I’ve seen people do this and a lot of times, as a long as you use a high pop card, you resubmit until it gets a 10 as long as it’s fairly close to gem.
@tazplatyrl yea thats wack just proves they all about keeping pops down on certain cards which is bs if its a 10 its a 10 not a 9 bc you your boss has the card in a 10 and doesnt want his card devalued
Psa keeps serial numbered cards in their database depending on the value. So like if you send a /199 card maybe not, but anything /25 or under I’ve heard they keep track of it
Agreed. Just like saying Luka is a good player or not. That's subjective.Because reputable grading companies provide an extra layer of authentication will keep them in the game forever.Sorting through all the graders will be interesting and let's hope none of them have any internal fraud scandals.
It would be interesting to compare tech based grading companies (e.g. Arena Club, AGS, TAG) and their grading reports to see if their tech detects the same defects.
@thereverendripps1733 true I only grade p.c so I use sgc but people look at my 10s and low ball me and there excuse is. It's sgc, I get it but I'll just keep the card. If I can't at least get a halfway decent offer on a 10
This is a pretty cool video. Like the idea of putting the graders against each other. Nothing you can really do about it with regards to timing though cuz that's all on them. The only way you would be able to put it out relatively quickly is if you pick some cards that have similar features and send them all out at the same time to see how they grade. It definitely feels a lot of the time with grading it's a lot like school and just depends on who your grader is haha. Some are more lenient, others are harsher, if they're in a bad mood, they might slam you a bit more than they normally would🤣
I'd like to see Arena vs. Tag since they are both using computer assisted grading. Everyone knows PSA/SGC/Beckett can/will be all over the place, depending on the person grading.
I have some of my best cards in Beckett and I have zero bias toward any particular grading company. Today PSA seems to be in the best shape moving forward in the hobby. Interesting showcase thanks. SGC case was very nice as well as Arena
Wanting to get back into the hobby after 30 years out. Binge-watching your football content, and using it to learn what I like and what I can afford. Love your content!
Interesting video, I’m one of those guys who really don’t trust grading company’s with my cards and it takes so long to get your cards back, so I just buy already graded cards to avoid the heartache. Lol.
Honestly, this played out kind of like I thought it would. BGS being the strictest grading, arena club being the least strict but also inconsistent. PSA is usually consistent while also grading a half to a whole point above BGS with the cards I’ve collected and seen. Interesting how you mentioned that BGS was a little less strict than some of the others. Great video. Appreciate the time and money put into this.
They have all the reasonings for their grades online. The main reason they don’t get more submissions is because PSA and BGS bring the highest resale value from their grades.
To be honest, grading cards takes the hobby to another level. Gives me the same ups and downs as ripping loaded and dead packs/boxes. Thanks for the vid Mr Packman
Great video! Love to see how the different card graders grade cards. You ever try AGS? Seems like what Arean Club is doing, using AI to inspect the card. I think I may try my luck with some grading cards! Thanks Pack!
I've always loved how Beckett (and Arena) label the sub grades on the slab. With as big as grading has become you'd think other companies would be doing the same by now. I feel like PSA should've started this around 4-5 years ago.
Pack, the question is who is the peeps grading the cards. Is there a certification program, cause never seen BA available for grading cards. Do a video of who the people that grade and how they are trained to grade. As much as i hate to say it should AI doing grading.
I would love to see a video of you submitting a card that looks "perfect" on the surface, but you know, one of the corners has been very, very, very slightly trimmed, a small surface issue or spot on the front and the back of the card, created when you "intentionally" rubbed too hard with a microfiber cloth and with slight edge wear, that can only be seen under magnifying glass. The reason i would like to see a video about that is, because you are sending in a card, not with obvious damage like the Luka, but damage that a grader must thoroughly examine to see. That way, if you sent "that" card to four grading companies and 1 out of 4 caught each and every issue with the card, 2 out of four recognized that the card had surface issues, but 3 out of four missed the slightly, slightly, slightly "trimmed" edge, then "that" would be extremely telling. I said all that to say this: Send in cards that you know aren't a GEM, but the discrepancies are tough to catch, just to see how thorough the companies are! If four out of four grading companies caught each issue, then I will be man enough to say I was wrong, but I don't see an apology brewing anytime soon.
