic FLD is Beautiful, put it on the Over Size jobs with the Peterbuilt and the Cabover for shows right
On the new freightliner put you some 6 or 7 inch miter cut stacks if can't put up by cab then behind cab keep cabover for you or if you do put driver in fld find southern loads for it for winter time
Hi Tim offer it to your operator's you have had for awhile first and then put a new operator in it I'm sure you have one that will treat it right already in your company and congratulations on your growth and success in the truck industry and family type of business and keep it up
Hey Tim, you mentioned you had a stepdad too. Not sure but I hope your real dad is the one we see always on here. He’s such a cool pops & grandpa too! Our country needs more dads keeping their kids in check. Y’all keep up the great work 💪
"I hope your real dad is the one we see"
That's a little messed up.
A father is more then a sperm donor and step fathers have a hard job walking into a family that's already done.
Everything can be a comparison. Anything can turn into " you can't tell me what to do" etc.
It's hard to get that respect that a biological father instantly gets even if their not in the picture.
Think twice before you talk and make it seem like you believe a step dad wouldn't act like the gentleman does in the videos and that you hope that someone acting that way is a real father. ...not cool.⁵
@@gartan8449 I have to agree here. I was raised by my " stepdad ". My " real dad " was there for me too. I got lucky and have good parents all around, so to me they are both my real dad's.
You know Tim, if I was a driver, I'd be honored to work in one of your trucks knowing it is well taken care of and that you're not bullshitting me about the truth of getting honest good people to work for you. I really like the interior of that FLD, I never would expect a truck like that to have a wooden floor or be a nice blue color. You sweet talking the dryer valve was cute and gave me an honest chuckle especially when I heard Braxton getting a fun laugh out of it and you giving a really sweet smile
Sweet truck. To bad I'm in the UK I'd be knocking on your door. Seriously I just wish we had trucks like this over here so much character and presence. Keep it up guys.
Wish few operators would restore and use some older trucks here! Love all the classic trucks Leyland Foden and ERF was ones I learned too work on as a kid they was great trucks too work on!
Tim I’ve never seen a video our you pulling a cattle trailer. Make one brother. Love the FLD👍👍👍
FLD ,that was my first truck I bought, and I loved it.
Hey Tim I would definitely keep the Freightliner and pull the rgn with it for your self that is to good of a truck to put a driver in it and the exhaust up the sides like your red classic freightliner
You love and now you got me thinking of a truck to get one
It's good to see that I'm not the only one that sometimes forgets where I'm at in the gears and misses
Nice looking fld. They are a good riding truck. Drove one in trucking school 60 series Detroit 10 speed
Tim another home run congrats brother. Hey brax
Sending ❤❤❤ Gentry and sons love the videos
New to your channel ! FLD Not a bad looking truck !
Love the sound of that turbo
I have a shit ton of miles in those FLDs and those monitors are pretty dang accurate from my experiences. 6 mpg is real close to your loaded average in one of those. That's about what I used to average. I drove for over 30 years, We "My dad" farmed a couple thousand acres in Indiana and I hauled my very first load of corn to the Gold Proof elevator in Louisville Ky on my 16th birthday. 1980. Those 60 series are without a doubt the best engine that Detroit ever made. They saved that company from bankruptcy that's a fact. I remember it well. Detroit was just about ready to go belly up after the newer Cats and Cummins came out then they released that 60 Series and everything changed. Don't run the hell out of them and keep 'em serviced and there's no reason you can't get 2 million mile out of them.
Hope you find the driver for the job. Great find on the truck too. See ya on the next one.
