[CLOSED] COLD BLUE | Bluestar & Mapleshade Storyboarded AU MAP CALL

After 2 months of hard work, I present to you Cold Blue, an AU MAP that follows Bluestar, manipulated by Mapleshade because of their similar stories. I am surprised I haven't seen that much AU's with Bluestar and Mapleshade since they had such similar stories, so I decided to make my own.
I was heavily inspired by the following animations to create this MAP (which are more or less obvious) :

More about the AU :
Instead of Crookedstar, it's Bluestar who's manipulated by Mapleshade. To keep Crookedstar in the story, he becomes Bluestar's mate instead of Oakheart (and as a reference to the Gathering scene between Bluefur and Crookedjaw in the canon books).
Mapleshade promises to Bluefur that she is going to become a leader instead of Thistleclaw if she's willing to do sacrifices. Bluefur accepts, but gets pregnant not long after. Mapleshade suggests to give her future kits to Crookedstar, which Bluefur finaly ends up doing. Mosskit dies like in the canon books, and Bluefur is devastated. Bluestar finaly gets her nine lives but is still traumatized by the loss of her daughter.
The Redtail/Oakheart battle is also included here, but as neither Tigerclaw or Oakheart exist in this AU, it's Stonefur who dies and Mapleshade who's responsible of it by pushing the rocks on him and Redtail. Redtail is able to run to ThunderClan's camp, and tells Bluestar what had just happened. But Bluestar having a really bad mental state already at this point, still grieving over Mosskit's loss and being manipulated by Mapleshade, she ends up killing Redtail in a burst of rage.
This leaves her a bloody permanent mark on her face, in reference to the Little Pistol animatic by Nifty-Senpai. But instead of the canon events, she inflicted this bloody mark herself.
Mapleshade ends up revealing she wasn't from StarClan, and explaining she did this for revenge. Bluestar loses her faith in StarClan, symbolised by the broken star on her chest + the breaking stars scene. As Tigerstar/claw doesn't exist, it's Mapleshade who makes the rabbit trail with Brindleface's body, and Swiftpaw and Brightpaw still face the consequences of Bluestar's madness.
A dog appears and kills Mistyfoot. In a last flash of energy, Bluestar pushes the dog and herself in the gorge. When she touches the bottom of the river, Mapleshade's kits are released from their malediction since their mother got her revenge, and the dog reveals itself being Mapleshade since the begining. She won, and Bluestar ends up dying alone in the deep waters of the river, like Mapleshade's kits did.

Love how this still aligned with her goals and fulfills them, since Moss misty and stone are all part of Appledusk's bloodline she basically has a motivation to do it, and in this silverstream wouldn't exist and we know crookedstar eventually dies before the first series ends (possibly bc of Mapleshade in this au now), so she haunted his bloodline and solidly ended it as an extra fuck you to her ex, that's a girlboss move if I've ever seen it

DUDE. I got so excited when I saw a Bluestar/Mapleshade AU because I literally sometimes feel like I'm the only one who talks about the similarities. ALSO I LOVE the Little Pistol reference !! Buy The Stars and Hollyfawn are also two of my favourite MAPs so it's just so good
I'd literally love the take in this map but sadly I don't have the skills for animation,, so I'd rather someone better have the chance to be in this map

I have one thing to say.
Even if you are not-animation-skilled,
remember that you can do it; you just need to realize that. I was just like you when I started my career as an animator, but I improved quickly because I made an really small animation every day or two.
Now TA DA! Because I practiced like that, I became a skilled animator In less than half a year!
You can do it too, you have the chance right in front of you!
Just know that I believe in you, and even if it'll take a thousand years, you'll reach your goal one day.

Something I genuinely like is how Firestar isn't in this and I think that makes it much more impactful because he was Blue star's rock and if it wasn't for him taking charge of things near the end of her life things in Thunderclan would've crashed and burned just like this.
Firestar was her one remaining grip on reality and with him not here at all she had no one around who she felt she trusted and I genuinely like how that is displayed here
absolutely haunting au concept, the utilization of mapleshade and bluestar in the same map caught my eye immediately. lovely storyboard as well! applied, really excited to see how this map progresses :D !!

As usual your art slaps but this is on a whole new level, the sheer amount of thought and preparation put into this is just astounding, this such a heartfelt AU that really delves into what could have happened to Bluestar's psyche and is honestly genius in every way, kudos to you and those who helped make this come to life and for the storytelling this has! I also adore the song choice it is so fitting, and I sincerely believe this MAP will be epic once done and am so so excited for it!!

Hey! I have a question, when i heard this song, I was going to do a Bluestar and Mapleshade MAP with it because i thought it fit perfectly with part one of my snowkit AU. I wanted to check if someone had already did it and yes, you did, and it is a beautiful AU! But my AU is very different, and i was wondering if i could use this same song with my AU? If not I totally understand, I don't want to make you uncomfortable by making a map with the same somg and characters. ❤️