When I was at Fanatics Fest a few months ago, I saw a guy who was buying a whole table of cards....I thought it was you and he told me no. needless to say, I was very embarrassed. 🤣
Love this type of content and video. I would never consider ever sending thick cards to PSA. Never ever. TAG for me but still love seeing these videos and human grading all over the place. Best part would be to send them again back to PSA. Odds that all 4 come back same grade - under 10% chance!🎉🎉
Awesome video Pac!! Next you should send the same card to a company that uses computers to grade the cards multiple times to see if they are consistent
I think the concept of grading is great, but clearly it's not being executed correctly. They should have each card be graded by at least two people, so they can compare notes and reach a consensus grade rather than one person being the final say.
If you own a grading company, having 2graders for just 1 card, your productivity will decrease by 50%. Just imagine if your grading company has a target of at least 10,000 slabs per day and now it will decrease to 5000. So you end up hiring more people to maintain the 10k slabs target per day and raise your grading rates since your man power is now doubled. Im pretty sure if PSA does that and im PSA fanboy. Ill stop using PSA and switch to BGS or SGC.. or you will still maintain the price and let the submission piles up. Do you think your customers will be happy if your behind schedule and experience the time where submission will take at least 6months or more?
Some grading companies seam very lax with ultra modern, then PSA seems to have bad days. I've seen way to many cards grade a 10 with SGC or others and probably should and the same card grade a 7 or 8 with PSA. It could be a perfect card and you get an 8 with no reason why. We need standards across the industry. It affects the value so much there should be standards that all companies have to follow. Most people that know what to look for are not going to submit a damaged ultra modern that isn't going to grade high. It's just not worth doing
I like Arena Club as its a flat rate price like you said. I like the trading aspect of it too. I don't know many friends that personally collect cards so its cool to be able to reach a wider audience with your showroom to trade or sell.
Cool video. My experience has been the lower valued cards get the higher grades, while the big money cards get squeezed into a lower grade. Every time. Pop control ?? Would love to see you send a new low end card, a new high end card, and a vintage low and high end card, see those variations. Also, mentioned before, send this same 4 card set to tie same company; 4 different times. See the “bad day” effect, or the “high value card” effect.
This was super interesting to watch and a great idea! Prior to watching your vids I didn't have any knowledge of Arena Club but I'm liking what I'm seeing so far! Any thoughts on CGC?
Nice vid! It’s very interesting to see the difference in the different grading companies and how they grade. Personally my favorite grading company is PSA.
Great video! I sent one card to get graded only issue i saw was a printing line. All corners were sharp , when i got the card back one of the corners was damaged really bad on the back only. Wouldve never sent the card in to get grading with a corner that bad. For everyone that grades make sure you take lots of photos of your card before sending out for grade!!!
Held off on grading a card for years and finally decided to get it graded yesterday… hope the psa grader is in a good mood lol. Great experiment for sure
Awesome video shows how’s subjective grading is. I’m in Australia and grade with CGA because it’s the best here and it’s nearly three times as expensive to send a card to the states to get done.
Yo whats up packman, i know you probably don't remember me but I started watching u when I was in 5th grade around 4 to 5 years ago. The whole grading industry just seems ripe for fraud. These graders make slightly more than minimum wage so it seems they might be game to take a few grand under the table to guarantee a 10 on a mega card. That and the inconsistency between companies doesnt help either.
I never grade any PC Cards. The fact that you can send the same card in and get different grades on different days that can affect the resell value so much is crazy to me.

It's tough psa can be unrealistic at times with there grading
How long did it take for PSA to return them? I sent my rookie lebron in a month ago at GameStop
I really like SGC. They are fast, fair, and I really like the look of the slabs. The black outline really makes the cards pop and standout.
I’m gonna start entering these giveaways! Day: 5
BGS except its soooo expensive
I wonder what would happen if you send the same card to the SAME company several times.
Did it with a vintage….first was a 1.5, ended with a 3
Psa keeps serial numbered cards in their database depending on the value. So like if you send a /199 card maybe not, but anything /25 or under I’ve heard they keep track of it
@@LuchoMellera NEO got a 6 from PSA, resubmitted it, and received a 10.
The grading industry is crazy they hold so much value doing things seemingly subjectively most of the time.
On some cards there is definitely that risk but from this video most of the time they are pretty consistent from company to company.
Agreed, I just prefer the look that SGC has over all of them. I think PSA looks terrible.
Its always gonna be subjective when a actual person is grading something
Agreed. Just like saying Luka is a good player or not. That's subjective.Because reputable grading companies provide an extra layer of authentication will keep them in the game forever.Sorting through all the graders will be interesting and let's hope none of them have any internal fraud scandals.
I would have loved to see a couple cards in there that were in better condition to see how each grading company grades good looking cards.
SGC only gives you an auto grade if it gets a 10 and they don't charge extra. It's well known psa is harsh on thick cards so no surprise there
I never comment but am taking the time to tell you that this content remix is unique and appreciated. I love the rips and this is a nice addition.
The best solution is if every company gave a one sentence summary on why the card got its grade, or do it like beckket with the sub grades
TAG is the most open about why a card got a certain grade.
Won't be long until they rise to the top
Just started getting into the hobby and it’s fascinating how different companies grade each card. Thanks for the video!
Thanks Packman, great video! Would love another video with other graded companies too!
PSA usually gives thick cards low scores so if you get a PSA 10, it must be the best conditioned card ever.
One of your best videos. Missed CGC though but thanks for the great content
It would be interesting to compare tech based grading companies (e.g. Arena Club, AGS, TAG) and their grading reports to see if their tech detects the same defects.
SGC is underrated
Until you try to sell them, especially modern.
@@thereverendripps1733that's because people are PSA snobs
@thereverendripps1733 true I only grade p.c so I use sgc but people look at my 10s and low ball me and there excuse is. It's sgc, I get it but I'll just keep the card. If I can't at least get a halfway decent offer on a 10
I only use sgc. But resell is tough on. Them
I'm going to start using arena club.... Thank you for feed back
Arena slaps are worth significantly less. Only do Arena if it’s for your PC
I’ve only graded with PSA. However, I’m going to try TAG for my PC cards because the slab is the most aesthetic to me.
such a cool video would love to see more videos testing the grading companies!
Love this as a video. I always want to see comps between grading services
VERY awesome company evaluation comparisons and editing! The reveal felt seamless 💰💯
No joke this could be your most influential vid, next vid should def be cards that have chance to gem
Cool experiment. Die-Cuts, print-lines for next idea suggestions
That’d be fun!!!
luka has a print line
Also you should include one that you think is an obvious 10
Thanks for taking the time to do this and share results
Wild. I wish u would of included CGC.
This is a pretty cool video. Like the idea of putting the graders against each other. Nothing you can really do about it with regards to timing though cuz that's all on them. Interested in seeing TAG & CGC grading
This was a cool experiment. Love the vids man keep it up
I love this video idea!!! It’s crazy how much grading does for your cards either in a good or bad way depending on the grade
Loved this content/ topic! Would definitely like to see more on this!
Would love to see CGC and FCG next
Thanks for the video. Very interesting to prove the inconsistency of grading. Still do it but can be frustrating.
Arena is way too lenient. I've seen badly centered cards get 10s or 9.5s or surface issues get good grades too. I would have liked to see CGC instead.
SGC only places an auto grade if its a 10. Basically need consistent ink and auto not coming off of sticker or card
I'd like to see Arena vs. Tag since they are both using computer assisted grading. Everyone knows PSA/SGC/Beckett can/will be all over the place, depending on the person grading.
This is why pack is the best card creator he is always finding original content to do keep up the awsome work
Great Video bro!!! That's some serious dedication!!! Appreciate you!! 💥💥💥

the video we all wanted to see but didnt know we wanted

This is exactly the video I needed. Bought a few high ends recently and haven’t graded in over a decade
Very cool comparing the different companies
Thanks for the work that went into this video. Really interesting and good insight.
This is the best video in a while, keep doing this but with PSA 10 cards
Nice vid! It’s very interesting to see the difference in the different grading companies and how they grade. Personally my favorite grading company is PSA.
Great research on grading companies!!
What was the return times like? And how was the process for each company? Any of them tedious to submit through?

Pretty interesting, but im glad to see a decent consistency across the companies.
Good video! Glad there wasn’t too much variation in grading.
Just discovered your channel. Great videos!
I never grade any PC Cards. The fact that you can send the same card in and get different grades on different days that can affect the resell value so much is crazy to me.
nice vid idea...good to see a banged corner get graded.
Packman with the hard hitting investigative journalism!😂
Nice experiment! Does Arena club slab have value ?
Arena club graded cards look so cool. I like sgc more than psa. Beckett is ok i guess. But for me its always Sgc , love the tuxedo look!
Awesome video, definitely something everyone has wondered
PSA I use mostly, very interesting going through 4 to compare. I’m always worried about cracking the slabs. Do have some cards like to crossover
